I took a deep breath, inhaling deeply and taking in Winston’s warm, calming scent before pulling at his clothing, trying to get it off piece by piece. I guess it was just their strange culture, but every werewolf shifter I've seen here wears very revealing clothes, some bordering on scandalous, except for the royals, Xavier and Winston. The women wore bra-like tops, some transparent while others were not, and some had very short shorts or skirts that barely counted as clothing, covering up almost nothing. I also noticed their excessive, glittering jewelry, which I guessed showed off your wealth or status within the pack. The men wore similar things, like revealing tops and even some went completely topless, parading their toned bodies around like trophies. Though, unlike them, Xavier and Winston wore several layers of clothes, always so formal and proper. I didn't know how to explain the way their clothing looked, other than how the first layer was long and almost touched the floor like a cloak, while the layers underneath were much shorter and fitted snugly to their bodies. I pulled at his top layer, not because I wanted to expose him, but wanting it only for his scent, for the way it made my body relax and my wolf purr with contentment. They both had gotten used to this strange little habit of mine and always gave their clothing to me without complaint. I even had a whole pile of their clothes stacked neatly in the corner of my room like a dragon hoarding treasure. They tried a few times to get them back, tugging at sleeves or playfully negotiating, but I never let them take anything once it was mine.

Once I successfully pulled off his clothing, a satisfied huff leaving my lips, I reached out my hands indicating I wanted to be carried to the bed. Xavier, who always seemed to know what I needed, carefully lifted me up bridal style and walked over to the new luxurious bed where he gently placed me down like I was something fragile and precious. I set the piece of clothing down before crawling to the other side of the bed and grabbing the stash of clothes that I had stolen from them and brought them onto my bed in a pile like a nest. I rolled around as I took in their mingled scents, rubbing it all over myself and my new bed, wanting it soaked into every inch of the sheets. I could sense both of them creeping closer to me with silent steps. I peeked up and stared at their smiling faces, well Xavier’s smiling face, soft and amused.

Winston had a different kind of smile, not gentle but almost dangerous, as if it was satisfaction laced with something darker.

While I laid there in my scent-smeared bliss, there was a sudden knock at the door, followed by the heavy door slamming open without consent of entering. My body reacted before my mind could catch up, I immediately sprung up and almost tried to bolt towards the man who dared enter, but Winston was faster and quickly grabbed my arm, forcing me down to the ground with one swift, practiced motion. I yelped as the sudden shock burned my neck, a searing reminder of the collar, which made me instantly submit under him, begging for the shocks to go away with tears welling up in my eyes. Even though I knew I wouldn't have been able to walk or run towards the man, even if I’d tried with all my strength, I still tried and I regretted it deeply.

"Who told you that you could come in here without permission? This room is strictly unavailable to everyone except for the Alphas, unless we say otherwise."

Xavier's voice grew loud and angry, sharp like claws, toward the man, and even I was growing nervous from the rising heat in the room. "My greatest apologies, sir." The man proceeded to talk to him about whatever it was that he needed to say after barging in here like he owned the place.

I calmed down some and was now laying my full body weight on Winston while he held me tightly against his chest, his strong arms a comforting cage. I noticed the man in the doorway sneak a glance over at me, and slightly grin once our eyes met. I didn't know what it was, but I had a bad feeling about him, deep in my gut, and you should always, always listen to your wolf's instinct. I noticed the way he looked at me when I bared my teeth at him, and it only made me want to rip that fucking grin off his lips with my bare hands. "Well, please let me know when you will be available. Oh, and by the way, your pet is so precious," he said with a mocking tone, walking out of the door while both of my mates sent him a death glare filled with unspoken threats. I had a feeling he wasn't going to get away with his comment. Not this time.

Once he was out of the room and the door was back to being closed, Xavier walked back up to both me and Winston who were still on the floor, tangled together like something wounded and recovering. My head was now laying on his chest while his heartbeat calmed me down like a lullaby. I heard Xavier sigh before opening his mouth to speak with a tight, controlled voice. "You are not to try and do what you did again, unless you are wanting to be punished." His words were harsh and I didn't like it one bit, the sting of dominance behind them making my spine stiffen. I sent them both a glare, defiant even as I laid there beneath them. "I will do whatever I want to do if it has something to do with my territory. It's not my fault if you don't protect yours," I spat, trying my best to gain back dominance, but I knew there would be consequences for my challenge. That didn’t stop me. It never did.
