Chapter 77 Reconcilliation
"I'm sorry for not believing you. I'm sorry I gave up easily. I'm sorry I left and hurt you. I'm so so sorry..." She cried.
"Shshhh.... please hush, baby? You know I hate seeing you cry. It's killing me seeing you like this. What can I do to make you stop from crying?" He whispered to her ears as he continue his gentle caress on her back.
"I read the diary and I've seen those notes including the messages you wrote. Why did you keep that diary? Why didn't you confess your feelings to me before?"
She loosened her hold onto him and faced him. She saw him gape in surprise as his face suddenly flushed as if he got embarrassed to learn that she read the messages he wrote.
For a moment, a feeling of shame and hesitations fought in his eyes before he started to speak. She wanted to smile through the looks of his husband's face now. Seeing him flushing and looking embarrassed made her want to smile but she just forced herself to not show it because it might give him a wrong idea or make him feel insulted and that's the thing she doesn't want to happen.
"Why do you have that diary?" He asked.
"Duh? That's my diary, remember?" She knew what he was trying to ask, she was just buying some time if she would tell him his Mom gave it to her.
"I think I should be the one to ask why did you kept my diary?" She throws him the question.
"I kept it, yes. But the last time I checked, I still have your diary. What I mean is how did you get it?" He queried looking a bit uneasy.
"Your Mom gave it to me..." She then decided to tell him.
A long silence occurred between them and she felt his doubts and hesitations. She wants explanations from him. She wanna hear him confess and tell her honestly that he wrote those messages for her. She wanted to know right from his mouth the confirmation that those written messages are true and he meant them.
What now? Will he admit it or deny it?
"Tell me Thyago, why did you kept my diary?" She repeated her question.
He was caught off guard and his lovely husband looked so embarrassed for he was now staring at her looking red as a tomato.
"And those notes and written messages, did you write them? Are those true?" She asked bravely.
"Yes, I wrote them." He finally admitted. Indeed her heart rejoiced and reveled in too much happiness after hearing that.
"When you left the town eight years ago, you took something from me and I never became the same person again. You did not only take my heart Bea, but you also took my happiness and my reason to live and that was you. Yes, I indeed had loved you from the very start. It's just so bad that I realized it when you're already gone and I already lose you." He explained sadly.
Once again her heart did some somersault and it felt so damn good. Why does she feel she was floating in cloud nine right now?
"T-Thyago..."
"I know I was a coward but believe me when I lose you, I felt devastated and miserable. God knows how I regretted hurting you." He tossed his hair out of uneasiness. He seemed having a hard time and she find him so cute and adorable.
Why does her heart revel in happiness seeing him turned uneasy towards confessing his feelings in the past? It's not like he never told her that he love her already. Perhaps, he was just afraid she will never believe him again. But still, she was rejoicing seeing him trying to convince her hoping so bad she will believe him.
"You searched for me? I read in your notes that you asked Hannah where I should be found? Is it true you searched and wanted to talk to me that time?"
"Yes, I wanted to apologize and confess my feelings to you hoping I to find you but I never did. Hannah never told me where you are. I hate that friend of yours sometimes..." He frustratingly stated that made her smile.
"I remembered her telling me you were asking for me years ago. I think that was my freshman year in college. I told her not to give any single information on where I am. You see I'm mad at you that time and I wanted to move on." She explained.
"My life turned into a mess after you left, you know that? My life turned empty and had no direction since then. I don't know, I just felt so devastated when you're gone and the next thing I knew, my life became meaningless. I failed in my studies and my parents started to get worried. And then Dad talked to me, I honestly told him about you. He told me to fix my life to be worthy of you. I realized he has a point. I mean, how can I face you when my life was messed up. I took his advice, I focus on my studies, and finished college with flying colors. In those years, heaven knows, I have never forgotten you. You always come in my head, my heart still badly ache for you." She stared deep into his eyes as she listen to his words and by looking at those adorable blue pools of him, she knew he was telling the truth. Her heart just recognized and felt it.
"And then I started to hold a position in our company. Had gained success and achievements but still, I felt empty and alone and I know it was you who can fill that gap in my heart. My heart still longed for you, Bea. It's not just about my guilty conscience who wanted to apologize but a love that will never fade even the years will go by."
