Chapter 61 Mistakenly Thought She Was Kissing a Stranger

Anna's POV:

I forced a smile at them. "I just felt a bit dizzy earlier, so I took a walk, and now I feel much better."

Not sleeping last night had indeed made me dizzy, and being lifted and ravished by Nick in the garage earlier only intensified the feeling.

Even though his pure bloodline allowed him to heal quickly, his shoulder injury clearly hadn't fully healed. Yet he risked his life in that race and had such a wild sex with me.

Mark's garage must have surveillance cameras. Looking at Mark's handsome face and concerned eyes, I felt even more guilty and uneasy.

"EGO's electronic control unit technology is indeed impressive," Frank said, pointing at the data on the projection screen. "Not only was the data clear in that race, but Nick's handling was also straightforward. The shifting performance surpassed 98% of the cars on the market."

Mark watched the screen, nodding slightly. "It seems this technology is indeed worth acquiring."

Frank continued explaining for a while, a glint in his eyes. "If we can collaborate on developing this technology, it should exceed TNI's annual growth expectations."

Frank was waiting for Mark's final assessment, but Mark seemed distracted. After a few seconds, he snapped back. "Yes, I mean... very good."

As everyone headed to the dinner, Mark suddenly called out to me softly in the hallway, "Anna, wait a moment."

My heart pounded, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of despair.

"What is it?" I asked cautiously, trying to appear less passive.

Mark, holding his aristocratic cane, looked elegant and composed in his thick blue-black coat. "Don't worry, it's common for racers and their partners to have... moments. The TNI surveillance staff are all women. Except the initial girl who saw it, no one else will, and you can destroy the footage anytime."

"Thank you." I mustered the courage to look up and respond quietly.

Mark's voice was gentle and deep. "If you need help, you can come to me. That girl believes you weren't willing."

"Thank you, but it's okay," I replied, biting my lip. "I... I was willing."

Because of my mother, I already owe Allen Alpha too much.

Hearing my response, Mark looked surprised, then suddenly gripped my shoulder, pressing me against the enamel glass window as he leaned in. "Like now, are you also willing?" He leaned in but did nothing more.

His eyes held a righteous anger, and I knew he meant well, but it only made me sadder.

My dizziness worsened, and I grabbed Mark's arm for support. He moved closer.

"Are you okay, Anna?" Mark noticed something was wrong and picked me up.

Just then, the sound of hurried footsteps approached from behind.

"Give her back to me, and forget about the collaboration proposal." Nick's voice sounded, and I noticed that his eyes were colder than I'd ever seen.

Mark responded decisively, "She only belongs to herself. She is free to stay or go."

Nick's smile was both obsessive and elegant. "Is that so? I know it's not her fault. So, can you bear the cost of teaching her to do wrong?"

Knowing Nick's personality, I realized he might set a trap to destroy Mark, so, I whispered to Nick, "I'll go with you."

"That's right, good girl." Nick walked over, his eyes darkening as he saw me clutching Mark's sleeve.

I quickly let go and reached out to Nick.

Mark's face showed a hint of reluctance. "Anna, if you need anything..."

Before he could finish, Nick had already taken me away.

Nick held me with one arm, his other hand gently supporting my back.

His deep blue eyes glowed beautifully in the dark, but they were terrifying.

He looked at me with a half-smile. "Do you like that guy?"

I took a deep breath and mustered the courage to retort. "He is just my friend."

I feared Nick would take extreme measures against Mark, but my response seemed to anger Nick further.

He sneered, his voice cold and contemptuous. "Friend? The kind you can kiss and sleep with anytime? Anna, is it true what Judy said, that hundreds of men can fuck you?"

With a sharp sound, my hand landed on Nick's handsome face, leaving a clear red mark.

The recent sadness and anger had bound me, and I couldn't suppress them any longer.

I stared at Nick, speaking slowly and painfully, "If it weren't for Danial and my two friends protecting me, what you said... would have already happened!"

Nick was stunned for a moment, looking at me as if he wanted to say something but remained silent.

I glared at him with hatred. "Isn't that what you all wanted?"

With that, I pushed him away and ran off. To avoid causing Mark more trouble, I took a cab and left the TNI club.

When I arrived at the Allen Manor, I ran into Isaac, who was coming down the spiral staircase.

Isaac stopped. "Anna?"

I nodded at him and numbly continued walking forward.

But as I passed him, his arm blocked my way. "What's wrong, Anna? Tina said she did warn you. I'll make her apologize to you."

"Apologize? Warn? Is she that gentle in your eyes?" I forced a mocking smile. "Then let me warn you now to stay away from me, or I don't know what I'll do to your gentle girlfriend!"

With Isaac's personality, anyone saying something harsh to him would usually face severe consequences. And I hoped to draw a clear line with him from now on.

Isaac reached out, and I closed my eyes in despair.

But the expected pain didn't come. When I opened my eyes, his hand was on my forehead, his expression serious.

He seemed to be checking my temperature.
