Chapter 100 BONUS CHAP. 10 - HOUSEBOUND

Chapter 100 BONUS CHAP. 10 - HOUSEBOUND

This follows Chapter 56..................
\-BLAYNE'S POV
Anxiously, I ran down the stairs to go towards Cleo's cell. On the third step away from the landing, I paused.
I hadn't thought this through.
Alpha Vance had permitted Cleo to leave the dirty dungeon. Her liberation was contingent on her acceptance to move in with me. My heart was bubbling with delight, but underneath the surface, concern levitated.
What was I going to say? The last thing that Cleo wanted was to be housebound at my apartment. I exhaled through my mouth. Duke was right, she was bound to reject the notion.
Those two annoying friends of mine suddenly made me nervous with their taunting this morning. Just because their mate relationship shit was going fluently did not mean that they had to rub it in. Many things went against my favor where Cleo was concerned and arresting her was the biggest blunder.
Despite the sizzling hot, intimate nights we had during her heat, she reverted to giving me the cold shoulder. Conversations with her were forced, rather than open and smooth.
I sighed.
Tapping my nose with my left index finger, I deliberated. Perhaps I should go to check on Dry Hounds Patrol Station, the south side of our pack, and mull my thoughts over. That ought to clear my head and help me sort out this mess.
Slowly, I retreated and headed up the stairs. My wolf paced angrily in my head, muttering curses. I shoved him deeper into the abyss of my mind, blocking him totally. I could not think clearly with his grouchy pestering.
Walking through the warehouse offices, I scratched the back of my neck, knowing that I was not handling this properly. And I will NOT ask Duke or Vance for help. I will figure this out, one way or another.
The glaring sun burnt my skin when I reached the outdoors. Damn, it's hot today but thinking of Zoe made me stop in my tracks. It was conceivable that Cleo would agree if I told her that Zoe was staying with me. I could see her kicking me in my groin for the lie. Yet, it was worth a try.
With a one-eighty-degree turn, I was approaching the dungeon again, descending the stairs.
"If you turn back one more fucking time I'll force-shift and go to see our mate." My wolf warned, feeling fed up with my ambivalence.
"Sleep!" I scolded my wolf with an immediate lockdown and
barricaded him in a black hole. I had enough problems to deal with and rather not have arguments with him today. After all, I was doing my best.
Another rising thought provoked me. Women loved gifts. I should have bought her flowers or something. Mimic the gestures that Vance employed to woo Sianna. Halting my steps, this time in the middle of the stairs, I thought about running to the bouquet store. My hands ruffled my hair and I swirled around thinking about the nearest store to run to.
Ascending the stairs again, I realized that I was a fucking mess. Sweaty and musky, she would hate it. Throwing my hands on my head in exasperation, why must men have it this hard? She's so pretty and perfect with outstanding attributes that were suitable for my Gamma Female. All she had to do was bat her eyelashes at me and I was sapped. But my job is so miserably hard. I don't know how to please her, though it's my greatest desire.
Moon goddess, help!
Recalling her heated nights again. I did well. I deserved a blasted medal for not ravishing her body and fucking her senseless during her heat cycle. It was torturous with those pheromones meddling with my mind and driving me insane. My restraint was holding by a thread that I dare not let snap. So I prevailed and we still haven't mated. This fact fueled my wishes more.
A few feet away from the warehouse, I stopped on the dirt path thinking that my self-control should have attested that I would always consider her feelings first. This was an arguable point to mention to her. Yes, it could persuade her to agree to move in with me, temporarily. And while co-habiting under the same roof, I'll prove to her that I'm the loving and caring mate that she needed.

