Chapter 149 WAR UNDER MOON
Third Person POV
The war dragged on viciously. Every day someone was injured and every night the healers worked until they could barely keep their eyes open.
The forest between the territories had changed completely. Trees were broken, the ground was torn up, and the smell of smoke still lingered in the air from fires started during the fights.
Inside the main hall of the Blood Spirit Pack, the leaders and warriors gathered around a large wooden table. Maps were spread across it, showing the borders and the places where the worst battles had happened.
At the front stood Derek.
He looked exhausted. Weeks of fighting had taken a lot from him, but he still stood straight, refusing to show weakness.
Beside him stood Damien, his arms folded as he studied the map.
Across the room sat Amber.
She had been quiet for most of the meeting, watching the others talk. One of the warriors pointed to the map.
“They attacked again near the southern border this morning,” he said.
Damien frowned. “Again? That’s the third time this week.”
The warrior nodded. “Yes. The Golden Moon Pack keeps sending fighters there.”
Another man sighed loudly.
“They’re desperate.”
Derek rubbed his forehead.
“Not just them,” he said. “The Blood Moon Pack is still helping them.”
“And the other pack?” someone asked.
Damien shook his head.
“They’re barely standing after the last battles,” he said. “But they’re still backing the Golden Moon side.”
Amber finally spoke.
“So they’re throwing everything they have at us.”
The room went quiet as Derek looked at her.
“Yes,” he said. “Because they know this is their last chance.”
Damien leaned forward over the table.
“We’ve been fighting for weeks,” he said. “They’ve lost a lot of warriors already.”
“But so have we,” Amber replied.
Derek nodded slowly.
“That’s why we end this soon.”
One of the younger warriors looked uncertain.
“How?”
Derek pointed at the map again.
“They’ve pushed most of their fighters toward the valley,” he explained. “They think it gives them an advantage.”
Damien smirked slightly. “But it traps them too.”
Derek nodded.
“Exactly.”
Amber stood up from her chair.
“So the final battle happens there.”
“Yes,” Derek answered.
The room grew quiet again as everyone understood what that meant, the next fight would decide everything.
Damien glanced at Amber.
“You’ve been quiet these past weeks,” he said.
Amber crossed her arms.
“I’ve been helping the healers and watching the battles.”
Damien tilted his head.
“That’s not all.”
Amber hesitated for a moment before speaking.
“My power has been… changing.”
Several warriors exchanged looks. Derek frowned slightly.
“Changing how?”
Amber looked down at her hands.
“Stronger,” she said quietly. “Much stronger than before.”
Damien raised a brow.
“That doesn’t sound like a bad thing.”
Amber looked back at him.
“It might be if I can’t control it.”
“You’ve always controlled your power.”
“This is different.”
“Well,” he said with a small grin, “if this war keeps going, maybe we’ll need that power.”
Derek sighed.
“Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.”
He straightened and looked around the room.
“Prepare the warriors, we will move tomorrow.”
One of the fighters nodded.
“So this is it.”
Derek’s voice was firm.
“Yes.”
Amber looked out the window at the dark forest.
Weeks of fighting had brought them here and deep inside her, she could feel it.
The strange power is growing stronger every day. The final battle was coming and somehow she knew it would change everything.
The final battle began at sunrise. Warriors from every side gathered in the wide valley between the territories.
For weeks they had fought in smaller groups and surprise attacks, but now everything came down to one massive fight.
On one side stood the warriors of the Blood Spirit Pack.
At the front were Derek and Damien. Behind them stood dozens of fighters ready for the final clash.
Near the back stood Amber, watching carefully.
Across the valley stood the remaining fighters of the Golden Moon Pack, along with warriors from the Blood Moon Pack and the weakened Aqua Pack. One of their leaders stepped forward.
“This ends today,” he shouted.
Damien cracked his neck.
“Finally,” he muttered.
Derek stepped forward slightly. “You should have stopped weeks ago.”
The man laughed bitterly.
“And let you rule everything?”
Damien shrugged. “Sounds like a good plan to me.”
Several warriors chuckled quietly but the tension quickly returned.
The leader across the valley raised his hand.
“Attack!”
Within seconds the valley exploded into chaos. Wolves shifted and warriors ran forward. The sound of claws and growls filled the air.
Derek fought at the front, pushing through enemy fighters with powerful strikes. Damien fought beside him, moving quickly from one opponent to another.
The battle lasted for hours. The valley became filled with dust and noise but slowly the other packs began to weaken. They had already lost too many fighters during the long weeks of war.
Amber watched the chaos from behind the fighters and her hands trembled slightly. The strange power inside her had grown stronger again. She could feel it moving through her like a deep current.
Damien glanced back at her briefly during the fight.
“Amber!” he shouted.
“I’m fine!” she called back.
But the truth was the energy inside her was building faster than ever. She stepped forward.
One nearby warrior turned to her.
“What are you doing?”
Amber didn’t answer. Instead she raised her hands. A powerful wave of energy burst outward across the battlefield. The ground trembled slightly as fighters on both sides froze in shock.
Damien blinked.
“Well… that’s new.”
The wave of power spread across the valley, forcing everyone to stop fighting. Dust slowly settled in the air.
The enemy leaders looked around at their injured fighters. Many could barely stand.
Others were helping wounded friends off the ground, one of them sighed heavily.
“We can’t keep doing this.”
Another nodded.
“Our packs won’t survive another battle like this.”
Slowly, one of the leaders raised his hands.
“We surrender.”
The words spread quickly across the valley. The war was finally over.
Later that evening the leaders of all four packs gathered in the Blood Spirit hall. The Golden Moon leader spoke first.
“Our packs are too weak now,” he admitted. “Another war would destroy us.”
The Blood Moon leader nodded.
“We need peace.”
Derek looked at them carefully.
“And how do you suggest we make that happen?”
The leaders exchanged glances before answering.
“We combine the packs.”
Damien blinked.
“All of them?”
“Yes.”
“One territory,” the man continued. “One rule.”
The room stayed quiet for a moment as Amber looked at Derek.
He thought for a long moment before nodding slowly.
“Then we build something stronger.”
Weeks later the forest slowly began to recover from the war. The four packs became one united pack under the Blood Spirit Pack.
The fighting stopped and the borders were no longer guarded by enemies and for the first time in weeks, the land finally
knew peace again.
The war had ended and the Blood Spirit Pack now reigned over the united territory.
