Demien's POV. I stood in front of the men that we had just so narrowly escaped from. They all had angry looks on their faces, and I couldn't blame them. We had actually just killed a couple of them, or at least just one while another one was injured. That was enough reason for them to hate us, and enough reason for them to do everything in their power to kill us for real this time. "You aren't happy that you escaped the last time," the leader of them said to us, glaring at us. I looked at Jax, wanting him to see the point. That was exactly what I wanted to say, and exactly what I had been saying ever since he made this little decision to come here and still put his neck on the line when there were so many other things to do. We could be far away right now, but like the man just said, we weren't just satisfied, we weren't content with what we had, and now we were probably going to pay the price one way or the other. "No," Jax said simply, making my heart fall into my stomach. "You aren't happy, you will leave the people alone now. I'm giving you the opportunity to do so, and escape." He said, with a smile on his face, stepping forward, "either you do that, or you don't, and then you face the consequences. I won't spare you this time." He finished, my eyes were popping out of their sockets, and the man looked bewildered as well. Jax was speaking as though he was the one that had the advantage here, as if he was the one who had actually spared them the last time, and not them that had spared us. Instead, he started laughing after that. A hearty, deep rumble from the depths of his throat. Jax started laughing also, and it looked like the both of them were a psychotic duo for a moment. I glanced at Robert, and noticed that he still looked like he was in a daze. I wasn't more than a daze myself, I was pretty much petrified. "Alright then," the leader said, his voice coming back to normal, and stopping laughing, "is that you have what you asked for, you have your death wish." With that, all his men attacked without any further signal, without him having to tell us also. I knew that it was our time to strike, either we did that, or we didn't, and they overran us. I just didn't want to have any trouble, and I didn't want to die either, with the way Jax had done it right now. It was either we fought and lived, or we didn't, and die. I was not ready to die, so I didn't really have any choice. My gun was in one hand, and my sword in the other. I made quick work of one of the men, almost too easily, and then went after another one, plunging my sword into his throat. I froze instantly, wondering whether I had just killed two of them so easily. If it was that easy for us to have defeated them, then their defeat wouldn't have any advantage at all. If two of them against one of us was not able to take us down, then they were pretty much toast already. I was starting to feel very confident when suddenly I felt a stabbing pain in my hand. This was the first injury I had ever gotten in this entire fight. I looked up to see that I was faced off against one man that was actually small in stature. He had a gun in one hand, a pretty nice pistol, and another pistol in his second hand. I glared at him, feeling my blood pumping into my veins at a higher pressure. The fool had actually shot me and injured me. He was going to pay the price for that. I was after him the next moment, not even caring to bring out my gun to shoot at him with what he had done to me. He didn't deserve to die a quick death by a bullet. Even if I could shoot him and bleed him to death by not targeting the vital organ, no, he deserved to be torn apart. That was the only thing that would pacify me right now. He had to be torn apart by my own bare hands. He shot a couple of bullets at me with a smile on his face, but I evaded them by calculating the trajectory of the gun before he shot it. Pretty much moving as fast as was enough for me to evade them. No, I wasn't that fast after all. I wasn't actually an alpha of a pack yet and didn't have that amount of power within me, but it was pretty much easy for me to do that. Since I already had prior knowledge of where the bullet was going to hit, if not for that, I wouldn't have been fast enough to evade it just in time. I was before him the next moment, and just as I thought it was all over for him, he brought out his fists and punched me right in the face. A brutal attack that sent me staggering. I saw his gun come out. He was about to shoot me again when I was unstable. My eyes were rather blurred and I knew I wouldn't be able to dodge this one if he made the shot. I wasn't going to leave my fate in the hands of chance by jumping to the ground or something, hoping he wasn't shooting there. No, I was going to take it in my own hands. I brought out my own gun as quick as lightning and shot him in his hand. His gun dropped to the ground and he let out a cry of pain that was simply music to my ears. I smiled broadly looking at him and knowing that he was toast. My claws were in his throat the next moment and I ripped it apart, tearing him from the inside out. I continued to tear his flesh apart a long time after he was dead before finally getting a little relief from the bloodlust that was going through my veins at that moment. My eyes were red and it was all I could do to stop myself from turning into a werewolf. I turned to look at my next opponent and noticed that it was a werewolf itself. This person had transformed into his primal form and now he was about to face off against me. "About time," I said, shaking my head as I transformed into my own werewolf. My werewolf was already agitated and pretty much ready for a fight and here he was challenging me in his own werewolf form. I might have kept it balanced and simple by not transforming, but with what he had done himself, there was no need for me to hold back. I sniffed the air, feeling the blood enter into my senses and cloud it. Bloodlust was one of the last things someone wanted another werewolf to have when facing off against them because that was definitely going to make that werewolf more aggressive and when it came to a fight between two werewolves, tactics didn't really matter. At least not in the early stage. The tactics only mattered later on when the fight started to drag out and the both of them were trying to get their senses back completely because in the initial stages it was more of them thinking as the body was still adapting to the werewolf form and wasn't able to completely take control of the mind. I was in front of him in my stance, staring at his face with my claws and swiping again and again. He retreated relentlessly even though his normal instinct was to attack. I knew that it was all he could do to keep himself from rushing into one of my attacks brutally just because he didn't want to be on the defensive and getting torn off. I couldn't really think of anything. I didn't make up anything and I just kept on clawing at him until finally I had one of his eyes ripped out. I smiled at him, feeling the triumph coursing through my veins. Or at least I tried to smile in my werewolf form. It was rather hideous, or at least I was pretty sure of that. I let out a howl and jumped upon him. He put up a nice fight, but it wasn't enough; before long, I had him completely on the ground, bleeding to death. I wasn't going to tear this one apart, no. I would make the death slow and painful for him. I would watch while everything was going wrong and his life flashed before his eyes. There was probably no better joy than this. I transformed back into my human form, deciding that it was enough fighting for a moment. I wanted to see how the others were doing, and what was going on with the rest of them. Personally, I have taken out three of them, and last I checked, there were just nine. If Robert was able to take out two, then Jackson would take out three as well. We would pretty much have defeated them all, even if our last man was only able to take out one. Of course, that was the optimal scenario. I knew that things couldn't possibly go as smoothly as I had thought. When I looked around me and saw everything that was happening, I found I was right. Things weren't going just as smoothly. Not for everybody.
