Breakfast in bed
Breakfast in bed
Mateo
Last night, Natsuke and I stayed up until dawn. She looked beautiful at the dance and I could barely dance in peace with my mate.
Luckily, Noah found out about everything and now I needed to make peace between these two Alphas so that this wouldn't mess up my pack too.
I went down to have breakfast with an idea in mind and was going to bring Nat breakfast in bed when I bumped into Noah. We had a quick chat and he gave me two good ideas. First, to throw a dance inviting all the two neighboring packs. Who knows, maybe new couples would appear and bring our packs closer together? And second, to propose marriage between Alpha Celo and Alpha Cris's daughter. It would be a way to stop the fight between the two neighbors.
Her name was Liza, she was already of mating age and hadn't found her mate yet. Who knows, maybe she would like Celo?
“Noah, I think it’s a good idea. Celo would merge the two packs and would have a share of the gold mine, but what would Alpha Cris gain from that?”
“Well, you would no longer have an enemy, your daughter would be the Luna of a much larger pack, you would avoid losing men in the war, and you would be giving away a piece of land that you won’t need, but that would unite the two packs without them having to pass through your lands.”
I didn’t understand what he was thinking. “What piece of land?”
“There where the river is. Bordering the lands of the Crescent Moon. In the future, they will use the river to refine gold. You would be in an uncomfortable situation because someone would always cross the river, unintentionally or not.
By giving it away as part of an alliance treaty, you are avoiding a future conflict. But that’s just an opinion; it also depends on whether Liza accepts Celo.” “I like this idea. My father always wanted Liza and I, you know, as Alphas want to unite packs… At the time, Celo wasn’t even considered, he was Gama’s son. Recently his father became Beta because the Alpha passed away without leaving an heir and Beta Eric took over as leader. His mate died in childbirth, they never remarried and prepared his Beta’s son, Celo, for the succession.
“If these two, Liza and Celo, unite, we would keep our state of Colorado in peace”, I needed to articulate this and my father could help talk to Alpha Cris, they were friends.
“Good morning, Alphas”. John woke up with a happy face every day after Bella came to live with him. “Breakfast in bed for the princess, again?”, I asked laughing. “Yes, after yesterday, she deserves it”, John replied with a mischievous smile. He revealed himself to be a romantic.
“Hey, what did you mean by that?” Noah frowned, and then he was jealous of his younger sister.
“Oh, no couples,” John blushed, “I mean, the party was a success.”
Noah and I burst out laughing.
John put a little bit of everything on the tray and left. I’ll do the same for Nat!”
Noah smiled and stood up. “Now, I think I’d better bring breakfast in bed to the troublemaker too.”
Noah
I entered the room without making a sound. She was sleeping in a transparent nightgown. I didn’t know if she designed it for herself or bought it, but she was neat and sexy even in her nightwear.
I put the tray on the table, but I think the smell of coffee woke her up.
I sat down carefully so as not to sink too much into the bed and she put her hands over her eyes.
“Hey, I brought your coffee, princess.”
“I must look terrible, Noah…”
“That’s simply impossible, woman.” I kissed a lock of her hair.
“I’m going to get up and brush my teeth. Will you wait here for me so we can talk?”
“I’m not going anywhere without you, mate, I thought you knew that.”
She looked me in the eyes and lowered her head.
“I want to apologize for yesterday. It wasn’t what you had in mind…”
“Shall we have coffee first? It’s going to get cold,” I said. I didn’t want to start the conversation with the idea of having caught a wolf in my room. That would drive me crazy.”
For me, there was no excuse or explanation for this. She was going to have to learn some boundaries.
But first, we were going to get to the root of the problem.
