Chapter 94

Chapter 94
Joshua
He walked into the bedroom he shared with Lucy after escorting the kids to Dragão with Aunt Lily, Amaris and Lima. She had been a zombie all week, simply going through the motions. She hadn’t spoken to anyone and everyone had heard about what happened at Dragão with Amerald. Almost everyone blamed him for “retraumatizing Lucy”, but he hadn’t meant to. He sighed as he sat on the bed and put his hand on her hip.
“Lucy, sweetheart, can we talk, please?”
“Go away, josh. I don’t want to see you,” she whispered.
“Please. I-”
He was thrown backward when Hesha’s wing came out to knock him off the bed before wrapping around her. He grunted as he hit the ground.
“Lucy, listen to me. I swear that-”
The air shifted as Hesha took full control, rolling over and sitting up on the edge of the bed to glare at him. Apollo surfaced a little, eyeing her as she got to her feet.
“You did it on purpose, didn’t you?” she growled.
“No. I was serious.”
“LIAR!”
He opened his mouth to speak but Apollo pushed him back to get up, dusting himself off.
“Believe what you want, Hesha, but you will not call us a liar. Amerald is the reason that this didn’t work. I offered both of you a chance to be together with me still with you. I tried. He chose not to accept it.”
“BECAUSE OF YOU! IF YOU TRULY MEANT IT THEN WHY WERE YOU SO ANGRY?” she screamed as she threw a punch at him.
He ducked before pinning her against the bed with her wrists above her head. He met her eyes.
“JUST BECAUSE I MADE THE OFFER DOESN’T MEAN I WOULDN’T NEED TIME TO ADJUST! WE WERE BACK AND FORTH FOR WEEKS THINKING ABOUT DOING THIS FOR YOU! AND THE FIRST TIME YOU COULD, YOU QUESTIONED MY INTENTIONS! HOW IS THAT FUCKING FAIR? YOU JUST ASSUMED! YOU HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA HOW HARD IT WAS FOR US TO EVEN WRAP OUR MINDS AROUND SHARING YOU BUT WE WERE WILLING TO THAT TO MAKE YOU HAPPY! SO HOW FUCKING DARE YOU CALL US A LIAR?”
She burst into tears and he let her wrists go to coo softly to her. He knew she was hurting and he hadn’t helped by yelling at her. He sighed as he rolled off her to gather her in his arms, cradling her gently.
“Lucy, shhh, baby, it’s okay.”
“Is this what it felt like when I rejected you?” she sniffled. “This unending anguish?”
He sighed. “No, baby. It was worse. I swear to you, I will do everything I can to make this right.” He grasped her chin to make her meet his eyes. “Please, don’t give up on me, or on us. You have to trust me and what I say.”
She wiped her nose. “Okay.”
“Promise me.”
“I promise.”
“Good girl.”
He kissed her softly before lying on the bed with her wrapped up in his arms. She ran her fingers up and down his arm while he breathed in her scent.
“Josh?”
“Yeah, Luce?”
“Can we get married next week? Maybe on Friday?” she asked quietly.
He tensed. “You want to get married next week?”
“Yes.”
“That’s really fast.”
She looked up at him with fresh tears in her eyes. “Do you not want to marry me now?”
He tucked her face into his chest.
“I do. Let’s discuss this tomorrow, okay? I want you to be sure this is what you want.”
She sighed. “It is. I don’t want to wait. You’re the only one I have. Please, don’t reject me, too.”
His arms tightened around her and he kissed her forehead. “Friday it is, baby.” He licked his lips as an idea formulated in his head. “Are we doing the human tradition?”
“What human tradition?”
“You know the party one where the groom and the bride have separate celebrations the night before or a few days before,” he said.
“No. I don’t want to, but you can. I won’t mind. I just want to marry you.”
He tipped her face up again to kiss her. “I do and I think you should consider having one, too.”
She shook her head. “I don’t want one.” She wrapped her arm around his neck and pulled him down to kiss her. “I’m sorry for accusing you of lying.”
“It’s okay. I love you, Lucy.”
“I love you, too.”
She kissed him again, sliding her tongue into his mouth. He groaned as their kiss deepened. She slid her hands under his shirt, lightly dragging her nails over his chest before pushing him onto his back. She rolled over on top of him as she continued to kiss him. She ran her fingers through his hair as her hips began to move in little circles on his.
“Josh,” she murmured. “Let me show you how sorry I am.”
He groaned as his hands went to her hips. “You don’t have to, my queen.”
She kissed down his neck, nipping at his mark. “I know I don’t but I want to.”
He cursed under his breath as her hands moved down both of their bodies, melting their clothes away. He rolled her over and lifted her leg as he slid into her, his cock already throbbing with need for her. He pulled out to thrust back inside of her.
“Fuck, Lucy, you always feel so good.”
He leaned down to kiss her as her hips lifted off the bed to meet his movements. Apollo growled and Hesha answered it before biting into his mark, making him buck into her harder and deeper. Her nails raked down his back as she shouted his name. He breathed fire over her mark as he filled her with his cum before kissing her again.
“Cheater,” he mumbled against her lips.
She giggled. “Am not.”
He pulled out of her slowly before lazily thrusting back into her once. “You were always a cheater. You know I can’t resist it when you remark me.”
She smiled as she curled up on his chest. “Let’s fight more often.”
He burst out laughing as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders. “Let’s not and say we did.”
“Never let me go?”
He kissed her forehead again. “I promise, baby.”
He started to hum and only stopped when she was sound asleep. He gently shifted her position so that he was spooning her from behind. He buried his face in her neck as he reached for Slonsky’s link.
‘We need to talk tomorrow.’
‘Is Lucy okay?’
‘Yes. It’s about Amerald.’
Slonsky remained quiet for a moment. 'Alright. Let me know when you are ready and I will come home.’
‘Will do.’
He yawned and curled more around her. He kissed her neck softly.
“Friday, baby. I promise.”
