Chapter 65. Fun time
Chapter 65. Fun time
“My aunt is back..” I whispered to Derek, my jaw dropping along.. without wasting much time, I grabbed my brazier and scurried behind the sofa, not wanting to be seen by my aunt. Derek straightened his shirt and grabbed his chips before shifting his gaze at the television. We had to stop whatever we were doing because of our aunt. I can't even begin to imagine how she would react once she sees us having a sexual encounter. My breath hitched and my heart thrummed with an erratic rhythm as I hid behind the sofa.
My aunt opened the door and stepped in, her eyes fixated on Derek.
“Is Isabel not back?” She asked with creased brows, her voice raising an octave.
“She is.. She urmm. Is in her room. She returned just recently. So, have you been able to get those items?”
Derek asked, trying to divert her attention from me.
“Yeah. I was able to get some mackerel, mayonnaise, vegetables, fruits, ketchup but I wasn't able to get my favorite sauce. I guess it's finished. It never lasts in the mall because of the high demand for it.” Aunt Caroline replied and heaved a sigh of exhaustion.
“Why don't I help you with some of the loads?” Derek suggested and she smiled as she watched him walk over to her direction. He helped her with some of her items and they both made their way to the kitchen.
I heard my aunt say, ‘You’re so sweet!’ to Derek. Faint chortles erupted between them and they spent some considerable amount of time, chatting and cooking in the kitchen.
Letting out a deep sigh of relief, I buried my face in my palms, my face flushing with embarrassment. Why do I have to get so turned on with Derek? I really have to reduce my want and cravings for his dk.
I can't keep doing things that will get us in trouble. I have to learn how to live without Derek. Not completely but maybe it will help to reduce my crave for his touches.
Gosh!
I wore my top and moved quietly to my room. There, I decided to take a shower before changing into something simple.- A crop top and a denim skirt. I let my hair down and ran my fingers into it, trying to detangle the tips. Moving slowly to my mirror, my lips bloomed into a smile as I gazed at my reflection dreamily.
“Naughty Isabel..Since when did you become this naughty?!” I sighed after asking myself the question. I reached for my cosmetics and applied it on my neck, concealing the mark Derek made on it.
My face flashed as I looked at myself in the mirror. Tilting my head and turning my neck, I tried to see if the mark had totally been concealed. My hand flew to my chest and I grabbed the silver necklace on my neck. It had an emerald gem at the middle which glistened whenever it got striked with light. The necklace was given to me by Derek and I've always kept it on my neck. It's so beautiful. The sparkling greenish color of the gem looks just like his stunning eyes.
I returned the cosmetics and left my room for the kitchen, hoping to join them in making dinner.
“Here she comes…”. My aunt taunted me as soon as she saw me. She creased her brows when she saw my dressing. The crop top revealing my tummy and the mini skirt revealing my laps.. I don't mind dressing that way. It's how I often dress since l love to be comfortable in my own home.
She shifted her gaze stylishly from me to Derek, trying to pass a message to me. Derek was unaware as he was busy dicing the carrots we needed to make the salad.
She raised her brows and I pouted my lips, getting angry at her for making such silly gestures. I'm not changing my outfit for all I care. She also loves wearing revealing outfits so why's she so bothered seeing me dress this way.
“So, what can I help with?” I asked, averting my gaze from her. I reached for the tray filled with cabbage. I fiddled with my fingers as I stared at the cabbage; I had no idea how to cut or dice it. Whichever.
I got distracted as I saw Derek mixing the ingredients for the salad. He had such great cooking skills. He looked so hot in his apron, and gloves. He was so focused on what he was doing and my aunt coughed all of a sudden. I turned to face her and she shook her head. She knew I was lost looking at Derek.
Derek carefully brought out the chicken from the microwave and I pressed my lips together, watching him garnish the meal on the fire with some parsley. He looked so hot while cooking..I pressed my lips together and tried to pull myself together as well.
No.. I have to get over Derek. Gosh! I'm getting too addicted..
“Isabel, pass me the knife,” My aunt said with raised brows and a knowing smile. Her lips curved into a meaningful smirk as she flicked her gaze at me, her bluish eyes boring into mine. I gulped down the lump in my throat with my breath getting caught in it. I had no idea she had been watching me stare at Derek all this while.
Passing the knife to her, I asked, “When will mom and dad be back? It's taking forever!”
She grinned and replied, “This is just the third day. Don't forget they'll be away for a week. They're not in Riverdale here with us so you can't expect them to return as soon as possible..”
“I'm missing my mom,” I mumbled while Derek's gaze met mine.
“I'm also missing Jayden. I wish I could stay with him throughout my stay here in Riverdale but no, I'm stuck with babysitting you two teenage-adults,”
My aunt taunted me while I smirked. “Serves you right! It's been a long time since you paid us a visit. Besides, it's just a week you'll be staying with us. Why're you complaining like it's forever..”
“Can I bring Jayden here tomorrow? He'll stay here tomorrow and overnight as well, how do you guys see that?!”
My aunt asked with a smile on her face, flicking her gaze between Derek and me.
Derek shrugged while I shook my head in disapproval. “No..no way. I don't want you to bring Jayden here…”
“Why? Is it because he teased you the last time he came here?” She asked and I frowned at her, my lips pouting along.
The last time he came, he was so loud and a little too clingy to aunt Caroline. He made her give me less attention. Also, he teased me and made fun of me so it's a no! I'm also not always comfortable with an older guy around me. And with a sleepover at my home! No way!!!
“Isabel.. please..” My aunt implored but I kept my arms crossed, narrowing my gaze at her.
“I really wished you and Derek could stay alone.. I'm really missing Jayden. Isabel, Don't you have a boyfriend? How would you feel if you don't set your eyes on him for days?” My aunt asked and I dropped my hands down gently, my furrowed brows straightening. She was right. I can't live a day without Derek… I will feel moody if I'm not with him.
“Fine,” I finally agreed and she smiled sweetly.
“Promise you won't tell your mom that I brought a guy over..” she asked.
“I promise..”
“Pinky promise?”
“Pinky promise..” I answered as we entwined our pinky fingers.
“I guess I won't be the only guy around then,” Derek added and we all bursted out laughing..
We all went to the dining room to eat after the food was ready. We made a video call with our parents and took some pictures together. After eating, my aunt played some music which we danced crazily to. We played some card games, spinned the hula hoop, watched some movies and played hide an
d seek.
Did I forget to mention this? My aunt might be crazy but she's the best!!
