Chapter 19: Psycho Alert

“Gund… Gunderson? What the hell is going on?” Jay groaned as he sat up in the chair he was tied to. He blinked a couple of times, trying to get his bearings. Where was he? What happened? The last thing he could remember was leaving work and hearing something from behind the bar.

“Oh, my dear Jay, you are here for me to break you of your ‘sickness’. For you to see how much better I am versus that stupid twink. Now, let's have some fun.” There is a cringy seductive smirk on her heavy make-up caked face that makes Jay lean as far away from her as he can, not wanting her to lay a finger on him.

“Just let me go Britney. I won’t even file charges. We can just pretend this was all just one bad dream. Please just let me go and don’t touch me.” Jay said, pleading green eyes staring into smug brown ones.

“Sorry, I can’t do that Jay. I have waited too long to have you all to myself.” The door behind her opened, letting in a faint yellow glow, as a skinny blonde man walked into the room. Coming to stand behind her.

“You have him. Now what are you going to do?” The mysterious man asks, arms crossed, glaring down at the surprised brunette. The hatred in the man's gaze was making Jay fidget in his bindings, trying to loosen them. Gunderson groaned, turning around to look at the intruder.

“I am going to do what I want. You will have your reward when I’m done, don’t worry.” Her voice started out firm before slowly turning seductive as she strutted over to him. Rubbing her hands up his chest to grab his neck, a flirtatious smirk on her face. The unknown man relaxes under her touch, his eyes filling with desire.

Jay gags at the display closing his eyes, wishing that this is all just some horrible nightmare, and he will wake up next to Danial any minute. Sadly, when he opens his eyes again, he isn’t next to his lover, but still tied up in a foreign place, with two disturbed people who were now making out in front of him. ‘Gross.’

He let out an awkward cough when Gunderson started to moan into the kiss. ‘Oh God please get me out of here.’ Jay thought as they pulled apart, the unfamiliar man glaring at him as Gunderson turned to grin at him.

“You can leave Cody. I will let you know when I need you again, thank you.” She says, not turning to look at the glowering blonde behind her. He grumbled a few curses as he walked out of the room, slamming the door behind him. “Forgive him, baby, he doesn’t approve of me taking you when I clearly have him, but he isn’t you.” The brunette flirts, fluttering her fake eyelashes, a disgusting grin once again on her face.

Jay tries to lean away from her when she straddles his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck, running her fingers through his brown curls. He tries to buck her off, which unfortunately doesn’t work. Gunderson frowns at his behavior, glaring at him.

“Are you trying to get me off of you?!” She says, getting in his face, roughly gripping the back of his hair and yanking his head back as she stands up. Disapproval written all over her face.

“Of course, I am! I don’t want you anywhere near me!” Jay’s words were obvious, but they still shocked the disturbed brunette. Gunderson looked at him, flabbergasted that he would want her to leave after they had just been reunited.

“I did this all for you! You unappreciative faggot! Do you have any idea what I had to do to get Cody to agree to bring you to me?!” She walks away from him, her long manicured hands gripping her brown locks as she paces in front of the surprised brunette.

“You are holding me against my will! Of course, I don’t want to be here!” Jay said, eyebrows frowned in hostility as his eyes met hers. Gunderson starts seething at him, walking up to him, coming face to face with the glaring brunette.

“Don’t say such horrible things, Jay. It could be bad for your health. You will see that I am the only one for you and you will come to love me more.” They continued to glare viciously at each other for a few more seconds before Gunderson pulled back, crossing her arms. With one more smug smile, acting like she didn’t just threaten him, she gives him a kiss on the cheek before walking out of the room, locking the door behind her.

Jay groans as he tries once again to loosen his bindings. After what feels like forever, he lets out an annoyed huff, giving up for the time being. ‘I need to find a way to get out of here. I wonder if Danny is looking for me yet. I think I dropped my satchel on the ground when Cody took me.’ He thinks, before realizing that Danial’s engagement ring was in there, because he didn’t want to leave it lying around the apartment for the toned blonde to find. ‘Oh fuck. I hope he doesn’t open the box.’ Was all he could think as he leaned back in the chair, trying to find a comfortable position. The brunette’s last thought before slipping into a nightmare filled sleep was wondering how long he had been gone for and how long it will be before he can see his soulmate again.

~With Danial~

It had only been a day since Jay had been kidnapped and Danial was already losing his fucking mind with worry. He could feel something was very wrong and that Jay was in danger, but he didn’t know where he was.

