Chapter 79 Epilogue
He couldn't help to smile as he watched his wife sleeping so soundly. She must have been tired of taking care of their child Augustus. Augustus was four months old now and he's so energetic and so adorable. Each and every day with him is a blessing. Until now he couldn't believe that he was a father now. He couldn't help to ask what he did right to deserve such a beautiful gift like Augustus. His smile could ease the weariness and sleepless nights he and his wife had towards taking care of him. His adorable yawn and cries, who would have thought he was his descendant? He never thought he would feel so much gratitude just by staring at him and by cuddling him. He acquired the face and looks of a Williams. He took every inch of him and he's so damn proud about it. He was like the younger version of him except for his brown hair and his beautiful hazel pair of eyes that he got from his beautiful Mom. He never thought that having a child will bring too much bliss in his life. He couldn't help to whisper thanks to God because He gave him such a beautiful life like this. Augustus was like a burst of sunshine in their lives. The mansion became more colorful and happier when he came into their lives. Even his parents were so fascinated with their grandchild. They love cuddling and playing with their grandchild. Oh, how he loves his little child and his wife so much. He could say he was fulfilled as a man now. There is nothing he could ever ask for.
When he found that Bea is carrying his child, he thankful because she's finally carrying his first descendant. Although he never expected it will be sooner, he was somehow grateful. He planned to marry her first before they build a family but having a child earlier was a bonus. Bea was the only woman he ever dreamt to bear his children and he's so glad they had Augustus earlier than expected. They will raise him well. They will protect and guide him from the harm that the world might give him. They will cherish and take good care of him the best way they can. Well, he was planning to have more children in the near future. He actually wants a bunch of children, a happy big family. The feeling of couldn't wait to go home each and every day knowing his wife and child will be waiting for him after work, it's the best feeling ever especially when you got home tired in the office and you will get to see their happy faces glad that you finally came home. This is exactly the same feeling he dreamt of the moment he realized he want to marry Bea.
He couldn't help to paint a happy smile as he look at the beautiful woman now lying beside him in the bed. She's a temptress and an angel all wrapped into one. A precious gem that he valued more than his life. It was just a dream to have her before, now he already has a family with her. He couldn't just believe that his dream finally came true. This time it's forever- until death does them part. He might lost her twice because he's a jerk but what's matters most is she won her again and this time, no one will tear them apart. He will never let anyone break their family again, he promised that.
I have never wanted nor loved any woman as much I love her. She was my happiness, my pride, and my weaknesses. I just can't imagine my life and my future without her...
She was now keeping her communication with her Mom. She finally acknowledged and accepted her mother. They talk things out, forgave her, and decided to start a new beginning with the woman. Bea has a huge heart and he was so proud of her. She seemed happy and content now with the kind of relationship her Mom and Dad have. After all, her parents decided to be friends and be happy in each other's chosen lives. He knew then his wife was so beautiful inside and out. A strong woman with a huge and good heart. She was one of a kind and no one can ever replace her in his heart. Well, he doesn't think he can ever love any woman as much as he loves her in this lifetime.
He could still remember the talk he had with Bea's father before their wedding day. How he told her father how much he loves her daughter. They had a man-to-man talk and he has to admit he had a hard time convincing her father at that time. He could still remember their conversation.
"Are you sure you really wanted to marry my daughter, young man?" Bea's Dad asked him.
He knew that then that he wanted to have a word with him and see if he can convince him on what his true intention to his daughter.
"Are you worried about my intention to your daughter, Sir?" He replied.
"Can you blame me? My daughter decided to marry you all of a sudden and I didn't even know you were dating at all! Then you'll just going to inform everyone that you two are getting married. You can't stop me from worring about my daughter's welfare." The old man angrily told him.
"I love her so much, Sir." He replied with all honesty.
"Make sure if you marry my daughter, you'll treat her like a queen. Treat her like a very precious gem you will treasure and prosper."
"I will, Sir." He stated seriously. Funny because he just looked at him with that contorted face as if he doesn't believe what he said.
"Give me one good reason why I should give my daughter's hand to you?" He demanded. With that, he faced him without blinking an eye.
"She is the only woman I wanna spend the rest of my life with and be the mother of my children. Not only do I want to build a family with her, but I also couldn't imagine my life and future without her. I know words are not enough to show how much I love your daughter. I can only fulfill that through the test of time while we are together. I promise to take good care of her and to make her happy as long as I shall live." He stated solemnly as his eyes straightly looked at the old man with no inhibition.
"My precious daughter was everything to me. I took care of her the moment she came into this world. Protected her from the harm that the world might give her, cherished and gave her everything I could. I love my daughter more than my life, young man. She had been a good child and a good person, and I know she'll be a good wife and a good mother of your children. Let me tell you this young man, I don't wanna see her crying and telling me you had hurt her, you understand?"
"You have my word, Sir. I will never intentionally hurt your daughter nor make her cry. I know words can be easily said but let me prove to you how much I love your daughter as the years go by."
"I'll take your word, for now, young man. She deserves to be happy and be loved. Please make her happy and cherish her more than I did. I am giving you now my blessings but if she ever comes into me telling me she was not happy with you, I'll take her away with you with no hesitations. Do you understand?" The old man's voice broke as his eyes started to water but still tried to keep the seriousness in his tone.
