Chapter 27 ATTACK AND SEIZE

Chapter 27 ATTACK AND SEIZE

VANCE'S POV

The five elite candidates came over to join my team. Each official team consisted of ten persons. I wanted the candidates under the supervision of my gamma and myself so that after the battle their final assessment would be based on firsthand observation. We moved out in the dark with our werewolf vision activated. Few stars could be seen in the night sky. By now everyone knew their positions, the measures, and combat formation to infiltrate and attack. The elite trackers were awaiting us on the compound in Eastwood. It was an old mansion that Hank had acquired from his gains in underhand dealings.
The surrounding was filled with the tune of the night, including crickets chirping and owls cooing, thanks to the moon's soothing radiance. Our troops surrounded the premises. Some were hidden in trees, other buildings nearby, lying on the ground behind shrubs and other stakeout positions.
A few of his guards patrolled every ten minutes. We knew they would change shift soon and waited for that to conclude. Elite men snuck up from behind these guards at the opportune time, twisted their necks, and undressed them to exchange clothes as a perfect camouflage, while another dragged the dead bodies away. They quickly changed into the rogues' attire to pass off themselves as a part of the illicit group.
As soon as that was done, Blayne signaled for his team to enter the abode through the windows and from the roof using ropes to channel down the sides of the mansion. Some areas in the mansion were dark while others had lights on.
They surreptitiously swept through the house and overcame the men with their combat skills in the dark. So far, there was no need for bombs or the use of our guns. They were trained to be silent sweepers, to take out the enemy so that by the time they realized that they were being attacked, it was too late.
These rogues seemed to not be very militant and lacked much awareness on how to guard. Either that or my men were too good at what they do with me being a perfectionist.
Blayne's team, being the first to go in, checked the basement. Elite tracker Chad's team took the second floor while elite tracker Liam's team surveil the outdoors. My team and I went to the top floor.
The deputy rogue was located in a room with the lights on, fucking a woman on the top floor. The noises of slapping and moaning that filled the hallway drowned out the low television that was playing in the room. Curtis stealthily turned the door handle and cracked the door slightly open. Wade and Levi guarded the hallway. On the count of three, I gave the all-clear for the four of us to rush in.
He had her in the missionary position, working his way inside of her. The woman screamed when she saw us, and flung the deputy rogue, Jerome, to the side of the bed and sat upright. Scared as a mouse, she grabbed the sheet and covered her trembling naked figure, watching us spread out in the room with guns aimed at them.
Then she clumsily slid from the bed to get away from Jerome. In the face of death, Jerome erupted in a crackled mania. Then he accumulated some spit in his mouth and spat it towards me. Such imprudence showed that he was ready to die, but not on my watch, he won't get death so easily.
"Kill her," Curtis was the closest, so he put the bullet in her forehead on my command through the mind-link. She fell backward to the floor, blood flowing from the wound and eyes bulging. Jerome's smile vanished as the anguish of losing her set in as a result of this action. "Seize him."
Jerome charged at Phillip as he approached the bed with his claws, but Phillip dodged as he leaped to the left to avoid contact. In a split second, Phillip turned to face Jerome and struck him in the back of the neck with his fist, knocking him out cold.
Malik crouched to use the silver cuffs to restrain his hands from behind, while Phillip injected the rogue deputy with wolfsbane to weaken and obstruct him from shifting into his wolf. Curtis assisted to lift the rogue over Malik's shoulder. Wade and Levi gave us the all-clear to re-enter the hallway. We used the guns to put down all other wolves that came upon us.
Most of the rogues were killed in combat and we got the deputy for questioning. Meeting the Gamma's team in the living room space, Blayne revived Jerome and busted him up until he eventually gave us Hank's location. A dose of injected silver sent him unconscious again.
