Chapter 23

Blaises POV

I wake up to find the other side of the bed empty. 'no surprise there'

I sit up as I pass a hand through my hair. I have never slept so well in my entire life, yet woken up so horribly in the morning.

I feel like I just had a one night stand without the sex and the alcohol.

I get up from the bed and put on my shoes as I walk out of the room.

"Blaise!" I hear Eric yell my name as he stops in front of me panting. 

"what's wrong?" I ask confused. 'did Alex do something again?'

he stops panting "Alex shes in the office and shes mad."

'well shit'

I run behind Eric as he leads the way. 'what in the world could have happened?'

I begin to wonder if my life will always be like this. in the morning ill be feeling like I had a one night stand and ill be called to a place where Alex will be fuming with anger only to just get hurt as I try to stop her.

when we finally make it to the throne room I can no longer run. this place is so big and I practically just ran a mile just to get here surprisingly in less than eight minutes. 

I look up at the offices room and I hear things breaking inside. I walk towards the door and stand by the wall as I reach to open the door but something beats me to it.

by 'something' I mean the door itself beats me to it. it flew across the room.

I gasp as I see a man with long curly brown hair on top of the door with blood on his mouth and with a black eye and some bruises.

Alex comes out of the room and her right hand is literally on fire. I know I should be like 'what the hell?' but I'm not.

I'm more interested in how hot she looks. the fire on her hand makes her hair and eyes stand out. she looks powerful and like a god.

not just any god though, she looks like the god of war. a very sexy version of him.

she is about to run towards the unconscious man on top of the door when I grab her by the waist. "whoa! where are you going?" I ask playfully as I push her against the wall. the moment I touch her the flame in her hand disappears.

"Blaise let go! that guy!"

"I don't think so" I look at her in the eyes and she freezes. 

"Blaise he raped so many girls" she says as she makes a fire appear in her right hand. she pushes me away and I'm enraged.

not because she almost burnt me or because she disrespected me but because she's thinking about another male instead of me. shes forgotten about me to the point that she doesn't realize how disappointed I am that I woke up alone, again.

I feel a tingling sensation on my left hand and the mark begins to glow a dark blue. I walk over to Alex and the moment I touch her flame is gone. "let go of me Blaise or ill burn you!"

she begins to try to make a flame with her hand but it doesn't work. "why isn't it working?"

still holding her right hand I pull her and carry her over my arm. 

"Eric make sure he ends up in the cells. ill deal with him later, also make sure you get everything ready for us to make the announcement of the new law changes." he nods and I take Alex towards our room as she struggles to be freed.

as soon as we enter the room I let her go and pushes me against the wall. she punches the wall besides me and looks at me with her dark red eyes.

"I thought I would be helping you with your frustration?"

she looks at me and then she pulls me towards her making our lips touch with strong force. I pull her towards me as she pulls me closer to her. 

suddenly she pushes me making me lose my balance and I fall on the bed. 

she gets on top of me and begins to kiss my neck lightly. I let out a groan, wanting her to press her soft lips closer to my skin. "Alex"

she smiles as she puts her hands under my shirt, making me shiver in pure delight.

she playfully bites my neck and that makes me go crazy. I flip her over making me the one on top of her and I slowly lift her shirt up touching her smooth soft skin as she moans.

my lips make their way towards her mark "Blaise" she says in a husky voice as my hand enters her bra and I touch her nipple lightly. 

she growls as she flips me over making her the one on top again. 

her lips quickly make their way towards my ear "this will hurt a bit"

I'm suddenly confused. 'what is going to-'

she pulls out her fangs and she bites my neck marking me as hers. at first it hurts but then I get this really good sensation all over my body. I pull her closer to me and I feel her pull her canines out and then she licks the wound making it heal.

she falls on the bed next to me breathing heavily. "sorry, I bit you."

I chuckle. I'm currently the happiest man alive.