"Your daughter Sir, was the best thing that ever happened to me. Honestly, believe it or not, I can't imagine life without her at my side. I have no inhibitions even just a little when I decided to marry her. I can't promise our marriage will be smooth-sailing, you see there is no such perfect relationship but I will try my best to understand and tolerate her all the time. I'll be her shoulder to cry and to lean on, I'll be her armor protecting her from pain and be her confidante through her weakest point. Like what you've said, she deserves to be happy and be loved. I'm here to give her nothing but the best." He solemnly and confidently promised him.
He only felt relieved when he saw his face softened and he looked at him with a genuine smile as if he finally decided to acknowledge him to be his son-in-law.
"As you've said, prove it and might as well convince me, young man."
"Thank you, Sir." He replied full of gratefulness.
"Call me Dad from now on." His father-in-law stated that put up a thankful smile on his lips then.
The moment they got married, he promised himself he will love her for all eternity. That no matter troubles and challenges will get in their way, he will still choose to stay beside her. That even she ever gave up first, he will never ever do the same. His love for her is immeasurable and loyal, time can probably test to that. He was so grateful for she chose to love him all over again. He just can't help to blink his eyes twice and breathe savagely trying to figure out if it's a dream or not. His heart throbbing and this heart beats only for her. When he caressed her cheek so endearingly, he just couldn't help to admire her beauty each passing day.
I love her so much that I'm willing to give her everything I got and even give up everything in exchange for a life with her and our child. I wanna spend the rest of my life with her and die lying in her arms through my old and weak years.
While continuing caressing her soft cheek, a warm smile drew her lips. She was so adorable even when she was sleeping. He just loves everything about her. It felt so right holding her this way. She was so warm, soft, and tempting while she sleeps. He will never get tired of staring at her for sure. They will get old, yes, but his feelings for her will never change. Funny because he was even afraid to close his eyes and fall asleep having the fear to wake up one morning realizing she was gone and everything was just all a dream. He felt her slightly move and moaned softly from her sleep. Seconds later, her still sleepy eyes suddenly flew open. Seems like she felt someone's watching over her.
He gave her an endearing smile when their gazes locked. He just couldn't help to. Who wouldn't smile at this beautiful woman lying beside him? She was the reason why he want to sleep at night and wake up in the morning. She was the air he breathes and the life he lives. It might be cliché but it's true and that's what he really feels.
"Are you watching me sleep again Thyago?" She asked in her sexy raspy voice that always turn him on.
He never missed the smile that painted her pretty lips while her eyes are half-open. With that, his smile automatically widens more. Actually, it has been a habit to him since they get back together. He couldn't help to watch her sleep. He was still on the brink of asking himself if this beautiful thing is really happening to him? When she told him she wants a divorce, it's like he lost his will to live. It was like heaven was taken away from him and he got so miserable and devastated. She felt shattered at that time. The feeling of he is willing to lose everything but not her. Well, Elena just doesn't know what he was capable of doing if she happen to succeed in breaking their marriage apart.
"I couldn't help to..." He answered.
"How many times do I have to tell you that this is not a dream. It's real, we're together now and we will stay together as years go by. We're family and family stays together no matter what." Her eyes are now wide open and now looking straight at him so lovingly.
"I love you..." He stated emotionally.
"And you know I love you too." She responded smiling.
"I love you more. Don't leave me again." He started. It was not a request it's more like a plead.
"Never! I will never do that same mistake again. I will never let anyone intrude on our lives and break our marriage again. This time I'll be stronger. I'll fight for you if I have to. I promise you that.." She assured him.
"You're the best thing that ever happened to me..." He doesn't know if words are enough for him to believe her but he doesn't want to miss every opportunity to tell her even a single word of all the things he feels about her.
"And I thanked God He gave you to me. I couldn't imagine my future without you." He added.
"I love you Thyago..." She replied emotionally. He was about to kiss her lips passionately but his adorable wife suddenly yawned sleepily that made him stop to do his attempts.
"Let's sleep more, please... It's just four in the morning yet, hubby... " She whined that made him laugh.
With that, he gently pulled her closer and let her sleep in his chest. He closes his eyes as well to get some sleep too knowing he'll wake up having her in his arms still, knowing their future will start with each and every passing day waking up in each other's arms. This is exactly the same life he dreamt and he prayed to God that He will guide and protect their family until the end.
Our story went too far. It was never smooth-sailing. I've done a lot of mistakes. I hurt her too many times and I'm grateful she still chose to accept me. I might went too far to have her, I even play dirty to the point of blackmailing her to marry me but she forgave and chose to accept me still. She was an amazing woman. She shines like the sun and glows as the moon in the darkness. She brought light in my dark and dreary life. I could even trade my life just to make her happy if I have to. God is too good because He still finds a way to bring us together. This time, we will be stronger and unyielding than before. Even drought might come our way, I know we will get through them all as long as our love was true and loyal.
I never wanted so much in my life, just her and our child. I'll cherish and protect this marriage. I won't let anyone or such situations that will tear us apart again. I'll serve as her safe haven protecting her from pain. I'll fight for her and this family. I'll protect this love, I'll protect this family.
