Chapter 30 Visiting the wise one
Chapter 30 Visiting the wise one
“ I want to sneak out of the pack!”
He raised his head up slightly, stunned. “ You want to sneak out of the pack? For what?”
“ That doesn't matter now, please, It's for the safety of the Lycan race and the duty assigned to me by the Lycan king.” I muttered silently.
He tipped the corner of his lips up and nodded sideways. “Coder, you're asking for a very dangerous request! What if you're caught? You'll be dead, you know?”
I blinked my brows and nodded. “Yes, I know. I'll be dead. But I still need your help. I don't mind losing my life.”
He frowned at me, and coughed. “ Do you know I'm almost paralyzed to save your life?”
I held his hands, breathing in. “ That's the point. You risk your life saving me, I should also do the same to save my children and loved ones.”
Silence stretched like days, the room becoming so tense.
“Coder, if you're planning to visit the wrestling ring again, then I'm sorry that's your dumbest decision
n ever.” He warned and I nodded in agreement.
“ Nope! No close! I wanted to see one of Amara's loyal friends at the city end.”
His eyes bulged. “ That's about 6 hours of journey.”
I nodded and corrected. “5 hours, 35 minutes.”
He hummed in a deep breath and said. “ Hope you know what you're doing?”
“ Yes, of course!” I hurried to say and he nodded slightly.
“ Are you sure about this?” Amara asked, looking at me.
It was a scary task but I knew I had to do it for my family and friends. I was literally tired of staying in a place where I would constantly be reminded of how stupid I was in my past. Well, staying here was way better than being with someone who I had hoped to spend the rest of my life with.
“Yes, I'm sure about it, Amara. I must go and find a way to stop that short motherfucker.”
Amara's eyes mirrored the confidence I wore. I smiled back at her and stared down at the phone location in her hand.
“Once you get to the Moon pack, you branch by the right and you hand this thing over to him,” She said and handed over an artifact.
“ Keep this safe!” She said to me one more time and hugged me tightly, planting a kiss on my forehead.
“No probs, Amara,” I said to her.
“ Mind you, you still haven't told me about your past life as a biker!” She giggled and I smiled.
“That's a part of my story you would love to hear,” I sighed. “ By the way, where are my kids?”
“ They are safe with me, you should know that.” She assured me and I pulled down my helmet, and zipped up my dress.
We assembled on the biker grounds as Alpha Xander walked by us, giving words of motivation as we were about to start. We kicked the bike and zoomed out of the large gate. My hands were smooth and precise on the handles and the bearings on the watch flipped green. I pressed my break, slowing down, allowing the majority to speed past me when I turned the bike to the direction of the bearing speeding.
But something caught my notice. About three bikes were after me, flashing and speeding towards me. My heart raced as I looked at them through the side mirror. Has the Lycan king caught me? I shunned the bearings and swiveled into another route, running back towards the bikers, but they kept following me.
I raced them, dodging them and scattering their precision. Thank the goddess for my outstanding skills. I kept running faster until one of the bikes cornered me. Untill then the rest came over and surrounded me.
“ Apart from being a coder, a biker, what other skills are you good at?” The man on helmet said with a chuckle. I froze. He knows me?
I muttered for words but nothing came out. I was short of words.
The other bikers removed their helmets and laughed at me. “ You're really a good biker!”
I was stunned, yet, my nerves calmed as they seemed not to cause any harm.
“Beta Alexander asked us to follow you and protect you!”
The biker in front of me said and my heart became soft, tears glistening in my eyes. I almost dropped those tears. Alexander, even on his sick bed, he was still there for me.
“ Oh, thank you!” I said and I blinked down the stressed tears.
I got on the bike and started following the bearing, speeding faster. After hours of speeding towards the signals of the bearings we finally landed on the spot where the bearings became green.
A big sign board: MOON: displayed on the big flag across us. I smiled and nodded slightly.
“ We are there!” I said and they all came down from their bikes, alerting their weapons.
I brought out the artifact and moved to the right corner as Amara has instructed. The artifact gloomed into the sky. Birds fled their nests, and trees shook heavily, leaves falling down.
I walked silently into the big house that was covered in the wood.
“ Who are you?” One of the guardians asked as he pointed his arrows at me.
“I'm sent to see the leader of this rogue Lycans.” I said to him,
He glanced over at his mate and said. “Why should I believe you aren't here to spy or cause havoc?”
I have what to show him, once he sees that he will understand me.
“ I'm sorry, he's not available!” He said and turned around but I paced to him quickly and held his hand.
“ Please don't go! I traveled down here from miles away. I need to see him.” I pleaded with my palms together but he didn't listen to me. He kept pacing away from me, but I insisted.
“ Amara sent me to him!” As I called the name, he froze and looked back at me.
“ You say who?”
“ Amara, a chef. She's my closest friend.”
His eyes that were once laced with blood were now calmed and soft as though the name touched a soft part of him.
“ Oh, my darling, Amara!” He looked up to the sky and nodded his head. He signalled for me to come in and I followed.
The space was vast and luxurious. The walls grew tall to the sky and were made of bricks. Pictures of blood and beast were sculpted on the walls.
As I entered the mansion, my eyes caught a figure seated on a royal chair. He has a little cup of vodka in his hand, that which he sipped at intervals.
His eyes were like arrows as he stared down at me. I took a step backwards and brought out the artifact, showing it to his face and his face lit up.
“Amara!” The name seeped out of his lips as he stood up from his chair.
“ She's my closest friend and she sent me here. She needs your help, I need your help.”
