Chapter 30: Missing and found
Tricia was more excited for the wedding than Monalisa. she was happy that Cynthia was unable to do anything to stop the wedding.
While getting ready with Monalisa, Monalisa requested for a glass of juice which Tricia left to get from the kitchen.
Tricia returned back to the room to find Monalisa missing.
she immediately called out to Monalisa and searched for her.
Tricia hurried downstairs to look for Monalisa.
She came to a halt when it struck her mind that Cynthia must have kidnapped Monalisa.
Tricia quickly searched for Cynthia and found her laughing with Andrea.
Angry with her existence, Tricia grabbed Cynthia by her hair, screaming into her ear to provide Monalisa, accusing her of kidnapping Monalisa.
Andrea requested Tricia to let go of Cynthia and to calm down.
The chaos downstairs got a lot of attention and got Jayden running downstairs to find the two ladies fighting.
Jayden immediately separated them and scolded them for causing chaos.
Tricia immediately informed Jayden that Monalisa is missing and that Cynthia was the one behind her disappearance.
Jayden glared at Cynthia and grabbed her hand.
He requested her to tell the truth before he hurts her.
Cynthia begged him to let her go claiming to have no idea about Monalisa's disappearance.
Andrea suggested that they spread out and look for Monalisa instead of accusing Cynthia.
Jayden and his friends decided to go looking for Monalisa.
Tricia threatened to kill Cynthia if it is discovered she is behind Monalisa's disappearance.
Tricia and Andrea left in search of Monalisa.
it's her wedding day yet she's missing.
Time is running and the guests will soon start arriving and the bride is nowhere to be found.
Jayden stopped and stood still, with on hand on his waist and the other scratched his head.
"Where in the world is she? Could it be that Tricia is right? Did Cynthia actually kidnap Monalisa? I'm going to murder that bitch"
"Bro, I'm tired. I can't keep up with the search. At least tell us, what does she look like. How do I search for a lady I know nothing about. How do I recognise her? Kennedy asked.
"Yes bro. it doesn't make sense. Do you have a picture of her? At least that would help us find her. Show us the picture bro" Ryan suggested.
"I'm not even with my phone. My phone is upstairs in my room. Goodness. Where do I find her?
"Could it be that she ran away? I overheard Cynthia saying your marriage is some sort of Arranged. Maybe she got cold feet and decided to leave" Kennedy commented.
"Shut the fuck up. And stop listening to that piece of trash. My marriage isn't Arranged. it's a love marriage. My woman and I are deeply in love with each other "
"Then what logic explains her disappearance? Ryan asked.
"One logic. Cynthia is behind her disappearance by kidnapping her. That slut dared me that she would go to any length to make sure that this wedding does not hold and she's done that. She's going to see the monstrous side of me."
Jayden angrily left in search of Cynthia.
He found Cynthia sitting at the poolside.
He grabbed her by her neck and dragged up, trying strangle her.
Cynthia hit his hand trying to break free.
Ryan and Kennedy ran in and saw Jayden hurting Cynthia. they both rushed over to Jayden and broke Cynthia off from his grip.
"Don't kill her bro. She might be innocent " Ryan said.
"Innocent my butt. I could swear on the heavens that she is a demon!! Where is Monalisa!!!! where is she!! Jayden's voice thundered scarring Cynthia.
Cynthia took a step back.
"Well ..I...I...I...do... don't...know .." Cynthia stuttered.
"Lies, lies, lies!! You dare look into my eyes and tell me lies!!! Where is my wife!!!
Then a scream came from somewhere.
"That was a scream" Ryan said
"Where did it come from? Jayden asked.
"I don't know. Let's go find out " Kennedy suggested.
Jayden and his friends ran off to find out what was going on.
Sophie stood pale and shocked, with her hands covering her mouth, as she stares at the almost lifeless body of Monalisa lying still on the floor of the closet of her room.
Everyone rushed upstairs to find the terrifying sight.
Tricia was shocked to see her best friend that way.
She rushed over to Monalisa and tried waking her up..
Jayden rushed and was left dumbstruck and shocked with Monalisa's almost lifeless body on the floor.
He bent down and reached out to her.
"She's alive. Monalisa won't leave me. She won't give up so easily. Get the doctor. And no word should go out from here about this, got it? Andrea, take Sophie to her room. William, get the doctor. I'll get Monalisa on the bed. And you Tricia, no crying. Get a hold of yourself"
Jayden lifted Monalisa carefully in his arms and returned back to the bedroom. He gently laid her on the bed and her hand.