I alerted Donald's elite team and they headed off across the city. Our men searched the house and our weapons were found in a dark room further down in the basement. Blayne showed us the way. There was a secret vault that was discovered with jewels and cash, plus other rooms of more weapons enough to support an army. Stocks of drugs packaged neatly in crates were discovered in a room.
Daybreak had reached us and on the first floor, we found a study with a whiteboard where they plotted their plans with drafts. I saw where they had done past attacks and where their next attack would be. Eventually, they planned to sell more of my weapons to the mafia to form alliances. This guy was trying to bury me deep into dirty work that I would never affiliate myself.
No mafia is allowed in my region. I don't support the use or abuse of drugs. This wasn't just about my reputation, it is the fact that other packs would see me as a new enemy. Someone to be dethroned. While I am not afraid to go against anyone who challenged me or my pack, I hated to see my people die, I don't wage unnecessary war. 2
Hank was uprooting the balance of a peaceful life for our kind. He wanted us to turn against each other, and he was doing it moderately. He started with my brother. It was good for us to discover his actions before they escalated for the worst.
"We are infiltrating the premises now, Alpha." Donald's fast report made me smirk in satisfaction through the link. "Do whatever it takes to seize Hank. No one else matters." I finalized.

(Third Person POV)
A private property was concealed in the forest in the city's northern section. Tall trees covered the location, making it less visible to onlookers, and it was gated off by enormous barriers.
A white adhesive two-story home was located inside the land. There was more to it than what the eye would initially perceive, many would assume a quiet family lived there.
Hank was hiding out underground at the time, and the house served as the entrance. The confiscated weapons were stored in one of the modern cellars and were tightly guarded by the rogue chief underlings.
A woman stood in one of the rooms on the second floor in front of a dresser, wearing a silk white robe while looking at her reflection in the mirror. She looked dashing with her auburn hair tied up in a braid and her makeup was professionally done. She was probably one of Hank's bed mistresses.
They arrived at the hideout at noon and the rogue chief and his men were too excited in their leisure time which gave Donald the opportunity to send attack messages to the rest of the troop.
"Confirming that Hank is here" he reported to Vance when he had the chance to sneak into an empty room. Some men were in the rec room playing poker and pool, drinking whiskey.
Donald focused inside the room, moved out of the shadows, and executed his mission. It was not easy to infiltrate Hank's lair. The pack warriors had to destroy the installed CCTV cameras outside the gigantic foyer. After that, the team waited for someone to unlock the threshold. They didn't wait long for someone promptly went out to check the cameras and was hastily ambushed and beaten down by the awaiting warriors.
The rest of the pack warriors stepped out of the thick shrubs. "Penetrate the hideout and kill those who show resistance," was the Alpha's decree in a full authority voice through the mind-linked.
The warriors moved in sync, some shifted to their wolf forms to guard outside, and others prepared their ammunitions and went inside the refuge.
When elite Donald found Hank, he pulled out his gun and pointed the muzzle at Hank's head. "No one moves or I'll blow your boss' head off," he warned the underlings as they huddled around him. His finger hooked on the trigger, prepared to shoot if someone showed bravery and didn't heed his instruction. His eyes were trained to observe a wide range in the enemy's region. Hank who was nailed to his spot ground his teeth as his eyes flickered in anger. "Who the fuck are you?" he shouted at the elite in a loud voice.
Elite Donald didn't flinch as he gave a deadpan look and responded, "You are Hank Floyd with many offenses, the evidence has been sent to the High Alpha's office and as an officer of the Gamma of this pack, I am arresting you under the rigorous law of the Dark Wolverson Pack."
Upon hearing his last two sentences, all fell in alarm. "Darn it, Hank. You said they wouldn't catch on to us because we had more time." One of the infuriated men muttered before he cussed and hurriedly ran out of the basement with two others tailing him, but collided with more of the pack warriors as they sealed off all accessible points of escape.
"Coward." Donald spat out giving Hank a sinister glare.
