Chapter 345 You Deserve to Be Dumped
Andrew was really pleased to see her agree so readily.
Olivia was great in every way, except when it came to emotions - she was completely clueless.
But this actually pleased him.
He let go of her and took her hand, saying, "I'll walk you down."
"Okay." Olivia nodded and interlaced her fingers with his. Just as they were about to leave, her phone buzzed with a new message.
Olivia glanced at it and saw it was from Daniel.
Daniel: [I sent them back first. Are you done? I'm waiting for you downstairs.]
After reading it, Olivia immediately replied: [Coming right away!]
Then she went downstairs with Andrew.
As soon as they stepped out of the hotel, they saw Daniel standing by his car waiting.
Sensing someone coming out, Daniel looked up, but his gaze froze mid-air, and his eyes darkened a bit.
He hadn't expected Andrew to walk Olivia down.
Daniel's lips pressed into a thin line as he watched the two approaching side by side, hand in hand, looking so close.
Olivia seemed completely dependent on him, her eyes full of the person beside her.
This scene felt like a blow to Daniel.
He felt his heart being squeezed by an invisible hand. As his breathing slowed, his whole presence suddenly dimmed.
But Olivia didn't seem to notice. She walked up to him and said, "Andrew arranged a car for me, so you don't need to drive me. You can go back and rest. Thanks for your help today."
Daniel lowered his eyes, feeling bitter and frustrated inside, like being gnawed by ten thousand ants. For a moment, he had the urge to ask Olivia.
No matter what he did, would he only ever get a "thank you" from her?
But the words stuck in his throat, unable to come out.
Andrew caught every subtle change in his expression.
He didn't show it though, and spoke casually as if nothing was wrong, "Mr. Wilson, I didn't get a chance to thank you tonight. Thank you for saving Anna.
I heard about your remarkable character back in Emerald City, and Olivia has mentioned you often. She said you've helped her a lot. I haven't had the chance before, but I'd love to have a good chat with you sometime if you're free."
Hearing this, Daniel looked at him calmly.
Both were men of high status, and in looks and bearing, each had their own strengths.
Andrew had a refined elegance, while Daniel had a casual, roguish charm.
Standing face to face, their presence was equally matched.
As rivals, they should have been at odds, but Andrew's composure and grace made it impossible to dislike him.
After several seconds, Daniel also pushed down his emotions and extended his hand, saying, "Olivia often mentions you too. Nice to meet you."
This was a friendly signal.
Andrew smiled and shook his hand generously, saying, "Likewise."
As they looked at each other, there was a subtle tension in their eyes that only they understood, but it wasn't hostility. Someone as oblivious as Olivia didn't notice at all.
On the contrary, seeing them being friendly with each other made her happy.
To her, Daniel was a good friend and an excellent partner.
Andrew was the person she liked.
Naturally, she was glad to see these two getting along peacefully.
After the brief greeting, they both withdrew their hands.
Daniel looked at Olivia, acting calm, "Since Mr. Hamilton is taking you, I'll head back. I have other business to handle, so I'll be staying in Harmony City for a while.
I'll keep an eye on things at the research institute, so you can focus on your work without worry."
Olivia naturally trusted Daniel. She nodded, "Okay, drive safe."
"Yeah." Daniel responded, then nodded at Andrew before turning to get in his car.
The black Maybach soon disappeared into the night, vanishing at the end of the road.
In the car, Eric carefully glanced at the person in the rearview mirror.
There was a sense of defeat in Daniel's expression that he'd never seen before.
The low mood made Eric feel a bit sorry for him.
Perhaps Eric's gaze was too obvious, as Daniel finally noticed.
He looked at Eric in the rearview mirror, having already hidden his disappointment and replaced it with a look of disdain, asking, "What are you looking at? Just drive!"
Eric thought helplessly, 'No wonder you're dumped! You can't say a single nice thing - how would Dr. Garcia ever like you?'
Eric felt frustrated with him.
At the hotel entrance, after seeing Daniel off, Andrew also helped Olivia into the car.
After fastening her seatbelt, he said gently, "Send me a message when you get home."
"Okay." Olivia nodded and waved at him, "You should go back up. Don't keep your guests waiting."
Andrew didn't want to let her go, but he held back his reluctance.
