Chapter 36 Loss of Control
Chapter 36 Loss of Control
Tyler’s pov
Topher had Elsie on the counter with his hands tracing up her thighs. His mouth was buried in her neck and she was desperately clinging to him.
I watched as the rhythm of her breathing grew uneven. Her moist lips parted open to let out a sinful sound to call out my brother’s name.
I was jealous. I wanted the chance to do that too. To please her without holding myself back, or catch her looking at me with a kind of caution.
I swallowed down the guilt rising in my chest. If I wanted to make proper amends, I needed to constantly show her the side of me I had denied the most. The side that truly wanted her.
“Wow,” I let out loudly, wearing a bright grin on my face to hide my nerves.
“Didn’t realize we were lining up now,” I said, leaning against the doorway.
Topher didn’t even look at me. “You’re late.”
I almost laughed. Of course, he’d say that.
“Or are you just greedy?” I countered as I pushed off the frame and stepped in slowly to take it all in.
I couldn’t take my eyes off her else I’d miss something. The way her chest rose without restraint. The way her fingers curled into his shirt, pulling him closer with a knowing look. The way she didn’t pull away entirely.
Yeah. Something was definitely changing and I wanted to be a better part of it.
“You talk too much,” Topher muttered.
I ignored him, keeping my full attention planted on Elsie.
“What about me?” I asked, tilting my head slightly. “Do I get left out?”
She didn’t answer right away. Her eyes hazed with pleasure and simply stared at me. Was she hesitating?
I stood my ground to measure her reaction even if my wolf was sadly whining at our mate’s unresponsiveness to the request.
Topher’s hands tightened on her thighs. It was subtle but I caught it. The action seemed to jolt her out of her thoughts.
“I asked first,” he teased quietly. He was trying to ease out the tension. I appreciated that.
I scoffed under my breath. “You’re already done, aren’t you?”
“I’m not done,” He sharply retorted in an almost childish manner that felt contradictory to his usual manners.
To my surprise, Elsie finally moved. She placed a hand on Topher’s chest and pushed him slightly. Slowly he pried off her neck m, just enough to create space for her to move.
But from the gentle manner she seemed to push, I could tell she wasn’t rejecting him. She was just exercising her control to move. “Okay. Pause. Both of you.”
And we did.
She stepped down from the counter carefully. The controlled poise in her movements gave away what she was feeling. She was aware of every move she made and how we were watching it. She was nervous.
On that though, her eyes found mine.
But there it was again. The hesitant flicker that confessed her peculiar curiosity and caution reserved for me.
“Do you always look this confident,” she suddenly uttered as she folded her arms lightly against her chest, “or is this a special occasion?”
I smirked. “Only when I think I’m about to get kissed.”
Surprise painted her face. That was what I wanted. To catch her off guard, to ease her into accepting I had no ulterior motives or intentions to hurt her this time.
She stepped toward me. “You talk a lot,” she murmured, stopping right in front of me. She was close enough that I could feel her breath. “Let’s see if you’re any good at something else.”
Wow. I hadn't expected her of all people to come at me like that. I felt my wolf bristle with excitement. He liked it. I liked it more than I should.
Her long slim fingers curled into my shirt. Elsie yanked me down to her height aggressively and I let her.
That was my first mistake. The second was assuming I still had some form of control when it came to her.
The second our mouths met, I found all the built-up heat left behind in my body. It flared up in waves and crashed over my psyche completely.
Elsie kissed me like she'd been in a hurry to prove something and I matched her unhinged fervor.
She tasted so different, she felt different pressed up against my body as she pushed her tongue against my mouth.
I growled deeply. What an audacious thing to attempt, Dominating an Alpha. It only spurred me on.
I tilted her head, took control of the angle, and deepened the kiss without asking. We didn't need any buildup, we both wanted to burn each other with our passion.
Elsie didn’t resist or pull back. Instead, she pushed into it to suck on my tongue. Fuck. Which one of them taught her that?
I grabbed her ass and waist, slamming her back gently against the wall nearby. A soft delicious sound slipped out of her, and it hit harder than it should’ve.
The sound traveled straight down my gut to my already aching member I had been deliberating ignoring.
Fuck it! I wanted more of this little minx.
I pushed further. I slid my hand down her ass down her leg, raised her thigh, and wrapped the leg around my waist. I was sure she could feel it now, every inch of me pressing against her pretty heat.
I wanted her to moan out desperately begging for me to do more. I wanted her to beg me to take her right there, and loud enough for everyone to hear.
To my surprise once again, Elsie pushed back against me. She slowly rocked her hips against my hard-on and my entire body shuddered.
Unintentionally, I pulled out the kiss to let out a shaky breath before resting my forehead on her shoulder. “Fuck. Don’t do that If you don’t plan on taking responsibility,” I panted.
If I didn’t calm down, only the goddess knew what I’d do. She challenged me so well and I folded badly.
To think I broke the kiss first. To think I folded first. No one told me losing would be this deliciously painful.
“Okay… wow.” I huffed a quiet laugh, tilting my head on her shoulder to peer at her.
Elsie muttered, “That doesn’t sound like a complaint.”
“It wasn’t,” I answered honestly too fast.
I straightened slowly, my hands sliding from her waist into her pajama top. I wasn’t done with her, not even close.
“Tyler,” she let out breathily. Her body was so responsive to my touch that I couldn’t help but touch her.
“Yes?” My gaze dipped briefly to her parted lips before returning to her eyes.
She caught me staring and her cheeks flushed red. The old Elsie was still in there, the shy endearing one I took too much time ignoring. I didn’t want to dismiss that version of her anymore.
“Talk to me kitten,” I coaxed gently.
“Kitten?” Topher abruptly interrupted. Was he still here? I completely forgot.
“I should go to bed,” she suddenly mumbled before lightly pushing against my chest to wiggle out of my hold.
“Should we—“
“Alone!” She interrupted before my suggestion landed.
It was disappointing but I nodded. Afterall I had plenty of time now to play with my mate. I could wait one more night.
