Chapter 94 Hopefully Not Too Late
Chapter 94 Hopefully Not Too Late
'Elijah....' Elena's mind screamed weakly for the last time. Her brown eyelids felt unbearably heavy, until finally the world around her slowly darkened and collapsed into absolute darkness.
Elena's slender body suddenly went limp, hanging helplessly in the grip of the hired men. Her digital pen and work folder slipped from her fingers, scattering on the cold, dirty cement floor.
"Hurry and wrap her up!" Eleanor Vance commanded in a very cold tone, showing not a trace of mercy.
"Take her to container number three hundred and seven at the lower dock. The cargo ship to Northern Europe leaves in one hour. Make sure she doesn't wake up before that ship crosses the international maritime border!"
"Right away, Mrs. Vance," the leader of the burly men replied with an obedient nod.
With quick, trained movements, they shoved Elena's unconscious body into a thick black canvas sack, loaded it onto an iron trolley, and pushed it out through the warehouse's iron door.
The freezing night wind and Queens' snowflakes immediately greeted their steps as they moved through the labyrinth of silent, dark giant container rows.
Meanwhile, at exactly ten-fifteen at night, a military-scale cyber catastrophe officially exploded across all of lower Manhattan.
Inside the rear cabin of an encrypted armored car racing through the Queens snowstorm, Elijah sat upright with the calm of the deadliest apex predator.
The young man no longer wore his red plaid flannel shirt; he was now clad in a solid black tactical suit bearing the Apex Sovereign emblem, layered with a long black coat engraved with the main Blackwood clan's silver dragon emblem.
His sapphire blue eyes dimmed completely, emitting an intensely thick, icy-cold murderous glint.
On his lap, an ultra-thin digital laptop displayed a red GPS coordinate blinking in the area of dock number four in Queens. That dot was the signal from a micro-tracking chip he had discreetly sewn into the seam of Elena's maroon wool coat that afternoon.
The red signal suddenly stopped moving, locking onto a static position within the abandoned port container area.
At that same moment, a private cyber notification from Marcus appeared on the main monitor screen.
\[Young Master, the biometric sensor system detects Miss Elena's heart rate suddenly weakening to an unconscious phase. Audio signals captured the use of chloroform-type chemical sedatives. They have successfully moved Miss Elena out of the main warehouse toward the border cargo area.\]
Crack!
Elijah slammed his fist against the digital console table beside him, shattering the glass screen surface into a thousand pieces.
The highest Blackwood clan dragon's firm jaw tensed perfectly until the veins in his neck bulged severely, radiating such a massive and deadly intimidating aura that the two tactical guards in the cabin immediately bowed their heads in fear, holding their breath deeply.
"Marcus," Elijah hissed, his low, deep baritone voice flowing so stiffly yet laden with absolute death threats.
"Activate Black Isolation Protocol across the entire Queens district. Shut down all electrical power, cellular signals, and satellite radio frequencies within a three-kilometer radius of dock number four. Do not let a single cargo ship or four-wheeled vehicle move their engines even a millimeter."
"R-Right away, Young Master!" Marcus answered in a panicked, trembling voice through the front intercom.
"The first-layer perimeter forces have already locked the port's main gates!"
"One trillion dollars of the Vance clan's funds and the remaining Morgan allies in Northern Europe," Elijah whispered into the night darkness outside the car window, his eyes narrowing sharply with a very cruel predator's grin.
"They thought they could treat my empress like merchandise on my own territory? Perfect. Tonight, I myself will lead this mass purge, and I will ensure the entire Vance family lineage crawls on their own blood before sunrise."
Back at dock number four in Queens.
Suddenly, all the watchtower spotlights and port streetlights went out completely and instantly, leaving absolute, silent darkness under the falling winter snow.
There was no phone signal, no radio frequency, and even the giant cargo ship's engines, ready to depart, suddenly died completely due to the EMP electromagnetic wave released by Apex Sovereign's system.
In front of container number three hundred and seven, the three burly men who were preparing to load the canvas sack containing Elena into the iron container instantly jolted in panic.
"What's happening to the power?!" shouted one of the hired men, quickly reaching for his tactical device, but the screen only displayed a blood-red silver dragon logo with the words: \[ACCESS DENIED - PROPERTY OF APEX SOVEREIGN\].
"Our signal is dead! This isn't a conventional blackout!" shouted the second man in a trembling, frightened voice, his spy nerves suddenly detecting a high-level danger he had never faced in his life.
Boom!
Before they could take a single step to escape, the iron gate barrier across the dock shattered into pieces from the impact of a solid black military tactical vehicle that crashed through without warning.
Blood-red infrared spotlight beams from dozens of special forces long-barreled weapons immediately cut through the darkness, locking onto the chests of the three burly men within one second.
From behind the smoke and scattered metal fragments, a tall figure stepped forward with the calm of a supreme mastermind whose territory had just been illegally violated.
His long black coat, engraved with the main clan's silver dragon emblem, fluttered in the freezing sea wind.
Elijah.
A very cruel, sexy, and deadly predator's grin beautifully etched itself onto his marble-hard handsome face as his sapphire blue eyes glinted through the night darkness, ready to bring down anyone who dared to touch the perimeter of his little paradise.