Danial was sitting in the police station with Edward and Skyler as they filed the missing persons paperwork and told the cops everything, they knew about Jay’s stalker. But all the anxious blondes could focus on was the ugly yellow messenger bag in his lap. He hadn’t gone through it yet, fearing that that would mean his lover was really gone and he would never see him again.

“Danial Bennett was the one who realized there was something wrong and called me as soon as he noticed it. I was sitting in my office at The Beyond Bar and Grill, working, when I got the call. Then I went out into my establishment and looked around for Skyler Erikson to see if he knew where Jay Fuqua was or had seen him.” Edward said, sitting with Skyler at one of the officer's desks, as Officer Lewis wrote everything down. Danial was sitting in a chair beside the desk, facing the cop.

“Yes, I told Edward Heaps that Jay Fuqua had just left a couple of minutes ago and I hadn’t seen him since. He talked to Danial Bennett over the phone, telling him what I had told him. That was when Danial Bennett hung up after telling us he was on his way to the bar. We, Edward Heaps and I, went outside to look around, when we noticed Jay Fuqua’s yellow messenger bag was stuck between two of The Beyond Bar and Grill dumpsters. We had just picked up the bag and walked around to the front of the building when Danial Bennett pulled up and ran over to us, stopping when he saw what I, Skyler Erikson, was holding. That was before Edward Heaps called the police, after we came down here.” Skyler said, very polite and formal, sparing a few glances at the zoned-out blonde. Not knowing what to say to help him. Skyler was too, very concerned about his best friend's disappearance and hoped for the best, but worried the worst would come to pass.

Officer Lewis finished writing everything down, and stopped the recording, looking up at Danial. His brown eyes hold sympathy for the distressed blonde. He turned back to the other two, folding his hands over his desk.

“Since we have something to go on, and you told me who you believe is responsible and has had issues with Fuqua in the past. We will start there and keep you notified about any new developments.” Danial finally looks up from Jay’s bag, to meet Lewis’s eyes.

“Do you need me to give you his bag, or can I take it home with me?” He asks, his voice having a serious edge to it, hands gripping tightly to the bag subconsciously. The Officer gave him a compassionate smile before shaking his head.

“We already looked through it and there was nothing in there that could help us. We also already went through his phone and didn’t find anything. If you think of anything or find anything, please give me a call or come back.” Lewis says, standing up from his desk, Edward and Skyler follow him. Danial slightly nods, standing up with everyone else. The worried blonde follows the trio to the front of the station, where the officer gives them each his card to be able to reach him if they need to. With that, he goes back into the station. Leaving the three to decide what they should do next.

“Danial, do you want us to drive you home?” Edward asks, looking over at the blonde who was once again staring into space. Pain and despair written all over his usually sharp confident features.

“No, it’s fine. I drove my car here. Let me know if you hear anything, and I’ll do the same.” With that, Danial walked down the sidewalk to his car. Edward and Skyler shared one more anxious look before heading on their way.

That night was the most painful, agonizing night of Danial’s life. Jay and he had been living together for almost five months and now lying in their bed, without him, Danial felt more alone than he has in his entire life.

He laid in bed for what felt like an entirety before he finally got up and stomped into the kitchen to have a drink. Noticing Jay’s untouched bag on the counter.

The tired blonde stood there, a glass of whiskey in his hand, as he stared at it. Wondering if he should finally look through it.

With a menacing glare and a growl rumbling deep in his throat, he downed the rest of his glass, slamming it down on the counter, nearly shattering it. Danial couldn’t get out of his head that something was missing, Jay, and it was driving him insane. He walked over to the bag, bracing his arms on either side of it. A deeply afflicted look in his mournful storm-blue eyes, his mouth pulled tight in a painful frown.

One of his slender hands moved to pull back the flap on the bag, but before he could move it all the way back, his hand stilled. Danial had never gone through Jay’s bag before. He never needed too, and doing it now, made him feel like this was final. That he would never see the love of his life again.

Danial pushed himself off the counter and got another glass of whisky, stomping into the living room. Slumping down onto the couch, throwing his head back to stare at the ceiling. Only one thought on his mind, getting his Deku back and beating the shit out of whoever took him.

With a malicious growl, Danial promised himself then and there to never give up looking for Jay, and to put every effort he could into finding him, no matter what.
