Chapter 78 Rhea

Chapter 78 Rhea

RHEA'S POV

Estefan's feet bounced as we sat on the roller coaster, getting ready to move.

"Are you okay? You seem nervous." I raised my eyebrows at him.

"Of course not. I'm fine." He gave me a small smile but I could tell that it was forced.

It was my first time on a rollercoaster, so I was scared but the excitement that was coursing through me surpassed the fear I was feeling. The roller coaster moved and Estefan gripped my hand tightly.

"What's wrong? Are you scared?"

"Yes." His eyes widened in fear as the speed of the roller coaster increased.

"Why didn't you say so earlier?" I yelled at him.

We gripped each other hands and screamed at the top of our voices as the roller coaster moved at full speed. My screams turned into laughter as soon as the ride came to a stop.
Estefan wasted no time in getting off as he tried to catch his breath.

"That was so much fun." I laughed as I got off.

"The ride?" Estefan gave me a confused look.

"Yes, but watching you scream like that was more fun." I laughed harder.

"Nobody must hear about this, understood?" He gave me a warning look and I zipped my lips with my hands, trying hard not to burst into laughter again.

"Do you want to leave now and get something to eat?" I asked.

"Why? Don't you want to go on more rides?" He raised his eyebrows at me.

"I want to but you are scared of them."

"That doesn't matter. I prepared this for you, so I will endure whatever comes with it." He sighed as he looked around the park. "Which ride do you want to go on next?"

"That one." I pointed to another scary-looking ride with a big smile on my face.

Taking a deep breath, he took my hand in his. "Let's go."

We ended up riding every roller coaster in the Park before we left to get dinner. We stopped by a restaurant on our way back to the palace. The entire place was beautifully decorated with a table for two at the centre just like in the restaurant in Hawaii.

"Woah." I grinned from ear to ear. "Is this some sort of romantic dinner?"

"Well, yes." He shoved his hand inside his pocket as he stared at the table. "Our last dinner didn't go so well, so I decided to have a recap."

He pulled out a chair for me to sit in before he took his seat opposite me as the waiter came to take our order.

My eyes strained on Estefan as we waited for our food. "Why are you doing all this?" I asked to gain his attention. "Does it have anything to do with what I said this morning?"

"Yes," he confessed. "What you said made me realize that I painted a bad image of myself in front of you, so I decided that I need to correct that."

"That's so sweet." I grinned. "But you wouldn't have to go through all this trouble if you had listened to what I had to say after."

"I was too mad at myself to listen. Do you still want to tell me what is it you wanted to say?"

"I was going to say that if I was allowed to switch husband with Anna now, I would have refused." I noticed a smile creeping on his face but he was quick to hide it.

"Why?"

"Because the Estefan I met a few weeks ago is different from the Estefan I'm sitting with right now."

He didn't bother to hide the smile that appeared on his face, making me smile too.

The waiter brought our food a few minutes later and we dug in as we reminisce on the fun time with spent on the roller coaster. I even threatened to upload some of the pictures I took of us where Estefan was screaming at top of his voice, looking terrified.

After our dinner, Estefan drove us back to the Palace which was dead silent because everyone else has retired for the day. As we walked toward the elevator, I stopped and turned to Estefan.

"Thank you for today. I have never had so much fun in a day."

"The fun isn't over yet." He took my head and led me past the elevator, walking to the backyard.

We stopped in the middle of the dark and empty backyard, making me stare at him with a confused look. "Why are we here?"

"Wait for it."

In the next second, a firework shot up to the sky and exploded, lighting up the dark sky. "Woah." I watched in awe as more fireworks exploded in the sky.

"Do you like it?" He whispered in my ear.

"I love it." I turned to him with a big smile on my face. "Thank you for doing this for me again."

"You didn't get to enjoy the last one because you were mad at me, so I decide to put on other fireworks show for you."

"It's so beautiful." I stared at the sky that was being lit up by the different colours of lights.

"Yes, it is," Estefan said from beside me.

Turning to look at him, I noticed he was staring at me, not the fireworks. "You are not even watching the fireworks."

"Why do I need to watch fireworks when your face shines brighter." His eyes bored into mine as he spoke.

His words made my heart flutter and I bit my lip out of nervousness. He reached out his hand to caress the side of my face before his thumb came toward my mouth to release my bottom lip from my teeth.

With his eyes still boring into mine, he moved closer to me, bringing his face closer to mine. He stopped when our face was just an inch apart.

"Can I?" He asked.

“Since when do you ask for permission?”

"Since now." He smiled.

I wrapped my hands around his neck, bringing his lip down to mine. He snaked one arm around my waist and his other hand went to the back, deepening the kiss.

The feeling of his arm around me made me realize that I didn't want to be with anyone else.
