Chapter 30

Soren walked quickly through the dimly lit alleys. His face was flat, while his feelings were anxious. He had to warn Erik immediately to release his werewolf girl or something bad would happen. Without apology or knock, Soren kicked open the door to the room where Erik was sitting majestically, drinking fresh blood.

And sure enough, Erik was sitting haughtily with one leg raised, holding a clear glass filled with a viscous reddish liquid.

"If you don't want to die on the spot, don't do it again," Erik warned his best friend while sipping fresh blood from his glass.

"That warning should be directed at yourself," Soren replied a little harshly, throwing the thick file in his hand at Erik, who caught it by reflex.

"Hey, don't be rude!"

Erik put down his glass and then sat down in another, more casual position while he opened the white paper hidden behind the brown paper wrapping. Carefully, Erik began to read sheet by sheet of the white paper in his hand while stroking his chin.

"So Lalita is Luna Queen?" muttered Erik, who received a nod from Soren.

"And again, her mate is very dangerous," Soren added, which made Erik laugh so hard that his tears fell from laughing too much.

"What's dangerous?" sneered Erik as he flipped through the paper Soren gave him.

"Your werewolf girl has a mating bond with Sean Anderson, Alpha King. She is currently searching for Lalita, if she knows..."

"What kind of threat could that little dog pose?" Erik cut him off.

"You said mate bond? I will break that bond, but what is mine can never be taken by anyone," Erik stood up, burning the paper in his hands and then stepping on the ashes until they were flat.

"The bond of a mate will not be broken easily, unless one of them dies or one of them is willing to separate."

"Then I choose the first option."

Soren gasped at his best friend, who was beginning to lose his mind for the sake of a girl.

"You mean you're going to kill Sean Anderson like that?"

"Appropriately."

"You really are out of your mind."

"Hm, maybe and I think so. I'm out of my mind. This feeling can drive me crazy," Erik took the glass filled with fresh blood and drank it all in one gulp.

"So you want to make Luna Queen of the Vampire Empire?"Soren widened his eyes, hoping that his conclusion was wrong.

"If so, what can you do?"Erik looked at Soren with the corners of his eyes that radiated an intimidating aura.

Erik put down his glass and looked at his best friend with his smiling red eyes that radiated power.

Those eyes are a sign that he must obey. Soren dropped to his knees and bowed his head. After all, he is only a subordinate. He has no right to forbid the Crown Prince to do as he pleases, including things that might endanger the entire kingdom. Even the king and queen may not be able to resist the desires of their crown prince who is so possessive and violent."Wake up, Sleeping Beauty," Helen said in her trademark cold voice.

Lalita opened one of her eyes and immediately closed them again, pretending to be asleep. Helen, knowing that Lalita was pretending, immediately uncovered the soft thick blanket from the floor and then sprinkled some water on it which must have been very disturbing.

"Oh no, please stop. Helen!" Lalita shouted a little loudly, causing Helen to look at her sharply.

"Shut up, call me Alin. I'm trying to disguise myself this time. If my cover is blown, not only will I die, but so will my mother," Helen whispered warningly.

"Is it that bad?" asked Lalita no less seriously, and Helen nodded.

Helen sat on the edge of the bed where Lalita slept. Her eyes looked sad for a moment. But when she looked at Lalita, they immediately radiated joy. Helen smiled without making it up as she did in front of Erik. A sweet, sincere smile without being forced that usually radiated pain.

"Helen?"

"Yes?"

"Have you ever had feelings for someone before?" asked Lalita, suddenly hugging her knees.

Helen was a little surprised by the question Lalita had just asked. But quickly Helen was able to neutralize her shocked expression."Once, even I still like it," Helen's eyes, which usually stared flat, now lit up slightly and seemed happier to remember.

"What did the person you like look like?"Lalita asked with some interest.

"He was tough and calm," Helen closed her eyes, trying to recall the beautiful memory that refused to go away.

"His eyes are as black as the abyss in the deep sea. He also has a smile that radiates power."

Again Helen's mind wandered to the past where she almost died at the hands of the Rogues. Iris narrowed Helen's eyes, then they began to empty. A dark but precious memory played in his mind like a fast-paced movie on the big screen. His mind spun erratically, seeing past events that were quite imprinted in his memory. Then he began to recount what he had been through until the wings of death were almost upon him.

