I gave her to him

I gave her to him
Ashley

“What did you just say?” I demanded, arms tightly crossed over my chest, mirroring the storm of rage that boiled inside me.

He didn’t flinch at my tone. But I felt the sharp edge of his glare, piercing, furious and unyielding.

“Don’t you ever hurt Ashlyn,” he said coldly, his voice like steel in winter. “If you do, you’ll have to go through me.”

I inhaled sharply. “How dare you threaten me!” I screamed, my voice cracking under the weight of my fury. “You? You dare to threaten me in my own—”

But I didn’t even get to finish the sentence. Faster than a blink, his hand flew to my throat and clamped down hard. My eyes squeezed shut at the pain and shock.

“Ugh… let me go!” I gasped, eyes wide, fingers clawing at his wrist. But his grip was iron, unrelenting, and full of hate. It was as if he poured every ounce of anger into that hold.

I had no idea how he even managed to get into my apartment. The last thing I remembered was opening the door and there he was. Sitting on my couch like he owned the place, smirking like the devil himself.

If only Adrian were here. If only he weren’t out of the country for that medical conference… he’d lose his mind if he saw this man laying a single hand on me. Adrian may be a doctor, a man of science, but when it comes to me, he’s all fury, all fire.

He loves me. Too much, maybe. He can’t stand the thought of another man touching me. With Marco… he let that one pass, because he knew it was the only way to keep me close. He knew I’d still crawl back to his arms, beg him for help. But another man? No. He’d never tolerate that.

And now this one… just waltzes in, owns the space with nothing but sheer audacity? No warning. No permission. I was always the one who came to him and not the other way around.

I had tried to keep my composure when I sat across from him earlier. But I nearly recoiled when he suddenly slid next to me, the air tightening between us as we started talking about my twin.

“Don’t you dare speak Ashlyn’s name unless you’re ready to change,” he growled, low and threatening. “Because if you even think of hurting her again, I’ll come for you first.”

I blinked, stunned. He was serious.

“If you're planning anything, anything that could harm her, you better think twice,” he continued, his voice dripping with venom. “Because if you go through with it… I’ll take you down with Marco. I’ll bury you both, alive.”

Suddenly, he released me and slumped back against the sofa, breathing hard as if he had just unloaded a bomb in the room. The fire in his eyes hadn’t faded, but now, there was pain too. A quiet ache hiding behind the rage.

Ashlyn. Ashlyn. Ashlyn.

What is it about that girl that drives him this insane?

I bit my lip hard. Was it fear I was feeling? Or frustration? Or jealousy?

“Well then,” I said through clenched teeth, trying to match his intensity. “Keep her away from Marco… and our child!”

He drew in a sharp breath. A bitter smile pulled at his lips but he said nothing.

“If you really want her to be yours, then do something!” I spat. “If you really love her, then fight for her. Do everything in your power to keep them apart! Because right now, I’m the only one who’s trying!”

He stood. Slowly. Just one step separated us now, yet it felt like he was still strangling me without even laying a hand.

“Wasn’t it enough,” he said, voice shaking with fury and heartbreak, “that I cleared your path… and made sure the people who could expose you disappeared?”

I swallowed hard.

“And you?” he snapped. “What have you done? You let them find out the truth.”

His voice trembled not just with anger, but devastation.

And when I looked into his eyes, I saw it, pure hatred, yes, but also something deeper. Something raw. The kind of grief that only comes when love turns to war.

He wasn’t going to stop.

Not for me.

Not even for himself.

But for her.

For the woman he loved beyond reason.

“Since I can’t have the one I love…” he leaned closer as he sat back, voice low and venom-laced. “You know the drill. Give me head.”

Our eyes locked, two fires crashing into each other. Mine burned with fury, restraint, and a love that had been forced into silence. His eyes were ablaze too, but mixed with lust, bitterness, and a twisted hunger like he was blaming me for everything he couldn’t possess.

“Why are you still sitting there?” he asked coolly, a mocking smirk curling at the edge of his lips. “Need me to spell it out for you?”

I clenched my fists. My jaw tightened as I bit the inside of my cheek, fighting the scream that threatened to claw its way out. I took a deep breath, trying to ground myself. But my rage, raw and long suppressed, burst from my throat like wildfire.

“And why the hell should I pleasure you the way you want?” I hissed, trembling with rage. “You chase after Ashlyn like a goddamn obsessed lunatic, and I’m supposed to just... what? Serve you? Like I owe you something?”

His laugh was cold, mocking an insult wrapped in amusement.

“You’ve got some nerve,” I said, eyes narrowing with disdain. “Shouting your undying love for my twin on my face…” my voice dropped into something darker, more vicious. “…but you're using my body over and over again to please yourself!"

My chest rose and fell with ragged breath. I wanted to slap that smug grin off his face.

He tilted his head, eyes gleaming with poison.

“Oh please,” he said with a sneer. “Let’s not pretend. Adrian’s probably already torn you apart every time you sneak off to meet him.”

He leaned forward, lips brushing my ear with calculated cruelty.

“And FYI…” he whispered, “I’m hotter. Fitter. Better than him. You know it. That’s why you’re still here.”

His devilish grin was a weapon, and he wielded it to cut deep.

Yes, Adrian was a doctor. A man of honor, reason. But this one? This man standing before me, he was a predator. Dangerous. Possessive. Twisted.

“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about!” I shouted, desperate. My voice cracked from the weight of fear and shame. That was all I had left, denial. The only thing I could use to protect myself... and Adrian. Especially Adrian. His wife could never know.

But he only laughed again, deeper this time, with arrogance and absolute control.

“Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.” He shook his head, full of smug certainty. “You think I’m stupid? That I haven’t figured it out? I know everything.”

My world crumbled in that instant. It was as if he’d reached into my chest and crushed my lungs. My knees weakened. My lips trembled.

“H-How…?”

“There’s nothing you can hide from me, Ashley,” he said with a dark smile. “Nothing.”

He took a step forward, letting his eyes trail down my body like I was nothing more than a doll, a shell.

“Your face… your body… that’s all I need from you. If you didn’t look like your twin, I wouldn’t even waste a second on you.”

He let that sink in before delivering the final blow.

“When I fuck you, I imagine you’re her. Ashlyn. Every sound you make, every move, God, you copy her so well it’s terrifying. You make it so easy for me to pretend.”

His words sliced deeper than any blade.

So that was it. I was nothing but a shadow. A substitute. A warm body, he used to fantasize about someone else.

He didn’t want me, never had.

All he wanted… was her.

And maybe it was time I gave her to him.

Let them destroy each other, if that’s what he really wanted.
