Seren Snaps

Seren's POV

Days!

It had been days since Lilith had disappeared in the hands of the mad man called Kieran.

And in all those days, no one seemed to be bothered by her disappearance but me. I had walked up and down in that pack, talking to Alpha Zander and asking him if they had found her.

Do you know what he kept on repeating to me?

That they were working on it!

Lilith was missing and the were 'working on it,'

And the only thing that I saw was then walking up and down and going to sleep when evening came. My blood boiled at the thought that every night they slept in their beds so peacefully while I didn't know where my best friend was.

I was already counting sleepless nights that I couldn't even shut me eyes for a couple of minute's rest. Everytime I closed my eyes, I could see Lilith probably hurdled up somewhere at the foot a tree fighting off the cold.

The torture was too much already and the more the days went by, the more stressed and worried I became.

To make matters worse, the first team that was sent to track Kieran down was yet to ever communicate back.

After so long, I had already figured that they were dead and there was no one else in those woods looking for Lilith.

'You need to take a break,' my wolf advised me, telling me how much my body was suffering from not being able to get enough sleep and even eat well.

'I will take a break when I know that Lilith is safe and sound. As long as she is in those woods without anyone from the pack, and with Kieran, I will not rest until she's found.' I declared, thinking of how I was going to provoke either Zander or Ryder to call for a search party.

Thinking about Alpha Zander, he was more experienced that Ryder. He knew me and Lilith well and was acquainted to out mischievous tactics.

So, provoking him could only end up with me in the dungeons for messing with him. My only hope was Ryder.

I knew how much Lilith hated him, and so did I. Getting any sort of help was going to take out a lot from me and I needed to be ready to face that reality.

Walking straight to the pack house, I went directly to his gaming room where he used to hang out with some other douchebags of the pack.

I walked into the room and found him playing games with three of his friends. When they saw me at the door, one of them looked at me with a twisted face and asked,

"Who invited the party pooper?"

Lilith was missing and Ryder was busy playing video games with his friends? I really hoped that I was dreaming. Unfortunately, I wasn't.

It took a lot of will for me not to go on a rampage and destroy everything that was in that room to send a message to Ryder.

However, if I did that I would probably spend the next couple of months in prison.

Ironic, isn't it. I would be punished for trashing the room of the person who was supposed to be spearhead Lilith's search.

"Are you kidding me? Lilith is still missing and you're here playing games?" I demanded, raising my voice.

"My father is handling it. She'll be found," he answered arrogantly, gesturing at his friends to keep playing the game.

The audacity that he had was mind boggling.

Lilith preached how much she hated him and I was now seeing just how serious the situation was with Ryder. At one point, I felt that it's better she was missing.

It seemed like a better option, rather than be married to Ryder.

"Of course. Daddy's little boy is going to let dsdyy run everything. I thought you were about to become alpha! Or you didn't grow a pair of balls to make the hard decisions."

His friends paused the game to take a moment for them to listen to what was happening. They even started hyping him up, telling him how the wouldn't allow anyone to talk to them like that.

Even my wolf was retreating to the back of my mind.

"I just told you that my father is handling it! You want everyone to run into the woods and look for your friend? If you really care about her so much, why don't you do it yourself?" He asked, raising his voice higher than mine.

He was already starting to burn up. I needed more of that. Perhaps it would be what was needed to push for a larger search party to be sent as soon as possible.

"You know what? I'll do exactly that. Perhaps I'll be able to say that I was man enough to go into the forest and look for her. Something that you won't be able to ever say in your life," I fired back, making sure I tugged at every nerve at any chance I was getting.

"You know what? Lilith was right about you," I baited him.

And from the way he instantly stopped what he was doing together with his friends to listen, I knew that I had all of them hooked.

"What are you talking about?" He demanded, curious to know what she had said about him.

"I'm talking about how I see that you're not even half the man that she said you were. And I can guarantee you that she didn't have any nice words to say about you," I answered him, watching as the vein at the sides of his head pulsate even more vigorously, threatening to burst.

"You're lying!" He snapped back, trying to defend the little dignity he had left

"Do you want to bet on that? You know Lilith, you practically grew up together." I responded as I watched him burning with anger.

"Don't worry, I'll find some friends to help look for her. Perhaps when you grow your set of balls, you'll get up from your fucking chair and try to look for her!" I added as I turned around left them without another word.
