Chapter 255

Chapter 255
Alia POV

Hearing Marco's voice, Marcello looked up and saw Marco's eye-catching car parked by the roadside.

Marcello strode over and sat in the passenger seat, saying: "I remember you never drink. Why did you think of inviting me for drinks today? And at night too - aren't you going home to accompany Alia and Giulia?"

Marco started the car while saying: "I've never invited you for drinks in all these years. Today I'll drink with you once."

Marcello said: "Alright then. Let's not go home until we're drunk."

Marco nodded without speaking.

He didn't like bars and nightlife venues, so he chose a relatively quiet place for drinking - a small bar by the sea.

There were quite a few people in this kind of place, but most who came here were couples on dates, drinking and talking sweet words in pairs, with no one making loud noise.

When the two handsome men with powerful auras appeared, they immediately drew many gazes. The waiters couldn't take their eyes off them, and neither could the surrounding customers.

Marcello said: "Going out with you, the rate of people turning to look increases."

Marco didn't respond, maintaining his aloof appearance that kept strangers at bay.

Marco and Marcello chose a private room on the second floor by the window, where they could see pedestrians strolling outside and the night view of the distant coastline.

With the gentle sea breeze, twinkling colorful neon lights, and the beautiful scenery, this seaside city corridor was indeed a good place for many couples to stroll.

After sitting down, Marcello ordered alcohol, while Marco ordered tea...

Marcello glanced at him and said dissatisfiedly: "You invite me for drinks but drink tea yourself - do you have to disgust me like this?"

"My Alia and Giulia both don't like the smell of alcohol." Actually, Alia had never said she disliked the smell of alcohol. Marco remembered that the old Alia could drink quite well, but he didn't want to go home to his wife and child smelling of alcohol.

"I really couldn't tell before that you, a workaholic, could value your wife and child so much." In all of Marcello's memories...

The drinks and snacks were quickly brought over. Marcello, being a soldier with a forthright nature, didn't bother with glasses and drank straight from the bottle.

Marco didn't touch the tea in front of him, looking at Marcello thoughtfully.

Marcello finished a bottle in a few gulps, put it down, and said: "Marco, if you want to get me drunk to extract information from me, it's impossible."

Marco smiled faintly without speaking.

While eating, Marcello said: "I've already told you before - you have people you want to protect, and I have people I want to protect. We should each do our own things well."

Marco said: "Marcello, I'm simply inviting you for drinks, don't overthink it."

"Just simply inviting me for drinks?" Marco wasn't the type to have idle time to invite him for drinks, so Marcello definitely didn't believe he was just treating him to drinks.

Marco picked up his tea and took a sip to moisten his lips, saying: "I believe you already know what Simone's identity is - the one who's been having rumors with Sabrina."

"Yes, I do know." Ever since Simone had set his sights on Sabrina, Marcello had already sent people to investigate Simone's identity.

Marco said: "His appearance helped me solve a mystery I could never unravel."

Hearing Marco's words, Marcello's drinking motion paused slightly: "You know?"

Marco nodded: "Simone is from the Dragon Country and was once betrothed to the daughter of the Dragon Country's princess through an arranged childhood marriage. But twenty years ago, the Dragon Country princess's family vanished into thin air. They disappeared - no one knows where they went."

Marcello asked: "What do you want to do?"

Marco continued: "I want you to cooperate with me. Let's investigate what happened back then and get to the bottom of it."

Marcello said: "Why come to me? If you wanted to investigate, you could definitely find out."

Marco: "You've been investigating for years, but still haven't found any clues. I think my subordinates still have some distance to go compared to your intelligence personnel."

Marcello laughed: "I want this matter to sink to the bottom forever, not let it surface."

Marco suddenly smiled coldly: "You all understand that paper cannot wrap fire. Rather than trying to bury this matter, it's better to investigate clearly and give everyone an explanation."

After finishing the conversation with Marcello and returning home, it was already late. Giulia was fast asleep, and I was accompanying her, holding needle and thread in my hands, hand-sewing clothes for Giulia stitch by stitch.

For more than three years, I hadn't been by Giulia's side, hadn't watched her grow up with my own eyes - this was a huge regret in my heart.

So after returning to Giulia's side, I tried to personally do every small thing for her.

Marco had been standing at the doorway for quite a while, but I still hadn't noticed him. He coughed lightly, trying to get my attention.

Who knew I was too focused on my work - hearing the sudden sound, my hand holding the needle trembled slightly, and the needle tip accidentally pricked my finger, making me furrow my brow slightly from the pain.

Marco strode over, grabbed my hand, and seeing blood beading up, he put it in his mouth without thinking and gently sucked on it.

The tingling sensation spread from my fingertip throughout my entire body. I tried to pull my hand back, but Marco gently bit it.

He released it and said: "So careless. Don't do these things anymore."

I rolled my eyes at him: "Mind your own business."

"Hmm? Don't want me to mind your business - who do you want to mind it?" Marco moved closer to me and bit my rosy cheek.

I pushed him: "You're a father now, yet you're still not proper."

"Being a father doesn't mean I'm not still a normal man." Marco threw aside the needle, thread, and fabric, scooped me up in his arms: "Mrs. Vittorio, come bathe with me."

"Marco, I've already bathed." I had already taken a bath - what was there to bathe again?

"Accompany me."

"No!"

"I want you to!"

I knew Marco wasn't really asking me to accompany him bathing. This bad guy!

...

"Alia—" Marco stroked my head, softly calling my name.

I buried my head in the pillow, not wanting to pay attention to this bad man, not wanting to acknowledge him at all.

Marco pulled me into his arms, laughing low and deep: "You're already a mother, yet still so shy, so cute."

I bit his chest and huffed coldly through my nose: "Bad guy!"

Marco bit my earlobe and smiled wickedly: "Bad? I'm only bad to you. Other women who want me to be bad to them don't have that honor."

"Mr. Vittorio, are all the Vittorio family members this narcissistic?"

I finally understood why Giulia was so vain.