Building layers of determination, I spun around to confront my Cleo. I'm not turning back this time. When I reached the bottom of the stairs, elite warriors Daniel, Thomas, and Levi's curious and
disquieted eyes inspected me.
Having no time for this, I spat, "What?" They knew to avoid my
anger.
"Nothing," Daniel quickly said and averted his eyes, writing on the time sheet.
Thomas bowed his head respectfully and moved aside while Levi opened the metal entrance door. Obviously, they had felt my aura tunneling in and out of the dungeon while I was indecisive. They were probably perturbed by my odd conduct and wondering what I was up to. Well, it's none of their blasted business.
The palpitations of my heart radically climbed with each step down the corridor to her cell. I shook my head in disbelief at the man that I had become. This woman would make me bend my knees for her. Love? I don't know what I feel for her, except that I can't bear to be away from her. Love was such a strong word. Though without her light in my life, the moon, sun and stars could not brighten my days.
At long last, I faced the music. Sensing my presence, she stood by the bars awaiting me with hands folded across her round mouth-watery breasts.
"I have some good news." I feigned confidence while assessing her
mood.
Her salmon-colored bee-stung lips upturned the corners of her mouth. "What is it? Did you catch the killer?"
Her magnetic smile was soft and gentle, adding glow and warmth to
her beautiful features. Her eyes crinkle as the flexing of the muscles carved full and colorful apples in her prominent cheeks. She should smile more often.
I took in a deep breath that hitched before exhaling. "You can leave the cell..........on one condition."
The smile withered and her expression converted into skepticism. With laser-like attention, she braced herself to receive the
stipulation.
Nerves clogged my throat and I scratched the back of my neck. Then
I preamble began, "The order is to have you housebound."
"Oh." She shrugged. "When do I leave for the pack house?"
She had misunderstood. Suddenly, the air around me felt thick and mangled. Now I knew that she'd be mad about what I said next, "The Alpha wants you to be housebound at my place un...........” "What?!" With an outburst of disbelief, she didn't let me finish. " Hell no!" She threw her hands up in the air in exasperation. Outraged, she paced back and forth. My face drained all color and my heart sank. My wolf whimpered, feeling dejected. We were both looking forward to living with her. No matter how prepared I thought I was to confront her, this strident refusal crashed into my heart, causing dents. My body, mind and soul reeled in sadness.
As her ranting went on, I opened the cell door and threw my arms around her chest from behind, rendering her motionless. "Cleo, please calm down. My place isn't bad and there's a spare room for
Zoe." I brought my mouth down to her ears. "It'll give us a chance to get to know each other."
She twisted and rambled out curses. "Let me go you son-of-a-bitch! You planned this! I'll slice your dick off you shriveled-up pig!"
"Are you going to calm down?" I tried to be tender but my tone came out harsh and commanding.
She went still and side-glanced at me, putting on the sweetest smile
on her face. "Yes. I'll calm down."
My eyes narrowed in suspicion. Nothing was ever easy with Cleo.
There was a catch.
Nonetheless, I dropped my hands and stepped backward. She swirled
around to face me and did not speak a word. Instead, she lunged at me in a fit of wrath and aggravation. I welcomed her wholly. Prognosticating her movements before she even attempts to strike. I smirked at her implacable efforts to hit me.
When she threw a powerful punch with her iron knuckles, I snickered
and clutched her by the wrist, shoving her to the concrete floor whilst mounting her being in a matter of mere seconds. My fingers seized her jaw and angled her mouth upward as I forced my eager lips onto hers. I couldn't resist. Kissing her tasty lips made my day.
Cleo's eyes broadened with a mixture of horror and awe as she elongated her claws. However, my acute eyesight predicted her potential actions. Capturing her wrists, I secured her hands above her head while separating her legs with my knees and filling the space in between with my robust body.
The battle perishes in her eyes as the sparks trounce the fire to resist
the moon-gifted bond. It overpowered both our bodies. The fight died as passion bloomed. A single powerful thrust of my pelvis onto her core had her whimpering out as she closed her eyes to my fervent, aggressive kiss and the feel of my solid cock.
"I need you, Cleo." I moaned into her mouth as her cheeks crimsoned. "I can't go a day without seeing you or breathing in your scent."
She exhaled a fatigued sigh in objection. Drunken by lust, I lay on top of her, dousing in her rich aromatic scent and latching onto her lips.
Minutes after, I was the first to bail out of the enchantment and took
charge of the situation. I stood and pulled her onto her feet, holding her by the waist to stabilize her.
"I'm sorry, Cleo. But I know you'll forgive me." I whispered without thinking my actions through.
Her brows curved inward in bewilderment.
Then her eyes fluttered shut when I knocked her out cold.
