Haley's eyes flickered. She guessed that Owen should be a child from the Winston family when she heard his name.
However, she never expected that he was Ivan's son.
The child looked about the same age as Todd, probably around four years old.
But when she was still in Cuenca four or five years ago, she didn't seem to hear about Ivan getting married...
'I don't know where you heard about my son, but you better keep it to yourself,' Ivan's voice warned, 'Once I find out that you have leaked the Winston family's secret, I will not let you or your daughter off.'
Upon hearing this, Haley almost laughed out of anger. No matter how he threatened her, she could remain indifferent. But this man should not use Angela as a tool for threats!
She gently lifted her eyelids and coldly smiled, 'Mr. Winston, although the Winston family might have unrivaled power and no one dares to provoke you, as long as you dare to harm my daughter, I will make you regret ever learning the word "regret".'
What's the big deal about making empty threats? Anyone can do that.
Haley gave him a cold glance and turned to leave. Ivan stared at her figure disappearing around the corner before returning his gaze.
Turning his head, he looked at Owen in the bodyguard's arms and coldly asked, 'Tell me, why did you come here?'
No one would know how much sweat he broke out when the butler told him that Owen was missing.
Although these two sons were not brought into this world by his own will, they had become the most difficult part for him to let go of. If Owen was truly lost, he would never forgive himself.
Owen lowered his head and said nothing. He didn't like staying in the Winston family at all. He would rather hide somewhere for a day than stay at home even for a second.
'Since you won't speak, then I can only focus on that woman,' Ivan said slowly. As soon as he finished speaking, Owen raised his head stubbornly and said, 'I've already told you, I came to find her myself. It has nothing to do with her. Father, must you be so black and white?'"
"Discipline?" Ivan said coldly, "Go back, three days of solitary confinement."
"I don't care if you lock me up!" Owen snorted.
After all, staying at the Winston Mansion was like being locked up every day, what difference does it make to be locked up in the yard or in the study?
Owen's attitude only made Ivan even angrier.
There were no disobedient children in the Winston family.
It seems that they really need to find a strict teacher to discipline him properly!
Ivan brought Owen back to the Winston family.
Emily rushed over anxiously, "Owen, are you okay? The butler said you were missing, I was really scared... Let mommy see if you're hurt..."
She rushed over, wanting to embrace Owen.
But Owen would rather be held by the bodyguards than by her, and he pushed her away forcefully.
Emily stumbled and fell onto the sofa, tears welling up in her eyes, "Owen, how could you push me? I'm your biological mother..."
Owen didn't even look at her, he quickly went to the study and slammed the door shut.
Emily covered her face and cried, "Ivan, how did Owen become like this? I've been so attentive to him, but he always treats me badly. Is it because he's ashamed of being born out of wedlock?"
Ivan was irritated, and when he heard her crying, his impatience increased even more.
Emily knew she should stop, but she really couldn't wait any longer.
If that little bitch Haley had died, she would have plenty of time to plan.
But now, Haley could discover Keith and Owen's existence at any moment, she had to... marry into the Winston family as soon as possible.
She couldn't wait anymore!
If she waited any longer, something unexpected would definitely happen!
"Ivan, can Owen stay with me for some time? I want to cultivate a mother-son relationship with him..." Emily bit her lip and cried, "Owen treats me like this, it must be because I haven't spent enough time with him. As long as the two of us live together for some time, our relationship will surely improve..."
Ivan's sharp gaze fell on her face, "Have I not told you not to have delusions about things that don't belong to you?"
"No, I haven't. I just want to improve my relationship with Owen..." Emily's heart ached from his gaze, "Owen is my son that I carried for nine months. I can't just stay estranged from him forever, right... Ivan, I'm begging you, can I move into the Winston family? Just for a month... No, half a month is enough..."
If Emily truly liked children, he might not be unwilling to marry her for the sake of the children.
But!
He often saw this woman looking at Owen with cold eyes.
If this woman were to live with Owen, the child's personality would probably become more stubborn and stubborn.
He really couldn't understand why he had slept with such a malicious woman five years ago...
On the first day the child was born, she came to him to take responsibility. Obviously, she just wanted to use their son to climb up the social ladder.
And yet, he had spent eight months with this woman all because of that one night...
If he had known she was this kind of woman, he would never have stepped into that room that night.
"Ivan, I am Owen's mother. Everything I do is for his own good. I would never dare to imagine anything else..." Emily pleaded, "Can you give me a chance to live with Owen?"
Ivan responded calmly, "From now on, I will have a teacher give Owen private lessons. It is not convenient for you to stay here. I will have someone take you back."
After saying that, he turned and walked into the study.
The spacious living room was now empty, with only Emily alone. She gritted her teeth and her nails dug deep into her palms.
Ivan, this man, was really heartless. She had given birth to two sons for the Winston family, and he still treated her like this!
If it weren't for having no other choice, how could she have begged like this...?
Emily took a deep breath and made a phone call to Keith, who was on a business trip abroad.
But it was the secretary who answered, "Ms. DeRoss, Young Master is in a meeting and can't take the call. Please call again in four hours."
Four hours later would be early morning.
She cursed in frustration and hung up the phone.
Nothing seemed to be going well recently. It must be because that bitch Haley had come back, bringing bad luck!
No matter the cost, she would make sure Haley died!