Tricia sat beside Monalisa and held her hand.
"Find out who did this. Who was the last person to enter this room after Tricia left to get a glass of juice for her"
"Yes I will. Come Ryan let's go"
Few minutes later, the doctor arrived at the Bruno's Mansion and was taken to Monalisa's room. After a few checkup, he confirmed that Monalisa would be fine and would wake up soon, but needed some rest.
Jayden thanked him and saw him off to the door, while Tricia sat close to her.
Jayden saw Cynthia pacing in the living room and hurried down to her.
"Why are you pacing? Scared that the truth will be out?
"How is she?
"Why? Do you want to finish off what you started"
"I did nothing"
"The CCTV will confirm that"
"Wait"
"Wanna talk?
"It was a mistake "
"What?
"Yes. I had gone into the room to meet her and to talk things out with her. We got into a heated argument and I..."
"And you did what?
"I...I was so angry and let my emotions run wild. I smacked her head with..."
"With what?
"What was close to me"
"And what the fuck was that you bitch!!!
"Fine! Fine! I smacked her head with the flower vase on the table and she dropped on the floor and became unconscious. So I panicked. I wanted to leave her but then...all I wanted was the wedding not to take place so I thought of ...if someone walks in on her there, she will be revived immediately and the wedding would still take place but if I hid her...no one would be able to find her and then...the wedding won't take place. So I hid her in the closet and shut it"
"My goodness, you're evil "
"Yes she is and allow me to deal with her" Tricia rushed over to them and grabbed Cynthia by her hand and bit her, leaving a mark. She grabbed her by her neck and pulled her down and bit her and began to drag Cynthia by her hair.
Jayden decided not to separate them but step back and enjoy the show.
Jayden stopped everyone who came to separate them.
."Let them be. Tricia is doing the right thing by avenging her friends "
The fight ended when Jayden's mother walked in.
Cynthia had bruises all over her body and was kicked out of the Bruno's Mansion.
One of the maids came downstairs to inform everyone that Monalisa has woken up.
Jayden and Tricia ran quickly to the room.
Sophie was already sitting beside her, and both were talking.
Tricia quickly gave her a hug.
"I'm sorry for scaring everyone" Monalisa said
"It's okay. I Knew you wouldn't leave me behind. the wedding must take place" Jayden said.
"Yes" Monalisa smiled at him.
"Very well then. I shall return back to my room and get ready. I wouldn't want to keep my bride waiting"
"Same here. I wouldn't want to keep my groom waiting"
both stared at each other and smiled.
Everyone left the room followed by Jayden who blew a kiss at Monalisa.
Sophie kissed Monalisa's forehead before leaving to get ready.
Tricia and the makeup artist helped Monalisa get ready for her wedding.
Monalisa was looking so stunning in her wedding gown.
"Wow! Tricia, you look sooo beautiful. You almost outshined me"
"Stop flattering me Mona. I'm so happy this wedding is taking place. You do not know how scared I was back there "
"It's okay. That's all in the past. And where is she?
"Mrs Bruno kicked her out of the mansion and banned her from attending the wedding"
"Wow!
"You've got a powerful mother-in-law there and she's got your back. You're really lucky. Your new family really loves you "
"And I'm the luckiest girl to have a tigress like you as a friend and thanks for tearing her apart "
"You can always count on me"
"Thank you Tricia. I love you " Monalisa hugged Tricia.
"I love you too. okay enough of the hugging. You're already making me to tear up. it's time to go meet your husband. Hold on " Tricia rushed to the bed and grabbed the wedding bouquet.
She placed it in Monalisa's hands.
"Now you look more like a bride, soon to be Monalisa Jayden James Bruno. So shall we?
"Yes" Monalisa held her hand.
"Don't forget to spread the love to me too, auntie" Sophie rushed over to Monalisa and gave her a hug. "I'm all ready, to make your path flowery. Let's go. Everyone is waiting for us"
"Let's go"
"Hold on Mona. Your veil. Cover it"
"Help me do it, Tricia"
"Hello ladies. May we go down now? Andrea asked, standing at the door.
"No I won't. Let miss Andrea do it" Tricia suggested.
"Do what?
"Cover her veil. Please"
"Okay I will"
Andrea walked in and grabbed the veil and covered Monalisa's face.
"That's a perfect bride" Andrea complimented her."Now shall we get going?
"Yes"
"Here comes the bride! Sophie said throwing some flower petals up, some landing on Monalisa's body.
Monalisa giggled. "I'm getting married " she mumbled.
