"Illis?" Kenward, who was able to grasp the situation quickly, crouched down and stretched out both arms. When he reached her, Kenward quickly lifted the light body. Callista who felt scared immediately wrapped her arms around Kenward's neck.
The dog continued to bark loudly even though Callista was in Kenward's arms. Callista, who had always disliked dogs, immediately buried her face in Kenward's broad chest.
"Get that dog away from me, Kenward!" Callista pleaded with the movement of her fingers.
Kenward changed his gaze to a sharper and more intimidating one. The dog in front of him was immediately made to shrink. It stopped barking and sat obediently as if it had never made a mess.
"Bad dog! No more running around in this park!" a woman in her doctor's coat, hunched over because she was out of breath, chased after the dog. She was instantly bewildered by the scene before her.
It took her a few seconds to digest the situation. The woman hurriedly bent her body. Once again her dog had made a mess of a situation with a patient in this hospital.
"I'm sorry. I am the owner of this dog." The woman straightened her gaze, her eyes accidentally staring at a paper wrapped around a girl's wrist. Her chest beat so fast when she realized that the two people in front of her were VIP room users.
"Could you please get your dog away from me? My girlfriend is freaking out because of that dog."
"Again Kenward claims he is my lover," Callista thought. But Kenward had better get the dog away from her immediately.
The female doctor immediately pulled the leash connected to the collar around the dog's neck. She pulled on her pet who dared to act up to a VIP guest. She didn't know exactly who they were, but it was clear that the VIP rooms were only for those with great power.
The female doctor hunched her back again. She needed to fix this problem.
"I apologize for my dog suddenly chasing the patient. My dog always does that to people who pick flowers in this garden, his favorite garden."
Kenward looked down at Callista's hand where there were some flower petals. Kenward laughed inwardly, while Callista was enduring the shame that was eating away at her. She lowered her face even more.
"I think I need to apologize to you, doctor," Kenward said with a warm smile.
"You should have told me you wanted a bouquet," Kenward whispered right in Callista's ear. The girl was instantly mortified. Her cheeks heated up and her heart beat faster than usual.
The female doctor returned Kenward's smile with a friendly one. Now the problem was solved. She wouldn't get any repercussions from what her dog did, right? It would be much better if the two people in front of her forgot about this incident.
"It's okay. Then, I'll excuse myself." The female doctor bowed her head slightly which Kenward returned in kind.
Callista immediately pulled her face away from Kenward's broad chest after hearing the footsteps that were now quite far away from where she was.
"Don't keep teasing me! I did it unconsciously because the flower looked attractive to my eyes."
Kenward lowered Callista back into her wheelchair. He folded one of his legs to align himself with Callista.
"It's okay. You can do everything you want and I'll take care of the parts you don't like."
Callista turned her face the other way. What was wrong with her? Why did her cheeks blush so easily like boiled crabs? Oh, this is so embarrassing!

Kenward stopped his steps. He opened the door to the room first and then repositioned himself behind Callista. He gently pushed the wheelchair Callista was in.
"Do you want to lie down on the bed?"
Callista shook her head. Her back would get hard if she just lay down every day. However, she also wanted something soft to sit on, not this slightly hard wheelchair.
"Move me to the sofa instead." Callista stretched her arms forward and Kenward immediately agreed. He lifted the petite body and placed it gently on the sofa.
Kenward glanced at the watch on his hand. It was almost noon. It was almost too late for Callista to take the medicine.
"Illis, aren't you hungry? It's time for you to take your medicine."
Callista shifted her gaze, which had been busy assessing the sofa now looked closely at Kenward who was sitting next to her.
"I'm honestly very hungry, but I don't want to eat bland porridge."
Kenward sighed. His gaze shifted from the bowl of porridge and other accompaniments on the nightstand. They had delivered breakfast to Callista. But the patient herself didn't want to eat it.
"I want a burger!" Callista exclaimed with a sweet smile.
Kenward stroked Callista's hair lightly. "There are no burgers here and you can't eat burgers. Do you want to eat a jam bun instead? If you want to get better you have to keep eating Illis, you have to take medicine."
Callista sighed. Well, there was no point in her being stubborn like this. It was strange, but she wanted a burger for now. Her mommy's favorite food which was also her favorite food. Whenever she was sick, the first thing she remembered was the warm hands of her mommy who took care of her as a child.
"I'm reminded of Mommy," Callista thought.
Kenward looked at Callista intensely. Including the sudden change of expression on Callista's face, it was recorded in his eyes.
"For breakfast and lunch, you must not eat foods that are difficult to digest. Later at dinner during the meeting, you can eat any food but in moderation."
Callista nodded in understanding. Jam bread was still better than plain porridge.
"I'll eat it to fill my stomach."
Kenward smiled slightly. His gaze shifted to the phone screen in his hand. His fingers danced over the flat box.
"We'll have breakfast in ten minutes. They'll deliver our breakfast."
A knock on the door snatched the attention of the two humans who were busy with their activities. Kenward was busy with the cell phone in his hand, while Callista was busy daydreaming.
"Come in."
Two bodyguards with faces that were unfamiliar to Callista, entered her room. They bent their backs for a moment and then straightened their eyes to give a report.
"Everything is ready, boss."
The other bodyguard placed a jumbo paper bag on the table. Kenward gave a small nod in response. The two bodyguards returned the salute and walked away.
"Why did you change them?"
Kenward's eyebrows drew together. "Who are they?"
"Your two previous subordinates, of course. Where are they?" Callista asked with a probing look in her eyes. Though she already felt a little comfortable with those two people. Despite the flat expressions they continued to display, they had helped her in some way. It wasn't fair that they were just pushed aside!
