Chapter 504: Make This Form of Address Official

Chapter 504: Make This Form of Address Official

Far away in Harmony City, Olivia knew nothing about all this.

After returning home, she still couldn't remember anything, but she felt relaxed and carefree every day.

Because of her physical condition, the research institute didn't need her to come back to work.

When she was bored at home, she would read old medical books, and when she got tired of reading, she would chat with Bianca.

She discovered that Bianca could actually paint and had even won awards.

She was also very skilled at musical instruments. Olivia was thrilled and spent every day either painting with Bianca or listening to her play the violin.

Evelyn finally finished her work and had time to visit her.

She learned about Olivia's situation quite late.

She had been with Benjamin the whole time, helping prepare Lilly's funeral, and didn't know what had happened to Olivia.

Plus, Andrew hadn't leaked any information and kept it hidden. By the time Evelyn found out, Olivia had already been resting at home for several days.

When Evelyn came over, her eyes were red, and she gave everyone in the Johnson family a thorough scolding.

After scolding them, she hugged Olivia with heartache and said, "Thank goodness you're okay. I was so worried. Olivia, don't be scared. Forgetting things isn't a big deal. We'll all be here with you, and you'll remember slowly."

Of course, Olivia had forgotten Evelyn too, but being with her didn't feel strange or uncomfortable.

From the chat records on her phone, she also learned how close she and Evelyn were.

Seeing Evelyn's red eyes comforting her, Olivia nodded and said, "I'm not scared anymore. With Mom and Dad here, and Bianca and my husband, and now you all, I'm sure I'll recover my memory soon!"

Evelyn blinked, completely confused. "Wait, what husband?"

Olivia pointed at Andrew not far away, "Him!"

Evelyn's lips twitched.

What had happened in the few days she was away?

How had these two progressed so fast? How did Andrew become Olivia's husband?

Hearing her call him that, Andrew's expression showed no surprise, but his eyes seemed to deepen, stirring something unspoken.

Olivia always felt as if Andrew wanted to devour her with his gaze.

When Olivia went to wash her hands, Evelyn couldn't help but question Andrew.

"Mr. Hamilton, did you take advantage of Olivia forgetting everything and trick her somehow?"

She wouldn't allow anyone to bully Olivia.

Not even taking advantage was acceptable.

There should be a proper proposal and wedding—no steps should be skipped!

How could he skip so much and go straight to being called husband?

Andrew calmly replied, "This has nothing to do with me. It was Mr. McCoy's arrangement."

Evelyn looked confused, "Mr. McCoy? Olivia's teacher?"

At this point, Victoria also helped explain, telling her what Rodolfo had said that day.

After hearing this, Evelyn didn't know what to say.

Benjamin joked with a smile, "When Bianca couldn't remember things, she called you daddy. Now Olivia has lost her memory and treats you as her husband. Andrew, what kind of blessed life is this?"

Andrew raised an eyebrow and, for once, didn't deny it.

Although both Olivia and Bianca had called him these things by mistake, they were both people he cared about.

Seeing him like this, Evelyn found it amusing too.

Evelyn couldn't help but ask curiously, "So when is Mr. Hamilton going to make this title official? After all, only with a marriage certificate is it legitimate, right?"

Andrew paused, seeming to think about something, and didn't respond to her question right away.

Benjamin said thoughtfully, "Marriage, huh."

He and Andrew had grown up together and talked about everything, but they had never thought about what marriage would be like.

No, Benjamin had thought about his own, but never about Andrew's wedding.

More precisely, he had always felt that with Andrew's personality, he would definitely stay single his whole life.

Although many women in Harmony City chased after him.

But he was too cold by nature and had stayed away from women all these years.

And now, he had actually reached this point.

Vaughn and Victoria, hearing this, also became a bit curious.

Bianca was even more expectant, asking, "Are Daddy and Mommy getting married? Does that mean we can all be together as a family from now on?"

Andrew chuckled softly, patted her on the head, and said, "Not yet, sweetie. At least we have to wait until Mommy's memory is fully restored before we can decide. Tricking her a bit while she's confused can be considered a harmless joke or playful teasing between a couple. But marriage is a big deal. I must propose when she's fully aware. And although our relationship is stable, after what happened with the Johnson family, I'm not sure if Olivia might be resistant to marriage."

