Chapter 37 Sacrifice

Chapter 37 Sacrifice
The lakeside estate had fallen into a heavy, uneasy silence after the brutal claiming on the altar.
The grand hall was still stained with the evidence of their union blood, sweat, and cum marking the ancient stone. The full moon hung low outside the broken windows, casting everything in a sickly crimson glow that made the bloodstains look fresh. The bonds between the four crowns and the Moon's Daughter thrummed with raw power, but the peace was fragile and fleeting.
A new threat shattered it completely.
The Alpha had come himself.
Selene's father stood at the edge of the estate grounds, flanked by dozens of his most loyal Silverfang warriors. His silver-streaked hair caught the moonlight as he stared at the mansion with cold, unyielding eyes. His voice carried across the distance through the pack bond, loud enough for all of them to hear, dripping with venom, disgust, and centuries of hatred.
"Daughter," he spat, the word laced with pure contempt. "You have one chance left to redeem yourself before I wipe your existence from our bloodline. Come out now. Surrender yourself willingly. Crawl back to your pack on your knees like the shameful, cock-addicted whore you have become. Or we will burn this cursed place to the ground, drag you out by your filthy silver hair, and make an example of you in front of every wolf who ever called you blood. I will let my warriors take turns on you until you beg for death. Then I will personally peel the skin from your traitorous body while your lovers watch. Your suffering will be legendary. Your name will become a warning for every half-blood who dares to betray their pack. Come out now, or I swear on the moon itself that your mates will die screaming before I end your miserable life."
The words landed like a death sentence.
Inside the mansion, the four men surrounded Selene. Enzo's hand was on her waist, Kael stood protectively at her side, Damien and Rafe flanked them. The tension was suffocating.
Selene stepped forward, her body still aching from the claiming, her voice steady despite the fear clawing at her chest.
"I'll go."
The room erupted.
"No," Enzo snarled, stepping forward and grabbing her arms. "Absolutely fucking not."
Kael's voice was a low growl. "You will not walk into that monster's hands. I turned against my own father for you. Don't make that meaningless."
Damien's cool composure cracked. "The prophecy demands all four crowns. Your death would tear us apart. Literally."
Rafe's shadows lashed out, cracking the stone railing. "Over my dead body, beautiful. I finally found something worth fighting for. You're not taking that away from me."
Selene looked at each of them, the men who had claimed her body, blood, and soul. Tears burned in her silver eyes.
"If I go, the fighting stops," she whispered, voice breaking. "My father gets what he wants. No more of your men have to die—no more blood on your hands because of me. I was born to be a weapon. Let me be one last time."
Enzo's grip tightened painfully. "You think I can live without you? After everything? After I chose you over my own blood? I'd rather burn this city to ash than let you walk into that monster's hands."
Kael dropped to one knee in front of her, silver eyes glistening. "You are my sister. My Luna. My everything. I have loved you in ways I was never allowed to feel. Don't make me watch you die."
Damien's cool fingers brushed her cheek. "The bond is not just pleasure, little wolf. It is survival. Your death would destroy us all."
Rafe's shadows wrapped around her waist, gentle for once. "I've spent my life running from everything. You're the first thing I want to run toward. Don't you dare leave me now."
Selene sobbed, covering her face with her hands.
"I love you," she whispered. "All of you. That's why I have to do this. I can't watch you die for me. I can't be the reason your empires fall."
The Alpha's voice rang out again, louder and crueler than before:
"Come out, you filthy, tainted bitch! You have disgraced our bloodline by spreading your legs for mafia scum and bloodsucking parasites. I raised you to be a weapon, not a cum-dump for our enemies. If you do not surrender yourself immediately, I will personally peel the skin from your mates while you watch. I will let my warriors take turns on you until you beg for death. Then I will drag your broken, used body back to the pack and make every wolf watch as I execute you for treason. Come out now, or I swear on the moon itself that your suffering will be legendary."
The words were like knives.
Selene stepped outside.
The Alpha waited at the edge of the grounds, flanked by dozens of his most loyal warriors.
Selene walked toward her father with steady steps, head high, tears streaming down her face. The wind whipped her silver-streaked hair. The full moon watched silently.
"I'm here," she called out, voice clear despite the tears. "Take me. End this war. Let them live."
The Alpha's eyes gleamed with triumph. "Wise choice, daughter. But know this, your punishment will be slow. You will watch your lovers die first. Then you will suffer for every day you spent betraying your own blood."
His warriors moved forward to seize her.
Then four voices roared as one.
Enzo, Kael, Damien, and Rafe burst from the mansion like avenging gods.
"No!" Enzo bellowed, gun raised.
Kael shifted mid-leap into his massive wolf form, charging forward with a thunderous howl.
Damien became a blur of shadow and death.
Rafe's laughter rang out as shadows erupted around him like a storm.
The final battle for the Moon's Daughter had begun.
Selene stood between two armies, her past and her future, tears falling as the men she loved charged to save her.
She had offered her life.
They had refused to let her give it.
And now the night would run red with the consequences.
