“Wow,nice!”Nolan said.“Does it having running water?”
Rick laughed.“Of course.It’s got all the comforts of home.You should have seen it when I first bought it.It’s come a long way.I’m pretty proud of it.”
Nolan nodded in appreciation of Rick’s craftsmanship.
“The bathroom is in the back between the two bedrooms,”Rick said.
“My clothes?”
“Throw them out the door and I’ll wash them.I’ll try to find you something to change into.”
Nolan wanted nothing more than to drag Rick into the shower with him,but he thought Rick’s suggestions made sense.At least until they’d talked some things out.Once he’d washed all the Pop Tart and gravel dust off his body,he exited the shower to see what Rick had laid out for him.The white linen shirt was way too big on him,but once he had it on he liked how breezy the fabric felt against his skin.And the smell.Nolan held the fabric up to his face and inhaled deeply.He could smell Rick.Earthy,honest and unmistakably masculine.His body reacted to the scent and Nolan found it difficult to fit his erection into the white cotton briefs he had been provided.He momentarily considered just wearing the button-up and the briefs but he didn’t want to come off too slutty.The camo cargo shorts were also too large,but they had a good belt already threaded through the loops that he was able to tighten enough to keep the shorts on his hips.
He wandered out the house and found Rick sitting on the deck,enjoying the peacefulness of the lake.He sat down and took the large Mason jar filled with iced tea that was sitting beside the only unoccupied chair.“This mine?”
Rick nodded and said quietly,“Nolan,you shouldn’t have come here.”
“Why would you say that,Rick?I have been going crazy wondering where you were and what was going through your head.”
“You don’t think I’ve been freaking out?I have missed you so bad it hurts,but we can’t do this.”
“Damn it,Rick.Why?Why can’t we be together?”Nolan could feel that his eyes were dangerously close to overflowing as his handsome lover studied his face for what seemed like an eternity.
With a deep sigh,Rick said,“I really messed things up with the kids and I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to make it up to them.When Cameron said he thought he loved you and asked how I could have gone after you like that,I didn’t know what to say.I can’t hurt him anymore.I had to go.It killed me to walk away,but I had to do it for Cam’s sake.”
“It’s not up to Cam,Rick.It’s up to me and it’s up to you.”
Rick only nodded and looked out onto the lake with a sad expression.
“And besides,it won’t work out with Cam and me.”
“How can you know if you haven’t tried?”
Nolan sighed.“I couldn’t find you at home and I couldn’t reach you on your phone.I was going insane.That plus a lot of other crazy shit went down and Cam was there for me the whole time.He begged me to give him a chance and I agreed.”
Storm clouds crossed Rick’s frowning face.“I see,”he said,taking a drink of his tea while studying Nolan’s face.
“Don’t worry.We didn’t do anything.Well,not much anyway.”
Rick snorted and sat his glass down with a thud,paying way too much attention to the patterns his thumb made as it wound its way through the condensation on the jar’s surface.
“It’s not like that.We both had our pants on the whole time.The point is,I couldn’t stop thinking about you.Everything Cam did,I compared to how you did it.There’s nothing there for me as far as a relationship with Cam is concerned.He’s my friend and he always will be if I have anything to say about it.But,Rick,you have to believe me when I say there is no way I could ever be with him.If I can’t have you,I don’t want anyone.”
“Really?”Rick looked over at Nolan and a solitary tear slid down his cheek.
Nolan crossed to Rick in a flash and climbed into his lap.He smoothed his palm across Rick’s cheek,wiping away the tear,before cupping the back of Rick’s head.He leaned forward and gave him the most tender kiss he could manage before pulling back to look him in the eye.“Really.”
Rick reached up and pulled Nolan back for a deeper kiss and Nolan began rocking his hips forward and back,thrilling at the excited lump he could feel forming in Rick’s pants.
Rick began unbuttoning the shirt Nolan was wearing while his tongue was finding its way into Nolan’s mouth.He worked his way along Nolan’s jaw line to his neck.He lightly bit at the younger man’s delicate flesh and Nolan cried out and arched his back in surprise and desire.Rick’s dragged his stubbled chin over Nolan’s erect nipple before taking it into his mouth.The suction caused Nolan to grab Rick’s head and grind it against his chest.
Nolan tore himself away and stood up before extending his hand toward his older lover.“Let’s go to the bedroom.”
Rick wasted no time in standing up,but instead of following Nolan toward the bedroom,he scooped him up into his arms and carried him back to the bedroom where he playfully tossed him onto the bed.Rick pulled off his shirt before letting out an excited growl and leaping onto the bed after him.He took a position over the younger man,supporting his own weight on his elbows as he lost himself in their kiss.
Nolan’s mind was swimming as an undeniable heat began building with him.He needed Rick so fully and completely that if Rick didn’t take him right here and right now,he felt he’d either burst into flame or pull himself in two.He raked his fingers down Rick’s back as he ground his cock against the sexy,experienced man.
