Chapter 76: I Love Mother

Natalie

I was nervously shaking as I stood in front of my little girl. She was looking at us suspiciously and I gulped as her eyes scanned both of us and then looked at Lorenzo's arms around me. He removed his arms immediately.

She was looking at us confused and I think she was thinking about why we were this close to each other. I actually couldn't wait to see her reaction to us being together. Lorenzo began to speak as he removed his arms around me and then he told her, I was more than surprised by her reaction.

She was so happy, jumping up and down and chanting yes in pure happiness. I was so happy and less nervous after I saw her reaction. I was glad that she had a happy reaction when hearing the news that we were together. A smile even made its way to my lips when I saw her very cute reaction. But then that suddenly faded when I remembered what I had to do.

I grew nervous once again, my hands were sweaty and my breathing increased. My mind was running wild and my mouth closed, not wanting to say anything. But this is how it has to be and I have to do this, no matter what is trying to make me not speak. She has to know the truth, she has to know that I am her biological mother.

Taking a deep breath, I composed myself before opening my mouth. She gave me her full attention right away and I gulped, not trying to think anything that is not positive. Nothing that has to do with the reaction of my daughter when she knows the truth.

Lorenzo looked at me, he already knew what I was about to say. I took another deep breath before finally deciding to confess the truth to her and there is no going back.

"I am your biological mother." I finally said and she froze at the spot.

Fiona Pov.

My whole world stopped for a moment, I just stood frozen, trying to process the words that had just come out of Miss. Jackson's mother.

She is my biological mother? I couldn't believe it when I just heard, is she my real mother? Since when? How? Why didn't I know of this earlier?

I had so many questions running through my head right now and was more than confused. If she is my real mother why then was I motherless? I have a mother who is here and alive and who happens to be one of the people I love so much.

I was happy but at the same time confused and sad. I was confused about why the sudden confession and why didn't I hear about this a long time ago? Why didn't she tell me if she knew I was her daughter? Why now? I was so confused.

I was also sad, I had a mother who was alive and was right under my nose yet no one told me anything about it. I was so sad with all the questions in my mind and I needed answers to. Then, why did she leave? Why did she leave me? Didn't she love me? Was she tired of me and hated me that she gave me to my father and left?

I was very sad and confused right now and I needed answers. I couldn't even wait until tomorrow because I am very curious, I just needed to know everything from the start to the finish.

I looked up to meet Natalie, she was looking down at me with sad eyes and for some reason I knew she was scared of my questions but I had to ask anyway. I needed to know.

"Why? Why didn't you tell me earlier?" I asked and she sighed.

I watched as Natalie walked over to my father and sat down, then gestured for me to come over and I did, obediently.

"I will leave you guys to talk." My father suddenly said and looked up to see my father looking down at me and then made his way over to Natalie and placed a kiss on her forehead.

He pulled away and then turned to me. I was a little shocked because I have never seen my father showing love to a woman before. It was so foreign to me but I felt even more happy, l could see the love my father has for Natalie in his eyes. It was shining like a bright star. My father truly loves her, I can see that.

"Fiona, all I want to tell you is that your mother really loves you. You should just listen to her explanation of everything, don't be like me and assume anything." My father said but he mumbled the last part. I nodded my head, not understanding what he meant by that.

Don't be like me and assume anything? What does that even mean? My father turned around and cupped Natalie's face, saying something quietly to her which l barely heard.

"If you need help, call me okay?"

I watched as Natalie nodded her head, the same sad expression on her face but this time she looked like she was about to cry.

"Alright," she responded and my father smiled at her before he let go of her face and walked to the door, leaving the room.

Now, I was left alone with Natalie and I was more than ready to hear everything and I promise I won't assume anything. I would listen to her explanation. She sighed, closing her eyes and then opened them before opening her mouth to speak.

"I..I didn't tell you earlier because I was scared." She said and I frowned.

"Scared? Why?" I asked, I was even more confused now.

"B.. because, Fiona. I thought you would hate me and assume that I left you. That I didn't love you, I was scared that you would misunderstand me and hate me." She said in a choked voice and I felt bad for her.

I would never think this woman hates me, I just wanted to know. I love her as my own mother and now that I know she is my biological mother, I am even more happy but a little surprised too because I never thought the woman I had wished to be my mother is actually my mother.

"So, you didn't leave me?" I asked, and she shook her head immediately.

"No, never, Fiona. I would never ever leave you."

"Then what happened?"

If she didn't leave me, they wouldn't be together in the past. Why wasn't I taken to see my mother on holidays or whatever. I looked at her, eagerly waiting to hear her response but what came next wasn't something I thought I would hear.

She told me how I got kidnapped when I was just seven days old. She was even crying telling me the story, I wasn't upset with her at all. I was mad at the person that kidnapped me and took me away from my mother.

"That wasn't nice of them at all, they didn't have to kidnap me!"

But I was also somewhat happy too because if they didn't kidnap me and brought me to my father's house then I would have never met my father but thankfully I did.

"Do you know who that person was?" I asked, she shook her head and sighed.

"No but I believe that your father is looking into the matter right now. So is there anything else you want me to tell you?" She asked and I thought for a while.

No, I didn't actually have any more questions since all of my questions had been answered. I shook my head and a small smile made its way onto her lips. She took me into her arms and gave me a very warm hug that I loved a lot. I wished that I could stay like this forever, I truly love Miss Jackson. No, my mother.

"I love you, Fiona." She whispered and that brought a bright smile on my face.

"I love you too, mother." I responded with a smile.
