Chapter 21 A secret fighting ring
Chapter 21 A secret fighting ring
I locked my room so tight that no one would know I was going out. I wore a thick sweater and covered my head with a hoodie cap. Tonight, I would be going out with one of the pack warriors that goes for patrols with bikes.
Because of the insurgency of the rogues and humans on the Lycan territory, the pack warriors patrol every night with helmet on their heads.
I was in the middle of the warriors as they matched out to the Lycan king. Alexander was the head of the bike men. He lifted his helmet above his head and stepped forward.
“ Alpha, permission to go for a patrol!” He bowed his head.
Xander sniffed walking closer to the warriors. He started passing through the warriors, examining each and everyone in silence.
My heart raced heavily as he almost stopped in front of me. If he catches me I would be ruined. Fortunately, he passed by and returned back to where he was.
“ Patrol warriors on your bike!” He ordered and everyone of us jumped on the bike.
I have learned how to ride bike since I was in college. I wasn't just a random biker, but one that has won medals for her clubs. Those were the little skills I have in secret apart from being a coder and an hacker.
I bounced on the bike, so perfectly like one of them. My hands grabbed the handles and my head was tipped upward, ready to ignite.
“ Let's get ready and prepared to move. Now!” Alexander called the motion and I kicked the bike. It roared back to life and the feelings of my previous life as a biker tugged in my head. I smiled at the old memories and started zoomed out of the place.
The road was smooth and clean. Cold air bite into my skin and chills filled up my skin. The sounds of bikes screeching side by side blared through the road. After some minutes they stopped at a junction and stepped down, grabbing their guns and facing the cardinals of the packs.
I was in the middle of them. I didn't remove my helmet. I just froze, my heart thumping harder in my chest.
Alexander walked up to me and tapped me to follow him.
“ Stay here and watch!” He started. “If flies passes here you should open fire at it.”
“ Okay, Sir!” They said in uniform and cracked their guns, crouching downward.
He asked me to leave my bike and climb his own. I did and I climbed on it. He kicked the bike and drove me out of the place to another place. It was later at night but the activities going on here were too busy to be mistaken for a day.
“ Where is this place?” I whispered but he quickly asked me to keep quiet. As steps approached from behind, he pushed me into the bathroom and threw a dress at me.
“ Wear this, now!” He said and slammed the door shut.
“ Identify yourself!” I overheard one of the guards asked him. And with a calm voice, he responded.
“ A fan of the human rogue wrestling. I've been watching now for the past five months now.”
“ What about the person inside?” Another one chimed in.
My legs trembled as he asked. I was damn sure he was referring to me.
“ Oh, she's my girlfriend.”
“ We don't trust you.” He refused and just then I stepped out of the restroom, looking sexy in the black lingerie I was putting on.
I went straight to him and kissed him.
I pulled my lips and our eyes jammed.
They led us with their hands and our hands tangled as he led me towards the direction of noises.
“ I never knew you had nice lips.” Alexander complimented.
I didn't smile or say anything to him. I only spared him a one glance. He parted a curtain and it revealed a set of wrestlers.
“ Wrestlers? Are they fighting for fun?” I inquired and we finally had our seats.
The ring spun in front of us. Vast and terrifying. Blood stains colored the ring as fighters exchanged fatal blows.
“ Yes, they fight for fun and money.” He said and brought out a smoke in his pocket. He lit it up and puffed it out.
“ So, why —” I wanted to ask him why we were here but he cut me off.
“ You don't get to ask so many questions here as it would land you into a bigger problems.” He said to me and passed the cigar to me. I nodded in rejection and he put it back into his mouth.
“ These are humans and rogues fighting for fun!” He started and I froze.
“ Rogues and humans? Aren't these vagabonds attacking the Lycan clans?”
He smiled and laughed so intensely. “Yes, they are and they are being controlled by the maskee rogue.”
“ What?” I shifted closer and looked around to be sure nobody was hearing this. “ You mean the masked rogue is here?”
“ Exactly!” He continued to smoke his cigar, puffing the smoke everywhere.
I sat into the seat and looked at those killing themselves for money when Alexander's voice warned.
“ I think by now you should learn how lower your head.”
As he said, I quickly lowered my head so low. But suddenly a familiar figure appeared in the stage as one of the wrestler killed the other one.
She stepped onto the stage and lifted the hand of the winner, raising it up.
“This motherfucker?” I wide eyed, and my mouth has refused to close..
“ Do you know her?” He asked, leaning into me.
I didn't know when my fingers fisted at both sides. I frowned and I could hear the hot breathe escaping my nostrils. I almost stand up from where I was and approached her for a fight.
“ Who's she to the rogue Alpha?” I asked Alexander, and turned to look at him.
“ He's the masked rogue's most trusted soul. Sarah Clark.”
I smiled bitterly. “ She's the one my mate rejected, humiliated and sold me and his daughter for.”