These were all things he needed to discuss with her personally before deciding.

Evelyn agreed, "The Johnson family people still pop up from time to time to disgust us. Maybe Olivia has some psychological shadow about it."

Vaughn and Victoria, hearing Andrew's words, felt very comforted.

They had indeed not misjudged Andrew.

He was so much better than that scumbag Michael, good in every way, always considering Olivia's feelings first in everything.

They could feel his respect for Olivia.

Vaughn also nodded seriously, "Marriage indeed needs to be considered carefully."

As they were talking, Olivia came back, and the topic of marriage ended there.

Everyone turned to discussing the funeral.

Andrew asked Benjamin, "I was too busy the past few days to ask. How are your arrangements going?"

Bringing up anything related to Lilly, Benjamin's mood was already quite calm. He said, "Everything's ready, and the date is set—the day after tomorrow. This time, I want to give my mom a proper burial."

Andrew nodded, "As it should be. As long as you've decided, I'll attend. Has the White family been giving you trouble these days?"

"Not really." Benjamin shook his head, "They're in chaos over there. No one has time to bother me."

Alphonse had initially contacted him.

But because they couldn't reach an agreement, and Benjamin blocked him, knowing it was useless to contact him, he simply stopped trying.

After Lyndon was arrested, the White Group now lacked even a leader.

The retired Alphonse had to step up personally and temporarily take over management.

He had the will but not the strength.

At his age, the burden was too much.

Even he knew he couldn't hold power forever, and finding a new heir was a matter of time.

Besides Lyndon, Alphonse had another son and a daughter.

These two had always been shareholders of the White Group.

But Benjamin's uncle had no business acumen at all.

His aunt had married out years ago, and even if Alphonse was willing, the other shareholders of the White Group would never agree to let her take power and inherit.

Otherwise, the White Group would eventually belong to another family.

As for the great-grandchildren, Nick's child was still an infant, far from being able to inherit anything.

So the White family was still a complete mess.

Andrew knew this too, so he wasn't worried about Benjamin not being able to handle it.

He also reminded him, "Wait until after the funeral to make any plans."

"Okay." Benjamin was thinking the same thing.

He and Evelyn stayed at Olivia's house all afternoon. After confirming that Olivia had no other physical problems, they left.

Two days later, Lilly's funeral began.

A funeral wasn't exactly a happy occasion. Benjamin didn't make it particularly grand, but it was solemn.

Everyone could feel his emotion about clearing Lilly's name.

There weren't many guests—besides Benjamin, there was Andrew's family and some close friends.

Olivia got up early and changed into proper clothes with Vaughn, Victoria, and Bianca.

The whole family wore black to show respect for the deceased.

Although Olivia still couldn't remember the past, she did everything properly for attending the funeral, including her attire.

After Andrew drove over to pick them up, they all headed straight to the funeral.

Bianca obediently followed Andrew and Olivia, participating in the farewell ceremony together.

As a family member, Benjamin bowed solemnly to thank every guest who came to mourn.

Evelyn stood beside him.

Patrick and Jessica also came to this occasion.

Seeing where Evelyn was standing, they curiously asked Andrew, "Are Evelyn and Benjamin together?"

After all, as elders, they knew Evelyn was standing in the hostess position, so it wasn't strange for them to ask.

Andrew shook his head, "Not sure. Maybe there are signs of it."

Although he hadn't heard anything from them directly, Andrew judged by his own intuition that these two definitely weren't just ordinary friends.

But since they didn't say anything themselves, he wouldn't expose it either.

Matters of the heart were better discovered by the people involved.

The Hamilton family members were somewhat surprised to hear this, but more than that, they were happy.

"If they really got together, that would be great. Evelyn and Benjamin are both good kids."

"Yes, Benjamin is handsome and capable, and Evelyn is beautiful and kind-hearted. These two standing together are pleasing to the eye and well-matched! I support them being together!"

Anna was the first to voice her support.

Jessica smiled but didn't disagree with Anna's words.

Instead, she sighed, "Benjamin had such a hard life before. His days ahead should be sweet, shouldn't they?"
