Chapter 70 Kissing My Love Rival

Chapter 70 Kissing My Love Rival
"What happened? What happened to you?" I asked, sensing the intense fear radiating from within him.

Since I first met him, I'd known him as a strong, cool, and dedicated man. Someone far from fear. But the more I got to know him, the more I realized he was just a child trapped in a grown man's body.

"Take me with you! Please! Take me with you!" He repeated the words, making me even more worried about him. Did this have something to do with Henry? Was he the source of Jake's current fear?

"You have a fever! You need to rest! I've made some porridge, so you should eat it!" I said, picking up the bowl of rice porridge I'd placed on the table three minutes earlier.

I tried to pry him away, but Jake seemed reluctant to let go. This left me confused, unsure of what to do to calm him down.

I could feel his high body temperature against his skin, he clearly had a fever, and I was starting to think it was causing him to hallucinate.

"I don't want to be here! Please, take me away!" Jake pleaded again, and this time I chose to remain silent and let him hold me.

His body trembled, as if he were holding back fear and trauma. I recognized this because I had experienced such terrible trauma before.

"Go to sleep, Jake? I won't leave you. Don't worry, okay? You need to rest!" I said, forcing him to lie back down and rest.

Jake complied, lying back down on the sofa, but his hand was still tightly gripping mine.

"You're not leaving, right?" He asked me with an innocent look. His face looked so sweet, it reminded me of the puppy I used to keep. I couldn't believe my division chief, who was always cold, arrogant, and a perfectionist, could act so cute.

"This is my house, Jake! How could I leave? I'm going to take a quick shower, you go get some rest!"

"Did you tell Henry I'm here?"

"No! I haven't told him yet. Should I tell him?" I asked hesitantly, though I wasn't sure I needed to tell Henry about this.

"No! That's unnecessary!"

"Are you sure?"

"If you tell him, he'll probably torture me even more," he said. His words brought back memories of Jake's confession about what he and Henry had done.

"Is that so? It seems like you two love each other."

"Does it seem like he has that kind of love for me?"

"I don't know, I just think it's best if I don't have anything to do with him or you anymore. I feel like I'm being played. Henry doesn't love me, he doesn't feel the way I thought he did. How can that even be love? I feel like a fool enjoying the joke you two are playing. Don't I look like a funny clown to you, Jake?" My voice trembled. I felt pain not just because I was being played, but because I was starting to realize my true feelings.

"I want you to leave him, but I don't want you to leave me too!"

"What?"

"I've always admired Henry. I worshipped him like a king I had to bow down to. I loved him and considered every command he made to me an inviolable command."

"You've truly gone mad, Jake! Do you truly love him romantically, or are your feelings just excessive adoration?"

"I don't know. I don't want to know about my feelings, because to me, his feelings are the most important thing."

"So what about my feelings? Do you think they're unimportant?" I was getting increasingly emotional. His complicated behavior and unpredictable train of thought were frustrating me.

I felt like if this conversation continued, I would cry. I got up and headed to my bedroom, stripped off my clothes, and went into the bathroom to calm myself. But just as the water was just soaking my body, the sound of the bathroom door opening startled me. I immediately turned around only to see Jake, already naked, standing in front of the door, giving me a sad look that broke my heart.

"Jake? What are you doing?"

"You promised you wouldn't leave me, didn't you?"

"I'm just taking a shower, Jake!"

"Then, I'll take a shower too!"

"But you have a fever, Jake! You should—"

"I'm fine!" He said, stepping closer to me and slowly making me step back until my back hit the wall.

"Jake, you—" Before I could finish my sentence, Jake immediately covered my mouth with a kiss. His hands reached for my body and pulled me into his warm embrace.

I couldn't refuse him, never could. I felt myself wanting him more and more, his body and his soul.

"I'm fine, so stay with me!" He said in a deep, heavy voice. Our eyes met, staring intently into each other's. His lips began to kiss my neck, stirring my passion.

"We love the same person, right?" I said, trying to convince myself once again that the man kissing me was my love rival.

"Maybe," he replied curtly. He didn't seem to really want to answer my question.

I stood on my tiptoes and wrapped my arms around his shoulders as Jake attacked me with another kiss.

I kissed him back, our tongues dancing in our mouths. His hands squeezed my buttocks, making me subconsciously spread my legs as a sign of acceptance.

"Jake, I think I'm falling in love with you." The confession slipped out of my mouth. Jake paused for a moment, staring at me as if he couldn't believe what I'd just said. But I couldn't lie to myself that I felt much safer when I was with him.

Jake remained silent and said nothing. He continued his assault, forcing me to turn my back so he could embrace me from behind.

His left hand squeezed my breast, while his right played with my pussy. His lips nibbled on the skin from my neck to my shoulder.

"Oh yes..." I moaned as the stimulation intensified, bringing the urge to climax to my pussy.

"How can you say you love me? You must be crazy, Amy!"