He closed the car door and watched the car slowly start and drive away before turning back to the banquet hall.
His entrance naturally drew everyone's attention, and the banquet hall seemed to quiet down.
Anna also noticed Andrew's appearance and immediately waved at him.
Beside her were Aurelia and Benjamin.
In the past, Aurelia, like others in their circle, looked down on Benjamin.
But now, with Andrew's support, Benjamin was gradually making his mark in business and establishing himself in the White family.
Not only that, Andrew seemed to genuinely regard him as a good friend and valued him highly.
Aurelia felt she hadn't realized this too late. After becoming aware of these changes, she had tried several times tonight to chat with Benjamin.
But to her surprise, Benjamin had been indifferent to her the whole time, which really annoyed her.
And then there was Anna.
When they came back from the airport earlier, they'd been chatting nicely.
But after going out for a bit, she came back like a different person, no longer as warm.
Instead, she went over to Benjamin on her own, whispering something to him.
And Aurelia couldn't get a word in.
She just couldn't understand why they liked this White family outcast so much!
Benjamin naturally didn't care about her feelings.
Right now, he was egging Anna on, "Hurry up and send me a couple of those photos you took. How can you keep this money-making opportunity all to yourself?"
Anna was generous and immediately pulled out her phone, "Sure, I'll send you two! I took really good ones!"
She didn't forget to brag about her photography skills.
After receiving them, Benjamin looked quite satisfied.
After finishing their scheming, they saw Andrew's figure, and Anna called him over.
Although everyone present was from wealthy families, Andrew still stood out, looking almost untouchable.
He walked over to them casually and asked with his eyes, "What's up?"
"Yes! Of course!"
Both Benjamin and Anna had big grins on their faces. They each grabbed one of his arms and pulled him aside.
Then they pulled out their phones and said, "Andrew, want to buy some photos?"
Anna chimed in, tapping her head, "Pay whatever you want. We won't ask for too much - we mainly want to see how much you love Olivia."
Andrew glanced at the photos and was quite indulgent with them.
He knew these two weren't short on money - selling photos was just for fun.
Of course he'd play along.
So he said readily, "Send them to me. Go find David later for a check - write whatever amount you want."
Benjamin looked smug, lifting his chin to tell Anna, "See? I told you, listen to me - getting rich overnight isn't just a dream, right?"
"Yeah yeah!" Anna nodded eagerly, "You're so smart..."
Aurelia watched the three of them from a distance, feeling left out and neglected.
This wasn't the result she wanted!
She bit her lip and forced herself to join them, asking with fake curiosity, "What are you all talking about?"
Hearing her voice, Benjamin's playful expression immediately fell.
He could clearly see Aurelia's attitude toward him.
And for people like her, he used to at least pretend.
Now, he wouldn't even bother being nice.
Anna, however, remained polite and replied courteously, "Nothing much. Benjamin and I were just talking about making money. He's sharing his experience with me."
Hearing this, a flash of disdain crossed Aurelia's eyes.
Benjamin still needed Andrew's help - what good ideas could he have?
Only a kid like Anna would think highly of him.
But Aurelia didn't dare show this contempt.
She quickly hid it and smiled, "Anna, you can discuss it with me too. I usually help manage Kingsley Group's affairs, so I have some business insights too."
Anna was about to say okay when Benjamin's voice pulled her attention away, "Evelyn? You're here too? I didn't see you earlier!"
His greeting was quite loud.
Anna looked over curiously and saw a strikingly beautiful girl walking over arm-in-arm with another elegant, cool-looking woman.
They were Evelyn and Jade.
Seeing someone she knew, Evelyn smiled back, "Mr. Hamilton invited me! I've been with Jade the whole time."
Then, smiling at Andrew, she said, "Mr. Hamilton, thank you for paving the way and introducing me to people!"
Tonight, those invited by the Hamilton family were undoubtedly the top tier of Harmony City's elite.
If it were anyone else, Andrew definitely wouldn't bother.
But Evelyn was Olivia's best friend and helped Olivia a lot.
So Andrew nodded at her warmly and replied, "It's nothing."
This comment almost made Aurelia lose her composure.
Of course, she recognized this person too.
Olivia's good friend!
Andrew could even be nice to Evelyn, but toward Aurelia, there was only coldness and distance.
