Chris
"Jack.."
My hand that dripped with blood gripped the glass piece more tightly.
It was not the pain that made me uiver in front of him.
But the fear that I felt through every vein in my body.
"Is it true?"
The question was simple and it only consisted of three words.
But that very question is what my pride is depending on.
Seconds passed by but no words left his lips.
He stood there, right in front of me but for the first time in my life, I felt like I was talking to a wall.
Just like the glass piece my hand held tightly, tears didn't listen to me and they fled out of my eyes.
My hopeless figure stepped closer before my hands fisted his shirt.
"Jack!"
My voice was breaking while I weakly pulled him.
"Please…"
I pleaded while the blasting music behind was paused.
"Please tell me this isn't true!"
I cried as he stood there with his mouth closed like someone locked it.
"Please!"
I cried aloud while the murmurs loudened within the crowd.
"*Oh my god, isn't she the one who Jack cheated on Jessica with? What a bitch*!"
"I didn't do it, Jack! Tell them!"
"*Jack, tell them*!"
"**No**!"
My body jolted up where I sat.
The silence that took over the place after my loud exclamation made my body shiver.
My hands that were folded on the bench soon unfolded before I tiredly looked around.
Uh? Why am I still in college?
My eyes blinked, trying to process everything.
My body was sore, just like my eyes that were desperate for more sleep.
A yawn left my lips as I took a glance towards the sky that was still bright.
My body froze as soon as I looked at the cloudy sky.
"**You're coming with me**."
*Right*...
A sigh left my lips as soon as everything that occured today came back to me like a dashing truck on a midnight highway.
My hands covered my face as I rested my elbows on my knees, turning away from the bench I laid my head upon awhile ago.
"God, what time is it?
Nothing came to my mind to think of as I tried to not fall asleep.
Checking my wrist before I remembered how I lost my belongings last night, I slowly put my hand on the bench once again.
Rubbing my temple as I heard nothing but the birds chirping far from the window.
"Why is it so silent here—?"
I paused in mid way when my eyes met with the whiteboard.
*Wait, why am I in an empty class*?
I frowned looking around the empty class.
It wasn't only empty but looked almost abandoned which made me feel alerted.
My eyes searched for a hint of someone around but the more I looked around, the more anxiety arose in me.
The thoughts in my mind turned a wrpse turn before my eyes widened upon hearing the loud bang.
My body flinched before I rose up in my seat within my hand taking a grip of my bag.
The bang I heard wasn't so far and it sounded as if it was *in* the class so I turned around to see if it was the door before I saw someone at the door.
my breath slowly became regular and my hand dropped the bag when I realized that it was not the man I feared of but instead, it was Jack.
With two Iced coffees in his hands, he froze there, startled by me who soon relaxed.
A small chuckle can be heard when he opened the door widely with his foot.
I, embarassed by what I just did, hung my head low.
"Sorry, I just…"
"Yeah, you just…"
His fingers grazed over mine as I flinched once again before our eyes met.
That's when I realized how close he is.
"Woke up."
His whisper fanned my cheek as he placed the coffee on the bench, making my eyes blink away the hair strands.
My lips parted to speak but nothing came to my mind as he sat in front of me.
"Uhm.. "
"Hey, I uh,"
Before I could even try to speak, this man decided to cut me off.
*Lucky me*.
"I'm sorry for bringing you here."
I frowned as I took the coffee from the table.
"What…do you.."
I tried to speak but once again, I was cutten off by his very gentle voice.
"I brought you…to the abandoned floor so.."
I watched him hesitantly pause before chuckling out.
"You mean, the floor that we used for rituals?"
His eyes met mine as I froze, surprised by my own statement.
The smile that slowly formed on his lips led my face to lit up.
"God, I almost forgot that."
He laughed nervously as I smiled but as soon as I heard him say those last words, my smile shortened.
*Of course, you forgot*..
I smiled to myself before I took a sip of the coffee which only made chills run down my body due to how cold it was.
"Are you feeling okay?"
I immediately looked up from my cup before smiling.
"Oh, yes yes! I'm perfectly fine."
I nodded before I looked down from him.
Once again, the silence surrounded us before I heard him place the cup back on the bench.
I placed mine back as well before I hesitantly looked up only to find his eyes right upon me.
An awkward smile was shared before I looked away.
*What is exactly happening right now*?
"Uhm, I think.. it's late so,"
I stood up before he did as well.
"Oh yeah! I'll..drop you or..?"
He hesitantly spoke as he took his car keys.
My eyes went to his hand before I looked at him hesitantly.
The Flashbacks of what happened months ago didn't let me agree as I took a minute of silence before I smiled at him nervously.
"Ah…no. I was actually…i have somewhere to go so–"
"Can I drop you there?"
I paused as he cut me off politely.
"No, Jack, I'm fine by myself."
I said as he tried to step closer.
My heart rapidly screamed at me to run away from him.
Run away from him, who once betrayed me as if I'm not just his best friend.
But when I looked at him once again, heade me feel guilty as if I hurted him.
I think that's what is preventing me from avoiding him but nonetheless, I shouldn't be here, talking to him.
I took the steps very fastly towards the exit, hoping for him to stay as silent as he was now while my chest heaved up with such pain that cannot be explained in words.
"Why don't you talk to me, Jule?"
I frowned as I paused.
Is he serious?
Doesn't he know?
Tears formed in my already sore an puffed up eyes while my body tiredly turned around.
"Don't you know?"
I said as he hesitantly looked down from my face.
Time to seemed to pause but my feet didn't.
Not when I saw his cheeks staining with warm tears.
Not when his betrayal that had left a wound in my heart came back fresh as if it was freshly been done.
My hands wiped my cheeks with no pause as I ran down a few floors before I felt my head bump hard over my chest.
A whimper, I stumbled back while I touched my forehead.
My eyes that flickered open widened as soon as I realized that my feet slipped over the smooth tiles of the floor.
Subconsciously, my hand extended for support but when a familiar skin grazed over mine, my body vibrated.
The hardly pouring rain led the strong wind to ruffle my hair over my face.
His grip on my arm was so strong that it made me feel secure.
So secure as if he's a person who was so close to me.
My head bumped over his hard chest once again when he took a hold of my waist, pulling me forward.
My wide eyes trailed up his jaw while I raised my head before they met his very beautiful ones.
My lips parted before he gazed at me very deeply.
My stained cheeks gripped tight before I leaned in with no hesitance.
"Chris.."
"**Jule**"
& My lips met his.
