Chapter 62
As soon as his lips touched mine, I felt a new force rise up inside me, an uncontrollable voracity. I immediately grabbed the hair on the back of his neck, taking awkward steps backward as he did the same forward, entering the house and kicking the door behind him to close it. His hands drew the outline of the sides of my body, making him let out a heavy breath of approval. We continued staggering into the house, our desperate kiss intensifying, until he bent down a little and grabbed the back of my thighs, pulling them around his waist. I grabbed his neck to keep from falling, and let him guide me to sit me down on an icy surface, which I soon recognized as the kitchen counter.
"You're not running away from me anymore," he murmured into my ear, biting my lobe as he pulled my hair a little too hard. My hands were gripping and ruffling his hair, and my breathing was almost shallow.
"I can't run away from you anymore," I whispered, with what little breath I had left, and he kissed me again, smiling, satisfied. At that point, with his hands instantly tingling on my skin as soon as they touched me, I couldn't even remember the meaning of the word pride anymore. I had gotten rid of that one a long time ago, I just hadn't been brave enough to admit it.
"You don't have to choose between the two of us. "Nicholas gasped, as he languidly kissed my neck. "Because you know you can have both."
"I couldn't choose," I spoke, my eyes half-open and my whole body shivering. "Something would always be missing.... As if one half wouldn't be enough without the other."
"As if one half wasn't enough without the other," he repeated, moving his face up until his eyes were at the level of mine, and he stared at me intensely before kissing me again.
I ran my hands down his neck, feeling my heart almost explode, and pulled up the collar of his shirt, demonstrating my desire to take it off. Immediately, Nicholas pulled up the back of her collar, parting our lips just to slip the shirt over her head, and when he returned, his hands slid up my thighs, brazenly bringing my shirt up and sending a new wave of goose bumps through me.
Our movements became much more aggressive as our body temperatures increased. Soon he was only in his boxers, getting rid of his pants, socks, and shoes with some help from me, and placing the condom, which was in his pocket, beside me to be used soon. Honestly, I didn't know how he could remember it at times like that, but I was infinitely grateful for it. Nicholas ripped off my panties so fiercely that he almost tore them, and I was not far behind when it was his turn for boxers.
I scratched his shoulders, arms and back incessantly, listening to him hold back his moans and squeeze my waist tightly, until I climaxed and he could finally stop holding back and reach his own. I hugged his neck, slightly dizzy, and distributed several kisses over the sweaty skin of that area, feeling truly full, as I hadn't felt for some time. The missing part of me was now there, and I felt complete again.
Nicholas was breathing deeply, with his head resting on my shoulder, and stroking my back slowly. A few minutes later, he gave me a soft kiss and pulled away, getting ready to leave. I stayed where I was, too shaky to move, and although I knew he couldn't stay, I felt that if I opened my mouth, that request would just slip through my lips.
After a few seconds of resigning myself to his departure, I stood up and slowly got dressed. As soon as I finished, I didn't have the courage to face him, but he left me no choice: he pulled me by the arm and turned me toward him, subtly lifting my face and staring at me with unreadable eyes. There was too much implied in those brown eyes for me to understand him.
He kissed me one last time, deeply and calmly, and headed for the door, without saying a word. Unlike me.
"Will you be back tomorrow?" I murmured, unable to contain my distress, and he, who was facing the door, turned toward me with a mysterious expression. He looked at me meaningfully, and gave an almost imperceptible smile before leaving. I didn't need words for a hopeful smile to open up on my face.
He would definitely come back.