Being left alone with his men, Hank trembled in mixed humiliation and rage while his sharp eyes focused on Elite Donald. "I can pay you more than whatever is your pay grade if you let me get out of this." He mumbled, and seeing that bribery wasn't working, he tried intimidation, "You are not leaving this place alive!" He grumbled out before the whole room went dark which caught Donald off guard. "Kill him, boys!"
Chaos broke free. As soon as the cellar was enveloped in darkness, Hank hastily snatched Donald's hands from his head and lashed at him. He hurried to the open door without waiting for his men to attack the elite of the Wolverson Pack. The faint glint in the hallway helped him quickly adjust his vision in the foggy space of oleander gas that the invaders released in the underground areas. He coughed as he fought to repel the effect of the gas.
"Damn it" Hank cursed under his brisk breath and dragged his feet out while he questioned how the premises got infiltrated. From rumors of how stealthily the Alpha operated, he must had have this blasted guy undercover in his lair. He chuckled at eluding the arrogant bastard.
He warned his deputy Jerome to ensure that everyone checked out and to do random checks to ensure that they all wore his sealed mark on the back of their necks to indicate they were one of their men. This was a sealed mark that only Hank or Jerome could apply with his iron rod that was patterned for his signature.
Two of his rogues came up by his side. As he walked across the lengthy corridor, Hank's jaw clenched and he cursed. "That fucker should be killed. No one is stopping my plans." The elite's murder was not enough to make him feel better because the bastard created a significant obstacle, and the noise and furious growls persisted in the chamber from which he escaped. They ruined his pursuit to build his own pack and retaliate against his former pack. He would be the Alpha that the werewolf kingdom lacked, and then eventually would have a pack so large that he could even challenge the High Alpha himself.
Worst, it's a blow to his image in the organization and if the mafia learned about it, he had to deal with the consequences of imposing their members into a dangerous situation.
The High Alpha messed with their trades by cleaning out all the illegal undertakings of the mafia and Hank presented himself as their way of reforming their system in that region. "All because of that son of a bitch!" Outraged surged through his trembling form. How he wanted to kill the Gamma himself, however, he surmised there would be an incursion.
He hoped that the Howlers Pack kept the rest of his stock hidden. They were a great backup to him. Once he marries into the Alpha's family with his already built rogue army, plus connections to the mafia, he could be a force to reckon with.

Blayne was happy that Vance assigned him to assist Donald. The direful expression with eyes dark and the ferocious glare revealed what he felt inside. Today was the day to meet the asshole who dispatched his minions to steal his toys.
As Blayne approached the building he could hear the commotions outside. "We are being seiged. Inform the boss immediately!" One guy shouted in the hallway, but little did they know that Hank was already captured and held in custody.
Under ragged breath he used wolf speed to disarm the man and twisted his neck, the cracking of his windpipe sealed his last breath, and fell to the floor with a thud. Loud gunshots and fierce growls ripped the stillness of that place. There were cursing and terrifying outcries and another gunshot as he made his way to the cellars.
The woman who was seen in the room upstairs faced him. Defeat made her choose to play the damsel in distress. "I am not one of them." She backed away from him and jumped in terror when Blayne growled at her. As she bounced back, she fell to the floor on her bottom. She grunted and glared at the man that she accidentally clashed with but only gasp in shock to see that it was another one of his elite, Rohan. Blayne stood in front of her.
"Finish her," Blayne commanded him through the mind-link. Such a waste of a good woman. She could have been a good lay. " We have the ones that we need in custody. Everyone else is expendable. Leave no one alive."
He opened fire as the shots penetrated her head, heart, and throat as they were trained to do to ensure that they stayed dead.
Hank knew that without backup plans, the Gamma won't reveal himself. He must get out of there quickly. Hank increased his speed as soon as he heard footsteps echoing in the hallway, and when he reached the corner, he stumbled upon an unknown man with five large wolves trailing behind him. Hank stepped back.
