Chapter 116 The War Disaster Brings

Chapter 116 The War Disaster Brings
The gravity of the situation settled over the team like a heavy shroud. They realized that their location, their plans, and their every move might have been exposed to the Beast. The anger that had initially been directed at Rick shifted to a collective frustration at the dire predicament they found themselves in.

"We can't get out of here now, and even if we do, we can't be fast. We have to find another solution." They all stare at her, confused.

"What do you mean? Carol? Do we wait here till they meet up with us? Both the police and the Beast mean war." Sergio lamented.

Carol grabbed a pen and a sheet of paper, her hand steady as she began to write a message. She was deliberate in her actions, ensuring that the message she wrote would mislead the Beast. She then folded the paper, concealing the real message, and held it up for the team to see.

"I'll say something different from what's written here," Carol explained. "We'll make the Beast believe that we're falling into his trap, but in reality, we'll be setting our own trap for him."

They all understood what she meant. They nodded in agreement.

"Claus, can you disable the tracking somehow?" She asked.

Claus nodded, his fingers flying over the phone's interface. "I can try to scramble their tracking signal temporarily, but it won't hold for long. But it should keep them away for a while; that is enough for us to change location.

"That will be in how many minutes?" Carol asked. "Like an hour," he answered.

"Good. We leave in an hour. Everybody get to work. Let's continue with our plan." They all stood still. Nobody moved. They understood the plan perfectly well.

"Claus, hasten up with that. Please disconnect the bug," she added. Claus did as instructed.

"Done!" He responded. They can now speak freely and go ahead to make another plan.

Rick, his face battered and bruised, was now completely subdued. He realized the gravity of his actions and how they had endangered not only Mia but the entire team. His foolish attempt to involve the police had put everyone's lives at risk.

"We can use this situation to our benefit," Carol suggested, her voice steady despite the tension in the room. "We have fed the Beast false information and will now set a trap for him."

The team members exchanged glances, contemplating Carol's proposal. They knew that they had to act quickly and decisively to outmaneuver the Beast and protect their mission.

With their plan in motion, the team members gathered in a huddle, their faces determined. They outlined their strategy, assigned positions, and prepared their weapons. It was clear that they were ready to confront the Beast head-on.

Rick, Mia, and the baby would be kept in a secure and hidden location, far from the impending confrontation. Their safety was of utmost importance, and the team members ensured they were well-hidden and protected.

The team members maintained their positions, hidden and ready for the Beast's arrival. The minutes ticked by as tension hung in the air, and they could only imagine the perilous situation unfolding outside.

Finally, the sound of approaching footsteps reached their ears, and they knew the moment had come. The Beast's men entered the building first, their faces filled with determination as they reported back to their leader.

"There's no sign of them here, boss," one of them said, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

The Beast, however, remained skeptical. He had overheard their conversation through the bug on El Patrio's phone before it was disconnected, and he knew that the team was nearby. He couldn't afford to underestimate them.

As the Beast's men combed through the building, they suddenly found themselves under a hail of gunfire from an unexpected direction. The team members, hidden expertly, had opened fire simultaneously, catching the Beast's men off guard.

The room erupted into chaos as the Beast's men fell one after the other, their shouts of surprise and pain filling the air. The team's precise and coordinated attack took the attackers by surprise, leaving them disoriented and vulnerable.

The Beast, realizing that his men were under attack, attempted to make a hasty retreat. But he didn't get far. Claus, with his keen aim and steady hand, fired a shot that struck the Beast's leg, sending him tumbling to the ground.

Pain and anger contorted the Beast's face as he writhed on the ground. He had underestimated the team's determination and their ability to turn the situation to their advantage.

Carol, emerging from her hiding spot, approached the wounded Beast with a sense of grim satisfaction. She stood over him, her voice cold and unwavering.

"It's over, Beast," she declared. "Your empire is crumbling, and justice will finally catch up with you."

The Beast, his pride wounded as much as his leg, could only glare at Carol in impotent rage. The tables had turned, and he was now the one at their mercy.

The team members quickly secured the area, ensuring that the Beast's men were incapacitated and unable to pose a threat. They were well-prepared for this moment, having set up their positions and weapons with meticulous planning.

With all of the Beast's men incapacitated, Claus took charge of the situation, dragging the wounded Beast back into the building. The team members knew they had to secure him to ensure he wouldn't escape and to send a clear message that they were in control now.

They placed a sturdy chair at the center of the room and bound the Beast's hands, legs, and body to it with strong restraints. To prevent any chance of escape, they further secured the chair to a pole in the room, leaving the Beast immobilized.

As the Beast glared at them with impotent rage, Carol took a tablet and set it up before him. She knew that they needed to make the Beast understand the gravity of his situation, and they had the perfect way to do it.

With a sense of grim satisfaction, Carol played the news on the tablet. The headlines were dominated by the shocking revelations about the Beast's criminal empire, his connections, and the corruption that had allowed him to thrive for so long.

The Beast watched in disbelief as his empire crumbled before his eyes. He saw his allies and partners exposed, his illicit operations laid bare for the world to see, and his carefully constructed façade of power shattered.

His face twisted with anger, frustration, and humiliation as he realized that he was now trending as a criminal mastermind brought to justice. The news coverage was relentless, and the public's outrage was palpable.

As the Beast watched his own downfall on the tablet's screen, the team members stood around him, their expressions resolute. They had achieved a significant victory, and they wanted the Beast to understand that he was no longer the one in control.

Carol leaned in closer to the immobilized Beast, her voice dripping with contempt. "You thought you were untouchable, but justice has caught up with you, Beast. Your reign of terror is over."

The Beast could only seethe in silence as he watched his empire crumble on the screen before him. He was now the captive audience, and there was no escape from the reality of his own downfall.
