Chapter 151 Something Happier Than This Is Seeing Him

Chapter 152 Throwing Oneself into Someone's Arms

Olivia looked over at the sound and was startled to see that tall figure.

The man stood there by the roadside, next to a black Rolls-Royce. The sleek lines of the car showed luxury and elegance, yet they couldn't match the charm he naturally gave off.

Dressed in a pure black suit and coat, with that incredibly handsome face and gold-rimmed glasses, he looked refined and reserved, like a noble gentleman stepping out of a castle.

Olivia was momentarily dazed.

Running into Andrew here was quite unexpected.

But what surprised her even more was... what did he just call her?

Olivia?

She couldn't have heard wrong, could she?

That low, drawn-out tone still seemed to be echoing in her ears, making the area behind her ears tingle.

This was the first time he'd called her by her name since they'd known each other.

For some reason, her heart skipped a couple of beats, and she felt even more excited than when she'd received news about the compensation.

Olivia's beautiful eyes sparkled, unable to hide her delight as she walked toward him. "Mr. Hamilton, you're also heading back to Emerald City today? What a coincidence!"

Andrew replied naturally, "Timing-wise, it is quite a coincidence."

While he knew she was returning today, he wasn't clear on the exact timeline.

They had just gotten off the plane not long ago themselves.

He'd just taken a glance at the exit before leaving, and surprisingly, he actually spotted that familiar figure.

By now, Olivia had reached him.

He smoothly asked, "Have you called a car? If not, I can give you a ride."

Olivia didn't stand on ceremony. "Sure!"

She hadn't gotten around to calling one anyway, and on such a cold night, she didn't want to wait too long.

Andrew nodded, signaling to the bodyguard nearby to help load her luggage into the car.

The bodyguard did as told.

The two soon got into the back seat, one after the other.

Once inside, Olivia realized that besides David in the front seat, Benjamin was there too.

Benjamin was clicking his tongue, his tone full of teasing. "Well, well..."

Though surprised, Olivia cheerfully greeted these familiar faces. "David, hello. Mr. White, hello... Mr. White, why are you back in Emerald City so early? Doesn't school start in a while?"

Benjamin replied with a smile, "That's true, but there wasn't much fun in Harmony City, so I decided to come back early with Andrew!"

"I see."

As Olivia responded, she removed the scarf from her neck and casually asked, "So Mr. Hamilton came back early because you got another assignment?"

"Not really, he said the air in Harmony City..."

Benjamin was about to answer when Andrew cut in first. "I had some work that wasn't urgent that I'd put aside before, so I came back early to handle it."

Benjamin, "..."

David, "..."

Do you even believe that yourself?

Someone who never liked to procrastinate, who was thorough and meticulous in everything—how could he possibly leave work from before the New Year until now?

However, they couldn't call him out on it, even though it was killing them to hold it in.

Andrew seemed to sense their expressions and coolly looked up, casually glancing at the rearview mirror.

Those deep eyes looked calm enough.

But somehow, they still conveyed a strong sense of threat.

The two men shrank back and behaved themselves, deciding their lives were more important.

Olivia didn't notice the undercurrents and just sighed. "You work so hard, barely getting any rest even during the holidays."

As she spoke, she suddenly frowned.

Taking off the scarf wasn't going smoothly.

She'd wrapped it carelessly when getting off the plane, and now it seemed caught on something—she just couldn't pull it off.

Andrew had just finished answering "It's okay" when he noticed her struggle and casually asked, "Need help?"

Olivia didn't refuse and instinctively leaned toward him. "Yes, please. Can you see what it's caught on? It's behind me..."

With this move, the distance between them suddenly closed considerably.

At first glance, it almost looked like she was throwing herself into his arms, her head nearly resting on his shoulder.

Andrew was clearly taken aback for a moment.

Two seconds later, his eyes flickered as he sat up straight. "Okay."

Then he leaned forward slightly to see what was going on behind her.

However, Olivia's hair was too long, completely covering her back, making it impossible to see what was wrong.

Andrew had to ask, "Do you mind if I move your hair aside?"

"Ah... I don't mind!"

After Olivia responded, she also raised her hand, planning to move her hair herself.

But Andrew had just raised his hand too, and their palms met in mid-air with a light smack.

Olivia froze and instinctively apologized. "Sorry, did I hit you?"

Andrew replied warmly, "No, it wasn't hard... I'll do it."

Olivia had no objection.

Her head was slightly lowered now, and to avoid blindly hitting him again, she didn't dare make any more moves.