He gulped forcefully in horror as his face turned noticeably pale. The unnamed man, on the other hand, bravely tilted his head to the side, clicking his tongue. "There you are, skunk" Blayne murmured as his eyes changed hue and a sneer tugged on his face. Hank stumbled upon his worst nightmare.

(Vance's POV)
"Alpha, we found him and managed to subdue him and his rogues. We await your orders." Donald reported through the mind-
link.
"Good job. Blayne and his team are on their way to back you up and take over Hank." I adjured. Liam's team held Jerome, the deputy rogue in custody. "Liam, take your team and bring the right-hand man back to our pack and imprison him in our
dungeon."
"Roger that." Multiple persons responded.
Chad's team and mine stayed behind. We found files on families that were coerced into helping him. There was a Smith and
Parks family that was assigned to Moon Shadow Pack to supply food to the rogue. This pack was rich in agriculture and involved in many international imports and exports.
Others were assigned as burglars to steal jewels and cash. We needed this file. We had to find where they kept the hostages that they had used as leverage to compel these individuals to commit their felonious deeds.
"Chad?"
"Yes, Alpha?"
"Continue to rummage through what we can for more information. Ensure that the rest are all dead. I believe that this was swiftly done. Hank will be back in the dungeon for us to interrogate. I want this place locked down until the council is made aware, and I come to a decision." I commanded. "My team and I will retreat to join up with Donald's on the way back home." Formalities dictated that council members highlighted the detrimental ongoing in the domains of each species, even though when came down to it, I would have the final say because this was a werewolf problem.
"Affirmed, Alpha."
I signaled my team and we did exactly what I had said. This was a smooth operation and I hoped that we wouldn't discover anything else on this matter. I wanted this closed so I could advance to spend time with Sianna. At the thought of her, my gaze found Curtis and I brushed him off my mind. I had to trust that Sianna would do what had to be done for us and the pack. They needed their Luna and it was time for her to become that.
She said she would be at her parents' house packing for the move. I assigned men to help her. I hoped that she had made great progress. I am dying to go home to her each day.
By now the sun peaked its soft rays to glaze the environment as we arrived home. The grass and flowers were still wet with morning dew. The men followed me straight to the pack house where the maids shuffled about to make them breakfast and tea. Donald took Hank and his deputy to the old warehouse where the dungeon was located underneath. The rest of us settled in the conference room. Duke joined us.
"Great job everyone." I congratulated. "The elite candidates have done well. There are no casualties so far. We will await further report when the other teams return." I removed my gears. "Have some breakfast here then return the equipment to the training grounds until the Gamma gives additional instructions. Donald, as your senior will direct you until then."
Duke and I went back to my office. "That was a quick operation."
"Thank heavens for that," I grumbled. "Is everything here okay?"
"Yes, Vance." He took the file from my hand to look through. "Some of these people are here."
"We need to clean house." I poured myself some vodka and gulped it down.
"They need their freedom, and we should offer them the choice to stay or go. But Hank would have had men monitoring their family members based on the hold he had on them. That is if they aren't dead already." He pointed out the obvious.
"We will get that done eventually. The hostages were not on the premises. Plus, some were just blackmailed or bribed. I have to
send a message so that they desist from whatever task they might be engaged in under Hank's command." I drained my glass of
all the liquor.
"What are we doing with Hank?"
"The council will meet, they might question him to find out if he had vampires or witches involved before I give his judgment."
I placed the empty glass down. One drink was enough for the day, I wouldn't want the smell on my breath when I talked to
Sianna.
"Alright, I'll join Liam in the dungeon and start the interrogation." He looked me over. "You should go home and get
showered."
I raised my arms and smelled each area. Yuck! I was musty, sweaty, and dirty. But I smiled at the thought of being in the shower with Sianna. My cock hardened. I placed my fingers at the top of my nose and rubbed. I ached for her. My wolf whined.
