Chapter 56: Back on her Feet

Enora awoke to the soft rays of sunlight filtering through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. She stretched her limbs, feeling the stiffness in her muscles from spending so much time in bed. But despite the comfort of the plush pillows and soft blankets, Enora was sick of being confined to her bed. Her injuries were healing, thanks to the doctor’s help.

With a sigh, she pushed herself upright, her mind filled with restless energy. She longed to be up and about, to feel the rush of adrenaline coursing through her veins as she tackled the challenges of the day. But as she swung her legs over the edge of the bed, she was met with a wave of dizziness, a reminder of her recent ordeal.

Grimacing, Enora steadied herself against the bed frame, willing the dizziness to pass. She was tired of feeling weak and vulnerable, tired of being coddled and pampered by Sebastian, Adam, and Lucas. She longed to reclaim her independence, to prove that she was strong enough to face whatever challenges lay ahead. With a determined set to her jaw, Enora made her way to the bathroom, her mind racing with thoughts of all the things she wanted to do. She washed her face and brushed her teeth, feeling a renewed sense of purpose coursing through her veins. Today was going to be different. Today, she was going to take charge of her own destiny.

Enora knew that Sebastian, Lucas, and Adam would probably be furious if they found out that she had left her bed without their permission, but she could bring herself to care. She was done with being treated like a helpless child, tired of being coddled and pampered at every turn. Time to get back to work!

With a bright smile, Enora stepped into the office. Sebastian, Lucas, and Adam looked up, and almost immediately the objections started to fly through the room. “Enora! Come, I will bring you back to bed.”, Sebastian said, and he got up and grabbed her elbow to guide her back upstairs.

Enora’s eyes flashed with defiance as she pulled away from Sebastian’s grasp, her determination burning bright within her. “No Sebastian.”, she retorted firmly, her voice laced with frustration. “I’m tired of being treated like a child. I am perfectly fine.”

Sebastian’s brow furrowed in concern, his gaze flickering with worry as he looked at Enora. “But you’re still recovering.”, he insisted, his tone pleading. “You need to rest.”

Enora shook her head stubbornly, her resolve unwavering. “I’ve had enough rest.”, she countered, her voice tinged with defiance. “I want to get back to work.”

Lucas and Adam exchanged a glance, their expressions mirroring Sebastian’s concern. “Enora, we understand that you’re eager to get back to normal.”, Lucas began, his voice gentle. “But you need to listen to your body. You’re still healing.”

Enora’s jaw clenched in frustration, her patience wearing thin. “I’m fine, Lucas.”, she insisted, her tone sharp. “I don’t need to be babied anymore. I’m perfectly capable of taking care of myself.”

Adam stepped forward, his expression filled with concern as he reached out to touch Enora’s arm. “Enora, please.”, he implored, his voice soft. “We just want what’s best for you. You need to rest and allow yourself time to heal.”

But Enora was not to be swayed. With a determined set to her jaw, she squared her shoulders and met their gazes head-on. “I appreciate your concern.”, she said, her voice steady. “But I need to do this. I need to prove to myself that I’m strong enough to face whatever challenges come my way.”

Sebastian, Lucas, and Adam exchanged a resigned glance, knowing that arguing with Enora would be futile. With a heavy sigh, Sebastian relented, his expression filled with resignation. “Fine.”, he conceded, his voice resigned. “But we’re keeping a close eye on you. If you start to feel tired or unwell, you go straight back to bed, understood?”

Enora nodded in agreement, her determination burning bright within her. “Understood.”, she replied firmly, her voice filled with conviction. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have work to do.”

With that, she turned on her heel and made her way to her desk, her heart pounding with excitement. She knew that she was taking a risk by defying Sebastian, Lucas, and Adam’s wishes, but she couldn’t bring herself to care. She was tired of being coddled and pampered at every turn. As she settled back into her work, her mind raced with thoughts of all the things she wanted to accomplish to improve the state of the pack. She was eager to dive back into her projects, to lose herself in the thrill of the chase. But as she worked, she couldn’t shake the nagging feeling of restlessness that gnawed at her insides.

She glanced up from her work, her eyes drifting over to where Sebastian, Lucas, and Adam were engrossed in their own tasks. A surge of arousal washed over her as she studied them, her heart pounding with desire. Since meeting them, her sex drive had been insatiable, and not being physical with them drove her crazy. She knew that they still saw her as injured, still treated her with kid gloves. But she had heard them having sex in the kitchen when she was still bedridden, their passionate cries echoing through the mansion. And now, Enora wanted sex.

With a mischievous glint in her eye, she set her plan into motion. She knew that Sebastian, Lucas, and Adam would try to resist her advances, would try to push her away. But she was determined to break through their defenses, to seduce them with her charms. She leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs and letting her skirt ride up slightly, revealing a glimpse of her legs. She could feel their eyes on her, their gazes lingering on her exposed flesh. With a sly smile, she reached down and trailed her fingers lightly along her thigh, her touch sending shivers of pleasure coursing through her veins.

Sebastian, Lucas, and Adam exchanged a wary glance, their expressions filled with uncertainty. They knew that Enora was up to something, knew that she was trying to seduce them. But they were determined to resist her charms, to protect her from herself. Enora’s smile widened as she leaned forward, her voice low and sultry as she spoke. “What’s the matter, boys?”, she purred, her eyes smoldering with desire. “Don’t you want to play?”

Sebastian, Lucas, and Adam swallowed hard, their throats dry as they struggled to find their words. They knew that they should resist Enora’s advances, should push her away. But the primal urge to claim her as their own was too strong to ignore. Enora knew that she was playing with fire, knew that she was tempting fate. But she was determined to take what she desired.

With a seductive smile, she rose from her chair and sauntered over to where Sebastian, Lucas, and Adam were sitting. She could see the desire burning in their eyes, could feel the heat of their longing as she drew closer. She reached out and trailed her fingers lightly along Sebastian’s jaw, her touch sending a jolt of electricity through him. “Come on, Sebastian.”, she whispered, her voice husky with desire. “Don’t you want me?”

Sebastian’s breath caught in his throat as he met Enora’s gaze, his heart pounding with desire. He knew that he should resist her, that he should push her away. But the pull of her was too strong to ignore, too intoxicating to resist. Enora leaned in closer, her lips brushing against Sebastian’s ear as she whispered. “I want you, Sebastian. I need you.”

Adam looked at Sebastian swallowing hard. He knew his mate was about to cave, and he knew that he had to do something. Without thinking it through, Adam reached over and pulled Sebastian towards him to kiss him hungrily.

Lucas intervened swiftly. He rose from his seat and circled around the desk, his expression determined as he approached Enora from behind. “Enough, Enora.”, he growled, his voice low and commanding. “We can’t keep playing this game. It’s not fair to any of us.”

Enora’s eyes widened in surprise as Lucas’ hands came down firmly on her shoulders, pulling her away from Sebastian and Adam. She turned to face him, her heart racing with a heady mixture of desire and frustration.

“But Lucas.”, she protested, her voice tinged with desperation. “I need you.”

Lucas’ expression softened slightly as he looked into Enora’s eyes, his gaze filled with empathy. “I know, Enora.”, he said gently. “But this isn’t the way. We need to be patient, to give you time to heal.”

Enora’s shoulders slumped in defeat as she realized that she wouldn’t be able to win today. But there is always tomorrow…