Andrew soon moved her hair to the side and could see what was wrong.

"The scarf is caught on a button on the back of your jacket!"

Olivia had a sudden realization. "No wonder I couldn't pull it off."

"Yeah, I'll help you undo it."

Andrew said in a low voice, moving his arm down to her back and starting to work on the button.

The yarn was caught pretty tight, and because of the position, he could only use one hand.

This made progress somewhat slow.

Olivia hadn't yet realized anything odd about the situation and instinctively asked, "Can you reach it? Do I need to lean down more?"

Before Andrew could answer, the person in front of him pressed her waist down, and immediately he felt something against his chest.

The man's eyes darkened as he looked down at the person now completely leaning into his embrace.

This time... she really was throwing herself into his arms!

Olivia belatedly realized what was happening, her body stiffening and her mind going blank.

Oh no, what was she thinking just now???

Since it was her back, couldn't she have just turned around? Why did she lean in like this?

How should she explain this now?

Andrew... wouldn't think she was trying to take advantage of him, would he?

Olivia panicked and quickly tried to pull back.

But then a warm palm pressed against her lower back. "Don't move, almost done."

The man's tone sounded calm and steady, showing no embarrassment or discomfort from the sudden contact.

Olivia felt tortured but could only stay frozen in place.

Fortunately, this time Andrew worked much faster, and soon he freed the scarf from the button.

"Done."

He said casually and subtly pulled back.

Olivia also returned to her original position, her tone slightly embarrassed. "Thank you..."

"No problem."

Andrew's expression was calm, as if nothing had happened.

David and Benjamin in the front seat had fallen into an odd silence.

They had witnessed everything that just happened in the back seat.

As observers, their most immediate feeling about that scene was that they should disappear.

Just now, the sudden ambiguous atmosphere between Olivia and Andrew was perfectly timed.

And their reactions during those unintentional touches... even made the two outsiders' hearts race a bit.

Beyond that, they were mostly shocked.

If this had been before, if any woman had dared to get this close to Andrew, she would have been thrown out of the car ages ago, okay?

Even his own sister wouldn't get this treatment.

And he still said he didn't feel anything special for her!!

He's clearly fallen for her and just doesn't know it yet, right???

Perhaps their gazes were too intense—Andrew noticed and looked up coolly.

Through the rearview mirror, he saw Benjamin's teasing look and his suggestive expressions.

He looked away with disgust, turning to the night scenery outside the window.

Olivia was also looking at the scenery outside, unable to calm down for quite a while.

Her mind was full of that accidental moment of throwing herself into his arms.

It was just... so embarrassing no matter how she thought about it!

Good thing Andrew was nice and didn't make a big deal of it or think she was being inappropriate.

Otherwise, she wouldn't know how to face him.

Lost in her chaotic thoughts, the car arrived at her apartment complex.

Olivia snapped back to reality, got out of the car, and said goodbye to the three men.

Before leaving, she also gave them the local specialties she'd brought back.

David was a bit surprised. "I get some too?"

Olivia smiled. "Of course. David helped a lot during that time last year, so naturally you get some... And Mr. White, I was planning to bring these to you after school started, but since you're here, might as well take them now."

At this point, she seemed to remember some unpleasant memory and quickly added, "They're nothing expensive, just food. I hope you won't mind."

Before the divorce, Michael never touched these things.

At first, she thought he wasn't used to them, but later realized he looked down on cheap stuff.

Andrew and Benjamin in front of her were no less important than Michael, so she worried they might not like them either.

However, her worry didn't come true.

Because Benjamin immediately opened the packaging box eagerly, saying, "Mind? I love eating these! I didn't have dinner and I'm starving. Let me try some first."

He picked up a small pastry and put it in his mouth.

It melted in his mouth, sweet but not cloying, and especially fragrant.

"Delicious! Not bad at all. This would go perfectly with coffee. Andrew, want to try some?"

Andrew didn't hesitate much and elegantly tried a small piece. Then, under Olivia's direct gaze, he gave his assessment. "Really good, tastes great."

Under the streetlight, a delighted smile bloomed on Olivia's beautiful face. "I'm glad you like them. I'll head up now?"

"Okay, message me when you get inside."

Andrew said gently.

Olivia nodded, waved at him, and dragged her luggage into the complex.

When she got home, she immediately messaged Andrew: "I'm here."

Downstairs, Andrew saw it and then told David, "Let's go, head back."

David nodded and immediately started the car.
