Chapter 22

Xylon knew that he had completely messed up . He had allowed Xoryn to catch him and come to think of it he didn't know that Xoryn was in the palace. He followed Andreus to the palace after deceiving him into thinking that he was on their side.

He could never be on a vampire side. He hated them with extreme passion . He hadn't  devised the plan already in his mind before coming for the battle. It just happened when he saw one of his own about to kill Andreus. He shot the werewolf but what he didn't know was that they all had a bulletproof vest for protection.

He would never dare to kill his own kind for a vampire,he would rather die than do such a despicable thing. He knew that they already found out about their plan or how else they arrived at the battle field fully prepared .

He managed to deceive Andreus into believing that he was on their side and even made up a sob story to convince both him and his brother. It was like taking candy from a baby or in other words he killed two birds with one stone.

Now all that was bothering him was Xoryn. She had seen everything and he hoped that she didn't get the wrong idea or else he wouldn't be able to execute his plan . She would have the mindset that he was the traitor nor knowing that he was totally on her side and wouldn't dare betray his pack.

" What are you thinking about?" Andreus asked him and he got out of his thoughts and back to reality. 

" Nothing," he told Andreus . " In Fact I'm tired, I'll go back to my room " he said with a fake yawn and Andreus nodded in response letting him leave.

He walked into the palace and hadn't even taken two steps when he felt a strange force pull him and  pinned him to the wall ,it was none other than Xoryn. He gulped his saliva and looked at her,she had that same daring look as if she could kill him right there and then.

" What the hell?What do you think you're doing?" . Xoryn asked him ,he tried answering but she just kept interrupting him.

" I always doubted you but I never knew you could be a traitor and betray your own pack ,I mean how can you be so heartless?" She asked him another question. He tried answering but she didn't even let him answer. He wasn't the type to raise his hands on women or else he would have flinged her out of his sight. 

" How can you be so heartless?Just wait till Keldon and the entire pack finds out about this. You'll not only lose your title but I guarantee that I will be the one to behead you" she said. Her voice was so loud that Xylon  was afraid of the others hearing us.

He immediately covered her mouth with my hand , spinned her around and pinned her to the wall. This time he was in charge and wouldn't let her boss him around like she was some goddess or something.

" Listen to me, woman  , '' he yelled but she kept mumbling in his hands and eventually bit his hands, making him remove his hand from her mouth and she spinned him back, pinning him to the wall.

" Why should I calm down?You are the traitor not me so tell me why I should calm down ?" She asked and Xylon eyes kept roaming around to see if anyone was there or passing by.

" What if someone hears us at least let's go to a private place to talk" he told her and that seemed to calm her down. She knew he had a point and if anyone caught them in that position especially with the fact that they were both werewolves ,it would get them in trouble.

" Let's go to my room" she said and dragged him to her room which was not too far off from where they were. She closed the door but not before checking if there was anyone in that area 

" So tell me,what were you doing there?Are you a traitor?, Or perhaps you're even the one who gave my brother the wolf bane?" she kept making guesses, confusing Xylon.

" Stop there,you've been talking all day ,it's my turn to speak , I won't just stand here and let you accuse me of things I didn't do and have no intention of doing" he said and she decided to let him have a say. She stood there with her arms folded letting him talk.

" Ok,go on and spit out your lie" she said and Xylon became afraid that she might not believe him.

" I'm not a traitor,I pretended to kill one of our kind to gain Andreus trust so he could get me to the palace do you think it's natural that those vampires came out during the day time?, I need to stay here to know more about them so I can escape back to the pack and then we can come back for a battle but this time we're gonna be full prepared" . He told her everything and all she thought that he made quite a sense but didn't think that it was that easy for a vampire to trust him and for her to trust that he wasn't fooling her.

" Who else knows about this?" She asked him.

" No one,just you and I" . He told her and she wasn't really sure if she could trust him but then again she was all alone in an unknown clan. What did she have to lose?.

" What if the king finds out about you?" She asked, scared that the king could see him and kill him.

" He already did,I didn't win his trust though but I'll try, he only allowed me to stay here because I saved his brother's life " he told her . Xoryn wasn't dumb ,she knew that Alexanvian couldn't accept a werewolf into his domain just like that he's definitely doing it for something.
