Chapter 61 Baby Boy
"Good morning lovebirds! Come on breakfast is being served!" Her mother-in-law cheerfully greeted them when she saw them descending the stairs that morning.
They went towards the dining area and followed the old woman. Thyago pulled a seat for her and let her be seated first before he seated beside her. She couldn't help to give her husband a sweet smile. He's always like that all the time, being extra attentive and always thinking of her welfare. So sweet and gentleman. Damn, she can't help to fall in love more with him.
"Good morning Ma, Dad." She greeted her in-laws. Thyago then greeted his parents too.
"Thyago, feed your wife." The old woman stated like a command that made her smile.
Thyago then oblige and put some different food on her plate. Her eyes went wide because he almost filled the plate with food.
"That's too much food!" She argues.
"You and the baby need to eat a lot of food, baby." He replied sweetly.
"I have a diet plan instructed by my Obstetrician and I need to follow that." She insisted.
As much as she wanted to eat all of the food that her husband gave her, she really needs to be careful about the sake of their baby but she does appreciate the sweet gesture of her husband though.
"Is that so?" He replied with a curious look on his face.
"Today's your schedule for a prenatal check-up together with your ultrasound right child?" The old woman reminded her.
Her mother-in-law promised to accompany her with her prenatal check-up on her Obstetrician-gynecologist and she was excited as well.
"I'll go with you, wifey," Thyago stated with a tinge of excitement in his voice.
"You need to go to the office. You don't have to accompany me besides, Mama is there to accompany me. She offered to help me with my prenatal checkup today. right, Mama?" She asked and approval from her mother-in-law.
"Yeah, don't worry about your wife, son. I'll take good care of her." Her mother-in-law replied teasingly.
"Thanks, Mom but I wanna accompany my wife as well," Thyago said appreciatively but insisted his opinion still.
"Don't you have something important to do in the office?" She curiously asked Thyago.
"I do but-- "
"You need to go to the office. You're running a big company, remember?" She said smiling. Why her husband is so clingy but damn, she likes it so much.
"What time is your schedule for a check-up again?" Her mother-in-law suddenly asked.
"I need to drop by at the Firm first to sign some paper works, Mama. Is that okay with you?" She replied.
"That's fine I'll meet an old friend on the near jewelry shop she owned around eight a.m. You want me to pick you up at ten?" The old woman then asked.
"Yes, that would be fine with me, Mama." She gratefully replied.
"By the way baby, I had this business investor whose wife wanted to refurnish their newly bought house. I met Mr. Stanford's wife during a party of a business colleague together with his husband. I recommended and proudly bragged your achievements, of course." Thyago said that took her attention all of a sudden.
"So you're promoting my Firm to your business partners uh?" She grinned.
See how very supportive and proud he was to her? Why does this man never stop pleasing and making her smile?
"Your Firm is expanding and I would love to recommend some big clients. You were good and I love your work. Remember you used to be the Main Interior designer of the hotel project in Texas?"
"Well, thanks for the vote of confidence, hubby." She replied.
He's right, her firm is now expanding with his help of course. He made his promise and it's kinda weird that's she no longer feels insulted or feels bad every time he proposes his help. After learning his feelings for her, it never crossed in her mind again that he only bought her to marry her. He love her so much the reason he did that manipulation. She just misinterpreted him she was glad he told her his reasons. Things are working well between them now. She was currently working now on the expansion of her firm and she was so glad and excited about this achievement. He suggested to built another firm around the South and he proposed to her his ideas last night after their hot and steamy lovemaking. Thyago is making her dream possible and she was loving him more not because he was powerful and wealthy to make all these things happen but because his love for her was too much he's willing to do anything to make her happy. This is not about the wealth and success he can offer her it's his love and his ways that made her deeply fall in love with him more.
"Expect her to call your office one of these days." He stated then feed her a sliced banana using his fork.
She gladly ate it then suddenly felt shy when she saw the old couple silently watching them over with a warm smile on their faces.
"What's her name again? I'll keep Liz posted about it." She continued not minding the flushing of her cheeks.
"Erlinda Stanford. She's the wife of the President and CEO of Stanford Construction firm." She got stunned for a moment hearing the prospect client's name.
"Her name sounds familiar." She commented.
Thyago's eyes then suddenly jerked his eyes away from her. She doesn't understand but something different and weird she noticed with the look of her husband's eyes after hearing him what she commented. It was deep and meaningful and it's kinda funny because something crossed in her mind it's as if he's hiding something from her. Well, it was just instinct and she has no basis. Maybe she was just overthinking, she thought and immediately shed off that thinking and continued eating then.
After taking some updates on the daily operations of the Firm and signing some paper works, she leave the office when her mother-in-law came to pick her up, and together they went to her doctor for her prenatal check-up.
The check-up lasted for almost an hour. According to her doctor, the baby is healthy in her womb. She instructed her to strictly follow the diet plan the doctor made for her and take some light exercises like walking and simple house chores. She was also told to not forget to take her vitamins and avoid stressing herself.
On her ultrasound session, she got amazed when they finally learned the gender of the baby. The doctor said it's a baby boy. She showed her the actual footage of the baby in her womb. She felt her world suddenly cease to exist as happy tears fell on her cheeks seeing her baby on the monitor.
A few moments later, the baby move a bit on the screen and she felt it right through her stomach. It's like her baby is showing her existence making her feel that he was aware she is watching him. She couldn't believe the joy and bliss she felt at the moment. She suddenly wished that Thyago was with her to witness how adorable and cute their baby was. It's kinda amazing that inside her womb is a little creature that she was about to give life to. She was excited to finally hold him in her arms. Her baby, the fulfillment of her being a complete woman. Oh, she would risk her life just to deliver him into this world.
Her mother-in-law was glad too after finding that her grandchild is a boy. All along she thought she will be disappointed because she remember her commenting that it was a baby girl when she complimented the glowing of her skin. She even thought she was wishing or expecting a baby girl.
"I was wrong when I thought my grandchild was a girl but I was more happier after finding he was a boy. Your son will be the future successor of the Williams and Gonzales wealth. I can't wait to tell your father-in-law about the good news." She happily commented.
"I'm excited to tell Thyago about it also, Mama." She replied smiling.
"Your husband will surely be proud and happy." The old woman warmly stated.
They decided to go to the bakeshop after her prenatal check-up. She told her mother-in-law that she wanted to eat chocolate and something sweet so the old woman obliged and brought her to the first bakeshop they saw along the way. She was not usually fond of something sweet before but with her condition now, she would do anything and be willing to go anywhere just to eat something sweet and delicious. She ordered pistachio cake and a chocolate mouse together with a chocolate pancake covered with strawberry syrup. She gladly ate all those food like there's no tomorrow until her heart's content. Her mother-in-law was just smiling and looking amused with her appetite.
"Aunt Sofia? Oh, I knew then it's you!" A woman's voice took their attention and suddenly came into their table. When she saw the lady, her face automatically turned contorted when she recognized it was nothing but Elena.
This could have been a good bonding with her mother in law but seeing Elena entering the scene suddenly lose her appetite to eat. She smiled awkwardly as her cousin pulled out a chair and seated on their table.
What an unfortunate and disgusting situation!!!