"I hired a private investigator to search for you and when I finally found you, I became your stalker. I follow your career and I was celebrating every achievement you make. I pulled some strings to be close to you and then I had this brilliant idea by offering you a business you have no chance to decline. I tried to woe and seduced you even knowing you have a boyfriend. That was actually my plan, to steal you from that bastard and I'm glad I succeeded. I took advantage of the bankruptcy of your firm and plan to save it in exchange to marry me. You see I even came to a point where I manipulated and forced you to marry me. And then the rest is history."
Yes, she could clearly remember the last part where he manipulated her and forced her to marry him. So that means, everything was clearly planned by him. Is he that desperate to do all those stuff just to have her? This man is foolishly head over heels in love with her. Why did she ever doubt his love anyway?
She heard him pull out a frustrated sigh then and that gesture melted her heart.
"And when you left from the mansion telling me you want our marriage to be over, how I wished to die at the moment. You left for the second time because I hurt you again. It feels like history repeating itself and it damn so painful than the previous one."
"T-Thyago..." The only word she managed to say. She felt her eyes water again seeing him like this.
"You see, I did everything just to have you, Bea. Please never doubt my love for you because I love you so much more than I value my own life."
Oh, this sweet husband of mine...
"When you saw Elena and me in the office, I swear I didn't know she was kissing me. I was unconscious that time and---"
She never let him continue his words. She just immediately kissed his lips to shut him from talking. She no longer wanna hear about what happened and is not even interested to know about it anymore. She trusts and loves him more now, that's why matters the most. She felt him got stunned at first but that was just for a moment, he responded and deepened their kiss afterward.
"I believed you now. I'm sorry I doubted your love. I'm sorry I never listened to you and I easily gave up on our marriage. I swear I didn't know until I read the diary and found your notes there." Tears are now streaming her face again. Damn, why she couldn't stop these pesky tears from falling every time.
"No, it was my fault. Hey, stop crying. You're starting to make me worried, baby." He genuinely commented.
"I never thought Elena has this vicious plan of breaking our marriage apart. I should have wrung that bitch's neck for jeopardizing our marriage. You do not need to worry about her, I have already gotten rid of her. Rest assured she will never jeopardize our lives again or else she will have to deal with my wrath." Her husband's face turned dark when she joined Elena in their conversation.
Now she knows how she stands in Thyago's heart. Elena can never beat her in her husband's heart so she caressed his face and give him a peck on the lips.
"Stop including Elena in our conversation. Can we start all over again? With Augustus, our child? " She gathered all her strength to say those words.
She saw him still stunned and didn't move like a statue. When realization struck him, he immediately scooped her in a swift motion and claimed her lips for a passionate kiss. She willingly kissed him back with equal fervor and passion.
"Thank you! Thank you for giving me a second chance. Promise you will never regret it and I'll make you happy until my last breath."
"Yes, We will start together with a new life with our baby and I promised to trust and have faith in you this time. I will never doubt your love from now on and this time I will never let anyone break our marriage apart. I will fight for you and our family Thyago..." She replied wholeheartedly.
"I love you so much...." He immediately pulled her and wrapped his arms around her for a tight embrace.
"I love you too Thyago..." She responded full of happiness.
"Thank you for not giving up even when I did. Thank you for your enduring and indestructible love..." With that, he immediately claimed her lips again and gave her an earth-shattering kiss. The kiss lasted for a long moment and they were both panting when they decided to stop.
"How's our baby?" She asked when she suddenly remembered their child.
She remembers again the moment when she heard the first cry of her baby after her delivery. It was like a sweet harmony in her ears. How her happy tears sprung in her eyes with too much joy before darkness engulf her to sleep.
"He was a healthy kid. God, he was so beautiful. He got your beautiful hazel eyes." He stated dreamily.
"I'm excited to see him and cuddle him." She couldn't help to utter in excitement.
"Wait till the nurse bring him here. You named him Augustus?" Thyago then asked her. She remembers telling her father to name their son Augustus.
"Yes, I named him after your grandfather." She replied with a warm smile in her place.
"Thank you so much wifey. Mom and Dad will be happy if they found out. I called them already and they might be on the Newborn nursery room watching over our baby..." Thyago happily stated.
She was glad they finally made up. They will start a new life together with their child and this time, she knew it was forever. No one can tear them apart from now on. As long as their love is pure and they trust and love each other, nothing could break them apart again. She was so sure of that...
