I paced back and forth with furious steps, how could Sebastian treat me like this? How could he be so ungrateful?

I had always hated him from the first moment I laid eyes on him, the son of my husband's first wife, who died in childbirth, the boy I had to look after even against my will. Unfortunately, I couldn't get rid of the child, Marcus Lucian was a cold man, but he wasn't an idiot at all, he knew very well that I could do something to his precious heir and because of that, the boy lived peacefully, I took care of him even though I hated him, knowing that anything bad that happened to him would be put on my back and all the sacrifice I made would be in vain, at any moment I would lose everything that was important, including my life, that's how I lived my whole life, with a sword hanging above my head. When Dante was born, I thought things would be different, that I would have a chance, but my hopes were immediately dashed when I acted a little recklessly and tried to harm the boy, I didn't lose anything, but I was warned, if Sebastian was harmed in any way, Dante would pay and it was then that I understood that Marcus didn't just appreciate his first son because he was his heir, but because he was the son of his first wife, there were rumors that he loved her, but I never believed it, until I saw with my own eyes how much he loved the boy, how important he was. It was at that moment that I realized that Dante would never stand a chance against Sebastian, no matter how hard I tried, Dante would always be behind Sebastian, that's what I thought. I kept quiet until the moment my husband died, and when I became a widow, I began to hope that things would change, but by the time Marcus passed away, Sebastian was already a much worse monster than his father and with a much more frightening power.

I tried my best to keep up the pretense of normality, but I worked for years in hiding, increasing my family's power little by little, trying my best to prepare Dante for the job, although he only got into trouble most of the time, I maintain the belief that he will soon become an extraordinary man and much better than Sebastian, he just needs a chance, that's all and I will make sure to get it for him.

Now that I have enough power, I know I can do it, I have a lot of insiders inside Sebastian's business, I know what he does and when he does it, I've gained the trust of everyone I need and everything was going well until Sebastian showed up with a woman and as if that wasn't enough, he claimed that the woman is his wife. I refused to accept the woman and believed I could get around the situation, after all, it was just any woman, that's what I thought, but no, he had to bring in someone from the Miller family, dangerous people, who work for anyone, as long as the right price is paid, they don't get actively involved with anyone, you could say they are impartial and only do what they are paid to do. I used one of them recently, I know he's dead, because Sebastian doesn't forgive people who attempt on his life, what confuses me is how he married the sister of the person who tried to kill him, what's the connection between the two?
