Chapter 125 Luna Is Thrown Ou

Chapter 125 Luna Is Thrown Ou
Luna paced back and forth in her room, irritation burning through her veins.

One plan had failed. Fine. She would simply move on to the next.

Julian was treating Cora well now for only two reasons.
One, she was carrying his child.
Two, Cora’s first time had been with him.

That combination made her “pure” in his eyes.

But what if that purity was destroyed?

If I ruin her completely, Luna thought coldly, let’s see if you’ll still keep circling her, Julian.

The wife of the YS Group CEO having an affair?

That kind of scandal would be impossible to suppress. Even for him.

The photos she had now weren’t enough. Not decisive enough.

What she needed was proof.

Real proof.

Cora sleeping with another man.

Luna let out a low, satisfied laugh.

Cora, let’s see how you escape this one.

She picked up her phone and dialed a number.

It rang for a long time before someone finally answered. A drunken voice slurred on the other end.

“Hello?”

The moment Luna heard his tone, nausea rose in her throat. Still, she forced herself to continue.

“Can you get Cora to meet you one more time?”

A drunken scoff came through the phone. “Impossible. I already offended her last time. Whether it’s me or my mom, she won’t believe anything now. Luna, I’ve done everything you asked. Are you even capable?”

He paused, then added casually, “By the way, I’m short on cash again. Send me another twenty thousand.”

The sound of his hiccup made Luna want to vomit.

She nearly hung up.

But she still needed him. Not yet.

“Fine. I’ll send it,” she snapped. “Soren, can you grow a spine? Don’t you want your old life back? When you had money, how many women threw themselves at you?”

Soren laughed drunkenly, the sound sharp with bitterness.

“I can’t even find a job now. The moment companies see my résumé, they kick me out before I can speak. Luna, I’ve cooperated enough. If I don’t get money this time, you’ll have to pay in another way.”

His tone shifted, ugly and bold.

“The one I liked first was you. You shoved Cora at me just to avoid me. Now you’re using both of us and think I can’t tell?”

He snorted. “I’ve got nothing left. I don’t mind you either. If the money doesn’t come through, I’ll sleep with you. Don’t blame me then.”

That was the final straw.

Luna smashed her phone onto the floor.

Sleep with him?

He didn’t deserve to even look at her.

⸻

Julian slept unusually well that night. Still, the moment his phone vibrated, he woke instantly.

He lowered his gaze to Cora sleeping peacefully in his arms. His expression softened.

He pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, carefully withdrew his arm, and checked the message.

It was from Nodin.

“The source of the photos has been confirmed. That day, Madam went to see Soren’s mother, not Soren himself. We also obtained call records. Mr. Clark assisted, which sped things up.”

Julian replied with a single word.

“Okay.”

Nodin continued.

“The calls show Madam went because Soren’s mother claimed she’d come to rely on her son, was robbed, and couldn’t afford the restaurant bill. Madam didn’t know Soren would appear.”
Julian frowned.

Then the tension in his chest vanished.

He’d known it.

His Cora wouldn’t have such terrible taste.

What did Soren have that could compare to him?

Another message followed.

“We also reviewed hotel surveillance. After Madam left, Soren and Luna met privately in the room. It’s now confirmed this was a setup orchestrated by Luna.”

Julian turned to look at Cora again.

She’d been framed this badly, yet hadn’t said a single word to him.

Idiot.

Luna?

She wasn’t worth even one strand of Cora’s hair.

“Understood.”

He set the phone aside.

Luna, since you enjoy playing games, he thought coldly, I’ll play along.
But the price? I hope you’re ready.
He lay back down, pulled Cora into his arms again, kissed her brow, and finally went back to sleep.

⸻

When Cora woke the next morning, Julian was already gone.

She rubbed her eyes, sat up, and pulled the curtains open.

Sunlight flooded the bedroom, warm and comforting.

Avery knocked and entered, handing her water to rinse her mouth, followed by a glass of fresh milk.

Cora sipped slowly, massaging her temples.

She hadn’t slept this peacefully in a long time.

Have I… really grown used to sleeping in his arms?

“Madam,” Avery said brightly, “the CEO instructed that your confinement is lifted. You’re free to go out now. Would you like to get some fresh air?”

Cora paused.

Julian really was as unpredictable as ever.

Was he in a good mood because she helped him undress last night?

The thought made her ears warm.

She quickly changed the subject. “Where’s Julian?”

“He went to the office,” Avery replied, then leaned in and whispered excitedly, “And Luna was kicked out!”

She couldn’t hide her glee.

Everyone in the house knew. The CEO only had eyes for Madam.

Women like Luna were just embarrassing themselves.

Cora was surprised.

Brought in yesterday. Thrown out before dawn.

That was Julian’s style.

Seeing Avery’s eagerness, Cora smiled gently. “All right. I wanted to buy a few things anyway. Anywhere you’d like to go?”

Avery flushed. “Madam, I didn’t mean—”

“It’s fine,” Cora said softly. “I want to go out too.”

“There’s a new luxury mall that just opened,” Avery said, eyes sparkling. “All designer boutiques. Want to take a look?”

Cora smiled. “Sure.”

Then she remembered.

She’d transferred all her money to Vivienne.

What exactly was she going to buy?

Avery caught the hesitation immediately. “The butler gave me a credit card earlier. Unlimited. He said you can use it freely.”

There was no need to guess who arranged that.

If Julian stayed cold, leaving would be easier.

But if he kept treating her this well…

She wasn’t sure she could walk away.

Julian, she wondered quietly, what do you actually want from me?
And what do I have to do to meet your expectations?
