Chapter 29

Blaises POV

The moment I feel the earth move from under my feet I jump up in surprise from my seat in the living room.

I’m quite surprised by the sudden movement and I immediately move towards the door and begin to make orders. Sending the men to go after the women and take them somewhere where they can be safe.

I rush myself towards the main door and prepare myself mentally for the worst.

There are bombs being thrown everywhere as people run away to try to avoid them.

Suddenly I’m caught off guard when I see my mark light up a dark blue. “what?”

Alex’s POV

“Patrick! Wait!” I scream as I hit the door over and over as I slowly look around the room.

I feel the whole room spin and then my mark starts to light up a dark blood red as it begins to spread small tingles up my arm. “Shit”

“Patrick! Please I’m not feeling so good!” I hit the door again and again “Pat Please… something’s wrong!”

I slowly begin to fall on the floor and I can’t help but feel dizzy. “Shit, shit, shit!”

Patrick’s POV

The moment I close the doors I can’t help but feel bad for her as she yells from the top of her lungs. Although I know that she is safer inside of there then out here, I can’t help but feel indebted to her.

Suddenly a sweet strawberry smell catches my attention. I can’t help but like the way it smells and the heat that it brings to my body the moment I smell it.

“Something’s wrong!” I hear her say as I slowly back away. Then just like I expected it she begins to scream. ‘She’s in heat…’

Blaises POV

I walk outside of the castle doors with no one else besides me. All alone as every single one of my enemies look up to observe me from top to bottom.

Some smile wickedly at the thought of perhaps killing me and ripping me into pieces. I can’t help but feel superior as I look at them from the top of the stairs.

With my arm still glowing I stand there a I look at them and without an expression I lift up my arm and cover the floor with ice. The whole place is soon covered in clear ice. The way the moon reflects it’s on it makes it glow and everyone looks up at me in pure shock. As if they never expected the rumors to be true.

They gasp as they look up at me and tremble in fear as I begin to freeze their feet slowly. Some grow so fearful that the moment the ice touches their feet they begin to run away from the castles grounds.

I begin to walk down the stairs as I look at then tremble.

I can’t help but smirk at the fear that spreads out in the air from them. I feel this feeling of amusement as I freeze their feet even more to the point that the ice reaches their knees.

It’s a weird feeling that I have never experienced and it scares me. The way that I am now is not like myself and I realize that very much.

I finally snap out of it when I hear a voice call me from behind me.

“Blaise!, Alex is…” Patrick pauses when he looks at me and slowly lowers his gaze as he looks down at the floor nervously.

“What’s wrong?” I ask calmly “Alex, she…” he pauses as he sighs softly. “She’s in heat.”
