Chapter 35 Or are you just greedy?
Elsie’s pov
I stood in the kitchen a little longer than I needed to.
The glass in my hand was already empty, but I kept holding it anyway, as it gave me an excuse to stay put. Most especially, to not go back upstairs just yet.
I caught my reflection faintly in the dark window. It was just as I guessed. Flushed and disoriented because I had my first kiss and it was one of the hottest experiences I’ve ever had. I doubted he knew. He, on the other hand, was clearly experienced.
Jealousy sparked in my chest at the thought. The idea of my mate kissing other women left me feeling bitter. “Ugh,” I scrunched up my nose.
I puffed out an exhale, pressing my fingers lightly against the glass. “You’re overthinking,” I muttered under my breath.
Except I wasn’t. He literally slept with a woman in this very house. I mumbled in annoyance.
Footsteps approached behind me and my heart startled. Was he back? I turned around to see Topher walking my way.
“Hi,” I waved lightly. I was unsure about what to do or say.
He leaned casually against the counter. His eyes stayed on me, watching like he’d been there long enough to see everything I wasn’t saying.
“You came down for water,” he pointed out matter-of-factly.
I lifted the glass slightly. “Already got it.”
His gaze dropped briefly to my hand, then returned to my face.
“I was going to get one too,” he added. “Got distracted.”
There was something in the way he said it that made my stomach tighten. I looked away first albeit shyly. “Then get one.”
He didn’t move toward the sink as I expected, Instead, he closed the space between us with a small playful smirk.
“You’re thinking too much again,” he tilted his head slightly and I swooned. “ I wonder about what.”
Did he…
“I am always thinking,” I shrugged as casually as I could fake it.
He huffed lightly at that, almost like a quiet agreement. He only continued to stare as I held his gaze. Every second that passed only made the tension hotter.
“I want one too,” Topher suddenly confessed.
My heart missed a beat as it paced. “What?”
His gaze flickered down my lips like the answer was obvious. “A kiss,” he uttered simply. “You gave Tristan one. I want one too.”
There was no demand for it, just a surprisingly adorable honesty.
I let out a laugh, a hearty one. It only grew funnier with his very serious expression.
“I-is it bad to ask?” he anxiously asked and it only added to his charm.
“No it's not. It's just not what I was expecting,” I smiled at him, gently patting his head despite his height.
He grabbed my wrist softly. “I'm serious Elsie,” he whined albeit unconsciously.
I didn't hesitate this time. I stepped closer on my own before placing my hands on his chest to steady myself.
He still first blinked at me with his beautiful gentle eyes. He was surrendering control to me and I really liked that.
I leaned in and our lips met gracefully. The kiss was slower than Tristan’s. Topher was taking his sweet agonizing turn to feel my mouth.
His hands wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer as we kissed.
My thoughts scattered almost immediately, replaced by the awareness of how steady he was. He was still being careful and moving at my pace. What a sweet boy.
My fingers curled lightly into his shirt as the moment stretched longer. I pushed my tongue into his mouth first, taking the initiative to assure him. I wanted this as much as he did.
Topher responded in kind, sucking my tongue ferociously as the kiss grew heated. He lifted me from my legs before placing my bum on the kitchen counter.
His hand traces up my thighs slowly, teasing as it finds its way up my shorts. His fingers graced my triangle and I shuddered. If this continued, I would not be able to stop myself.
Topher let me look away but his hands still lingered on my most sensitive spot. His mouth found my neck as he sucked on the skin.
My chest rose and fell a little unevenly. “Topher,” I gasped from the sensation of his tongue on my neck.
“Wow,” a voice cut in from the doorway.
Topher paused and so did I.
Tyler leaned against the frame just like his brother had done. His arms were crossed and an excited grin marred his lips.
“Didn’t realize we were lining up now,” he remarked.
Topher barely glanced at him. “You’re late.” He resumed his kisses on my neck.
“Am I?” Tyler pushed off the wall, stepping inside. “Or are you just greedy?”
Topher scoffed lightly. “You talk too much.”
Tyler ignored him and looked at me instead, his expression shifting just slightly. “What about me?” he asked. “Do I get left out?”
