Grabbing a large metallic spoon from the counter, I ran back out and used it to smash the glass and pull out the red tank.

Running back inside, I saw Nathan was now standing in front of the flames with a big jug of water in his hand.

My eyes widened and I sprinted towards him, tackling him to the ground and making the water spill all over the floor around us.

« What the hell !? Do you want us to die ? » He yelled, his eyes wide.

« No, but you clearly do ! » I exclaimed. « I just saved you from killing everyone on this floor so you're welcome. »

He just looked at me with wide eyes as the realization set in that he did in fact, not know what he was doing.

I would gloat in his face later, but right now I had a life to save.

Mine.

Getting up off of the ground and facing the increasingly scary looking flames, I took a deep breath and held up the red tank.

This was the only part I was good at in situations where there was a fire.

Opening the valve, which I'd done one too many times, I aimed the gun at the harsh flames and sprayed. The white foam extinguished the fire before me within seconds.

I breathed out a sigh of relief, instantly coughing as I inhaled the smoke. So I ran to open all of the windows and stuck my head out of one, gulping for fresh air.

After taking a few more breaths, I turned to see Nathan standing in the middle of the kitchen, his hands in his hair as he stared at the catastrophic mess in his kitchen.

I had sort of gone extra crazy with the foam and had ended up spraying every single cabinet, drawer, counter, and kitchen appliance.

« Nathan-« I started.

« Fuck. » he swore, running his fingers through his hair.

I wanted to scream at him to stop that, unless he wanted to get tackled.

« This is gonna be a bitch to clean up. » He muttered, adding some colorful words after.

« You're welcome. » I rolled my eyes.

« I could have done this a thousand times better. » He retorted.

I scoffed at that, but decided to not play into his pointless little argument.

« We can clean it up later, lets just have breakfast first. » I suggested, trying to lighten the situation. Well, the near-death experience I should say.

« There is no room to make breakfast. » He whispered, before kicking the fridge.

I was pretty sure that left a dent.

« Why don't we just order delivery or something ? » I tried again.

« There's no phone service up here. » He muttered.

« Unless… » He trailed off, his eyes suddenly becoming brighter.

« Unless… » I motioned for him to go on, wanting to desperately know if I was getting fed or not.

« Unless we go to the mall. » He thought out loud, before turning to me and smiling.

The mall !? I had a million reasons off the top of my head that I could think of for how this wasn't right.

« Okay… » I trailed off. I wasn't complaining for going to the mall and buying myself some new clothes.

And maybe a chance to escape…

« Alright then. Get ready in five minutes, I'll be waiting here. » He turned to sit down on the couch.

« But… » I trailed off, waiting for him to realize.

« But what ? » He asked, staring at me clueless.

He may be an amazing chef (when he's not getting seduced by a woman), but he was pretty dumb if he honestly didn't realize he was half naked still.

« Aren't you gonna put some clothes on ? » I asked, smirking a little.

« But wouldn't you prefer me to go out like this ? » He replied smoothly, standing up and gesturing to his perfect body.

I tried not to stare at his abs again, I really did, but I ended up failing myself again.

I snapped out of it once I realized he was doing it on purpose and met his cocky gaze.

« Go put on some clothes you man slut. » I said in a bored tone, as if his body had no effect on me.

Which was definitely not true, considering I was planning on all the things I would do to that boy if-

I cut my dirty train of thoughts short.

Bad Skylar. Kidnappers are bad. Good girls like you don't think bad thoughts about bad boys.

After giving myself a little pep talk, I walked into the washroom and took a steaming hot shower, this time double-checking that I'd locked the bedroom door.

Swiftly changing into my black skinny jeans and black tank top I had on the day of my kidnapping, I walked towards the door, leaving behind the neon jacket which was a last minute decision I had grabbed on my way out the door that day.

I stopped abruptly as I spotted a blue piece of clothing sticking out of Nathan's closet from the mirror.

Getting excited, I made my way towards it and pulled it out, a grin taking over my face at what I'd found.

My outfit was complete.

I walked out to the living room and saw Nathan had finally put clothes on, much to my dismay.

He had on a pair of dark denim jeans and a black T shirt that hugged his chest not too tight, but enough to show off that he was muscular.

I giggled slightly as I realized we were matching.

« Why are you giggling ? » He asked bluntly, staring at me as if I were retarded.

« We're matching. » I gestured to our black and denim outfits.

He stared at me for a while with an unreadable expression, before rolling his eyes.

« First my shampoo and now my clothes ? Really ? » He asked, standing up and recognizing his own blue button down denim shirt I had on, except I had it unbuttoned in the front.

I tried not to blush as I realized I had used his shampoo again.

« You're wearing the shampoo again aren't you. » He read my thoughts, giving me a look of amusement.

« Let's go, I'm starving ! » I exclaimed, walking to the entrance.
