I had a surprised planned for Jojo this weekend. Everything the past few weeks was so serious I wanted to do something that can put a smile on her face and let us just forget about everything in our lives and enjoy ourselves. Saturday morning I woke her at 7 am. “Hi angel you need to get up.” “It’s weekend.” “I know but we have plans.” “What plans? You haven’t said anything about plans?” “I did not because it is a surprised.” She looked up at me, I said the magic word Surprise. “A surprise?” “Yes, come let’s get you in the shower.” I was already showered and ready to go. “We wearing shorts?” She asked me looking at what I was wearing. “I am and I would suggest you wear something very comfortable as well.” “Where are we going?” “Surprise Jojo, surprise.” “Okay okay.” While she finished up in the bathroom, I went to make us some breakfast she’s going to need all her energy and more. When I heard her footsteps, I started with the eggs. “Now will you tell me where we are going?” “Nope still a surprise.” “Well, am I dressed appropriately?” She asked me standing in her jeans shorts and a T-shirt with some sneakers. “Are those comfortable?” I asked pointing at her shoes. “Yes why?” “Because we are going to walk a lot.” “I’ll be fine in these.” “Okay sit breakfast is ready.” I put her plate in front of her with a cup of tea. “Here you go angel.” “Thanks.” She said smiling up at me. We didn’t talk much while we had breakfast I was to excited to leave. I just wanted both of us to get done with breakfast so we could leave. She just put the last piece of toast in her mouth when I took away her plate. “Are you done?” She took a sip of her tea. “Apparently I need to be.” She smiled at me. “Clearly someone is excited.” “I am now come on just grab a jacket to take with.” “Why?” “Just do it angel.” I grabbed mine and she took a denim jacket out of the walk-in closet. I checked the weather and there wasn’t any rain forecast so a normal jacket will be fine. I told myself.
We got in the lift and drove down to the underground parking. “You ready for a day full of magic?” I asked her giving her the fist clue. She looked at me weird “I think so.” “Good.” Clearly that was way to suttle. I open the SUV’s door for her and waited till she was buckled in before I closed the door. I jumped in in the driver said put the car in drive and off we went. Jojo was looking out the window as we drove at least, she’s new in Orlando and doesn’t know where we are going. When I reached the boards that said Welmcome to Disney she looked at me “No?” She asked smiling from ear to ear. “Yes.” I said. “You are not serious?” “I am and we are spending the whole day in Magic Kingdom today.” “Oh my gosh Coop this is the best surprise ever.” “I thought we both needed something that is light and not so serious, the last few weeks was just too much, and we both need to let go.” “I couldn’t agree more.” I found a parking grabbed my backpack out of the boot and took both our jackets and put them in the bag, I was definitely not walking back to the car when we start to get cold later tonight.
Jojo was like a kid as we walked to the entrance she wasn’t really walking more running, like she wanted to get there before anyone else. “Hey slow down.” “I can’t.” She said smiling. I’ll bring her to Disney every single day if that is how she smiles. We got to the entrance paid and moved through the gates. Immediately you could smell all kinds of foods and sweets. We walked to stand in the middle of the path and there in the distance was the castle, Jojo just stood there and stared. “This is wonderful Coop, thank you so much.” “They day just started you can’t thank me yet.” “I’m thanking you in case I forget to thank you later.” I pulled her to me and gave her a kiss on the cheek. “It’s a pleasure now shall we walk and go and look for a ride?” “Oh yes please.”

I couldn’t believe Coop brought me to Magic Kingdom, from all the surprises he could have done this was probable the last thing I thought he would do. Was I happy about it? Ecstatic. I was last here when I was a child, I think this was the only good memory I had with my parents I could eat whatever I wanted, although I did suffer for the next few days with tummy aches and vomiting from too many sweets but that was also a lesson from my mother, sweets make you sick. We spend the whole day in Magic Kingdom we stopped at every spot there was a photographer and took our photo we were acting like we didn’t live in Orlando, but where tourist and I loved it. When the photographer told us to hold a non-existing Tinkerbell, Coop didn’t say no he just did as the photographer said, it was amazing, with every passing second, I fell more and more in love with him. We did as many rides as we could, the Alladin carpet, It’s a small world, Buzz, The run-away train, Space mountain, you name it we did it and I loved it, I’ve never laughed so much in my life and I must say I like this Jojo more than the serious one. Coop was also being silly not taking everything to serious we even took photos with some of the characters. We ate Hot dogs, strawberries covered in chocolate, Mickey Mouse apples it was amazing and we waited for the fireworks before we even thought of going home. It was the perfect day just want both of us needed. When we walked back to the SUV I held onto his arm. “Thanks Coop that was exactly what I needed.” “I’m very happy to hear that.” “Did you enjoy yourself?” “Angel when I’m with you, I enjoy everything.” He stopped in the middle of the road took my cheeks in his hand and kissed me, he devoured me and I loved every minute.