Alex marked me and I never thought she would ever do it. I turn to look at her and her eyes glow with some excitement as she looks at me smile. "are you kidding! I'm so happy, I never though you would do it."

she looks at me and blushes "I wasn't, its too embarrassing."

"but you just did it."

"I got caught by the moment like my dad says" she smiles sitting up on the bed. "what exactly do I have to wear to announce the new changes? I don't have to wear a dress right?"

"you can wear whatever you want," I say to her wishing to see her in a dress myself but knowing that, it wont happen any time soon.

 after I'm done changing into some dark blue jeans and into a grey dress shirt I walk over to Eric as he looks at me from top to bottom. "well, you look nice"

I smile brightly "I got to give them a good first impression before they all decide to kill me"

we suddenly hear the distant foot steps of what seems like high heels. I turn to see Alex walking over to us. she's not wearing a dress but the way her clothes fly freely on her body it looks similar to a dress.

shes wearing some tight blue shorts with a black tank top and a black shirt that looks transparent like. it flows around her body almost making it look like a cape as she wears some shoes that look in between boots and heels. 

I smile as she walks over to me with a blush on her cheeks.

"I'm not wearing a dress but you still look at me with those eyes."

"what eyes?" I ask her confused.

"your eyes they turn dark blue sometimes. they make me nervous" she says looking away.

I smile as I pull her hand lightly towards me. shes now standing besides me as I put an arm around her waist. 

"once you enter this room all of the most powerful officials will be here waiting for you to introduce yourself." Eric looks at the both of us as I look at Alex and she looks back at me. "once it is said, there is no going back"

Alex and I both look ahead at the door with our heads held up high. 

there is something beyond this door that makes me nervous. it fills me up with a desperate feeling of holding on to Alex and running away from it but I don't. this is something that we must do no matter what. 

of course there will be challenges for the both of us, but we will face them together, I know that.

knowing that, is what makes me stronger.

Alex’s POV

 the doors open up and the men sitting around a large table stand up as they look at us in amazement. 

we begin to walk inside and we stand in front of them now. I can feel the perverted stares of the men all over my body. I shiver in disgust as I feel Blaises hold tighten around my waist.

the men look at our marks and they look shocked.

"so it's true." I hear an elder man with a cane say as he looks at me and especially at Blaise in interest. I move closer to Blaise feeling uncomfortable at how much this man is staring at my mate. "relax I'm not gonna steal your man" he says laughing.

I can't help but feel embarrassed as everyone stares at me questioningly. I just bite the inside of my cheek as I hear Blaise chuckle besides me. 'stupid old man, you just couldn't keep your trap shut...'

I suddenly feel Blaise pull me towards a chair in the center of the table as he pulls out the chair he motions me to sit and I do. he stands besides me making me feel guilty for making him stand.

"so what did the new king and queen want to discuss?" a man around his late thirties asks eyeing my chest.

Blaise sees it and I can hear his grip tighten on the chair where he is holding it. "we wanted to inform you of some of the changes that will be made in the kingdom." 

I look at everyone look towards Blaise as he shows no sign of weakness. I smile proudly at him. 'who would have thought he was an omega just a few days ago'

"we want to get rid of the law regarding the half humans." Blaise says as a couple of men get up and insult him.

"are you crazy! just because you have the marks of the king and queen you think you can walk in here and change everything!" one man says as he glares at Blaise.

"it's true, who made you think an omega can rule over a kingdom?" another man slowly stands up to look at Blaise in the eyes.

I want to get up and defend Blaise, but I know that he must do this on his own if he wants people to believe in him. silence fills the room and I'm about to say something but Blaise beats me to it "you may leave then. there are many people out there who would love your position. we aren't here to ask you for permission. we are here to inform you."

at that moment I can't help but smile. I want to get up and kiss him for his manliness but I'm sure these men don't want to see us get all hot and bothered in front of them.

they all look at me noticing me smiling as I look at the doors suddenly fly open and I'm frozen stiff in my chair. it takes me a second before I violently get up from my chair "what the hell are they doing here?"
