Chapter 73 Rhea
Chapter 73 Rhea
RHEA'S POV
After the two brothers left the dining room, I decided to call it a day too since I didn't get time to rest after my flight from London. I was about to announce that I was leaving but Esmeralda beat me to it.
"Why don't we have some ice cream before we go to bed?" she suggested with a huge smile on her face.
"That sound like a good idea. I've been craving something sweet for some time now but someone refused to let me have any." Anna's mom glared at Andrea as she spoke.
"I was only looking after your health." Andrea defended himself.
"This once won't hurt." Anna joined in as Esmeralda ordered some attendants to get everyone a bowl of Ice cream each.
As much as I wanted to join them, I couldn't because I had a terrible headache and it was already time to take my medication.
"I think I'll pass," I said, gaining everyone's attention. "I have a slight headache, so I would like to rest early."
"Sure, it's fine." Queen Carina smiled at me.
I stood up to leave but Anna's mom stopped me. "Come with me to my room." She stood up. "I have an ointment that you can apply on your wound, so it won't leave a scar."
"Okay, thanks." I followed behind her as we made our way out of the dining room.
"I think I'll call it a day too," Damien's voice reached my ears as I stepped out of the dining room.
Throughout the dinner, he made me uncomfortable by staring at me now and then. He didn't even care that Estefan was right next to me as he shamelessly ogled at me. I noticed Estefan glaring at him a few times but he ignored it. It seems to me that Estefan didn't want to cause a scene during the dinner which was why he kept quiet.
Anna's mom stepped into the elevator and I followed behind her. The lift stopped on the second floor and a smile made its way to my face when she stepped out and entered my old room. Walking in after her, I took in the state of the room and noticed it was still in the same shape I left it.
"Here is it." She handed the ointment to me. "Apply it on the injured spot every day and it will heal without leaving a scar."
"Thank you so much. I'll take my leave now." I exited her room and entered the elevator, making my way to the fourth floor.
As I entered my room, I locked the door behind me as Estefan instructed. I was about to remove my clothes to take a bath when I noticed a small piece of paper on the bed. I picked it up to see that it was a message from Estefan, telling me to come to the pool. I wondered what he was planning to do this time.
Dropping the note on the bed, I opened the door and stepped out of the room. I stopped one of the attendants walking by and asked, "Where is the pool?"
"It's in the outhouse at the back of the palace," she replied with her head bowed.
"Thanks." I took the elevator and went back to the first floor.
When I stepped out, I could hear the laughter of everyone else in the living room but I went in the other direction toward the backyard. As soon as I stepped out, I spotted the outhouse and walked inside to see a big swimming pool.
"Estefan. Estefan," I called but I got no response.
Wasn't he here yet? I glanced around but there was no sign of him. The door opened and I turned in that direction with a smile on my face expecting to see Estefan. My smile dropped when I saw Damien stalking toward me with an evil smile on his face.
"I see you came here after getting my message."
"Your message?" I raised my eyebrow at him. Did he drop that note on the bed, claiming it was from Estefan? I couldn't believe I fell right into his trap. I needed to get out of there fast.
"Yes." He moved slowly toward me. "I couldn't get some time alone with you, so this is the only way I could think of."
"I should leave." I tried to walk past him but he held my hand and pulled me close to him, wrapping an arm around my waist.
He caressed the side of my face. "Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are? When I set my eyes on you, I thought I was in heaven because you looked like an Angel."
"Please let me go." I wiggled my body to get out of his hold but his arm tightened around me.
"Come on, don't be like that," he whispered. "We can have so much fun together without your Estefan knowing."
"Somebody please help!" I screamed, hoping that someone would come to the backyard and hear me.
"Shut the fuck up." He shoved me hard against the wall, making my head hit the wall.
Pain surged through my already injured head and I started to feel dizzy. Damien's hands roamed around my body as he kissed my neck. I forced myself to stay awake as my eyelids fluttered because I didn't want to leave my body vulnerable to him. Using all the strength I had left, I tried to push him away from me but he didn't budge as my weak arms were nothing compared to his strong body.
"Please stop," I whispered as the pain in my head increased and my vision started to get blurry.
I was slowly slipping out of consciousness when a familiar voice called reached my ears. "Rhea!!!"
A sigh escaped my lips and I slid to the ground when Damien's body was pulled away from me. I held onto my throbbing head as a protective arm wrap around me.
"Rhea, are you okay? Please look at me," Estefan said with anxiousness laced in his voice.
I looked up to see a blur vision of his face. "My head, it hurts," I mumbled as tears rolled down my cheeks.
"Just hang in there." He lifted me from the ground in a bridal style, moving out of the outhouse as fast as he could.
The cold breeze hit my skin, indicating that we were outside as I heard other voices around me.
"What happened to her?" A familiar voice said but I wasn't in my right sense to process who was talking as I was feeling unbearable pain in my head.
"She needs a doctor now," Estefan yelled before I slip out of consciousness when my body could no longer take the pain.