The little girl was injured, then moved in a hurry and carelessly. An untidy black wolf managed to pounce on him, leaving painful lacerations. The girl tried to fight back but was helpless. Her left hand was broken, while her right shoulder was bitten off.

Tears began to accumulate on his eyelids and flowed down his bloodstained cheeks. As his hopes began to fade unexpectedly, a magic spell from somewhere knocked the rogue down, sending him crashing into a tree. Suddenly, the other two rogues became angry.

"Tch, how weak," sneered a boy with burning red eyes. Two other rogues immediately ran out to attack the boy, and what happened next was quite amazing. The boy managed to kill two of the fierce rogues, each with a lacerated neck and heart pierced by a sharp object.

The little girl knew nothing. She just stared at the little boy who stood with his back to her after killing the two rogues.

"Watch out next to you!" the little girl shouted, warning the boy that a Rogue was still alive and ready to pounce on him. The girl closed her eyes in fear. Soon, there was a sound of howling and something collapsing on the ground, and the girl still closed her eyes with one uninjured hand until a cold hand touched hers. The boy who helped him stood in front of him with calm, inky black irises that radiated serenity. In contrast to the bright red irises that radiated a dangerous aura, deadly for a boy his age.

"Are you hurt?"

The little girl nodded.

"Come on, come with me. We have to get out of here," the boy said, smiling sweetly at the little girl. The little girl hesitantly shook the hand of the boy who was trying to help her up.

"He saved my life," she continued.

"I fell in love with her at first sight. She is gentle, sweet, and sincere. She was not like she is now, who is cruel, arrogant and rude. I hope she can come back like the first time we met," Helen ends her story with a smile, a smile that hides a thousand scars.

"This boy is Erik Night?" asked Lalita, who was more of an explainer, and Helen nodded.

"Come here," Lalita hugged Helen who was confused between happy and sad.

"I don't know what changed him. Before I went to Hallelau, I met him after a long time. When I greeted him, there was just a dangerous aura about those jet-black eyes that flashed sharply. Since then, I have realized that he is no longer the Erik he once was. Not the boy who saved me from Rogue's clutches.

Lalita stroked Helen's back gently, hoping to help her best friend feel better. Listening to Helen's story, it seems that her own story with Sean is not so complicated. Sean is a typical person who is cold, ignorant and doesn't seem to care. But there is one thing that Lalita tries to understand the night she runs away from the pack. Sean is a bit jealous. Is that true?

Jealousy is much better than possessiveness, isn't it?' Rione chirped casually.

'Shut up, you wolves are usually much more possessive,' Lalita said, not wanting to lose.

My Stefan is a typical wolf who is warm, not cold like a human,' Rione snorted back.

"I've told you a lot about my feelings, what about yours?" asked Helen, making Lalita lick her lips, unsure of what to say.

Sean. What can Lalita describe about this creature made by God? Tough in battle. Has a cold attitude, flat and indifferent but charming. Attentive, but often makes excuses and keeps his own feelings to himself. I don't know, Lalita still doesn't really understand her partner's personality, which can be said to be more than perfect among God's other creatures.

And again, Lalita remembers her good times with Sean, which Sean doesn't necessarily remember. The moment their irises locked was almost as if time stood still. When Lalita was injured after chasing a demon tour that entered the Eclipse Pack territory, Sean came looking for her, treated her wound, and even lent her his vest. Even when he was injured by Astoria and her mate, Sean arrived just in time to protect them.Back in Lalita's memory, Sean asked her to dance in a soft voice. He gently took her hand. I vividly remember Sean asking her to step up to the podium on the same day they bonded. Sean introduced himself as Luna Queen. Queen of the werewolves, calmly and confidently.

"Tonight will be even more special with the introduction of Luna Queen. I, Sean Anderson, officially introduce to all of you my mate and Luna, who is Luna Queen, namely..."

"What are you staring at?" asked Helen, who had managed to wake Lalita from her sweet nostalgia.

"Ah no," Lalita forced a smile, though it was bitter.
