Callista gasped in surprise when the door closed with a slight bang. She looked at Kenward who was sitting across from her. Since when did that man get into the car? And since when was the door beside her closed?
Callista turned her face in the other direction. How could she daydream about that when she was in this state? Did she forget it was the man next to her who had put her in this condition?
"You can close your eyes if you feel sleepy."
Callista glanced at Kenward and then turned to stare out the car window. The car they were in was moving out of the area of the hospital known for its advanced technology and many great doctors.
"Umm, Kenward?"
Feeling summoned, the owner of the name turned his attention away from the rather wide flat box in his hand. One of his eyebrows raised in response to the call.
"Are you going to come to the school festival with me?" asked Illis hesitantly.
"Of course. I never take back a word I've said."
Callista stared intensely at Kenward's appearance from bottom to top. He who felt stared at then turned his attention again from the work he was doing.
"What's wrong?"
Callista looked straight ahead. "Are you going to a business meeting?"
Kenward looked at his appearance. There was nothing wrong. Why was his girl looking at him like he was wearing cardboard clothes?
"There is no business meeting. I'll keep you company this afternoon at the mansion and go to the festival together in the afternoon."
Seeing the look in Kenward's eyes made Callista press her hand to her forehead. This man did not understand the dress code that should be worn at the festival.
"You don't need to wear a very neat tuxedo like that. People will look at you strangely if you come to a casual festival in that outfit."
Kenward sighed because Callista was so concerned about the clothes he was wearing. Wait, Callista was paying attention to him? The thought of that somehow made him feel good.
Kenward shrugged his shoulders. "Alright, I'll change clothes later at the mansion. I should wear casual clothes, right?"
Callista nodded her head in response. Wait, why did the man next to her suddenly agree to her proposal so easily? Without the usual interrogating gaze thrown at her? What was wrong with this guy? His attitude had changed quite a bit since she was hospitalized.
"Are you sure you want to accompany me to the festival?" Callista asked once again. Because a festival must be filled with many people. A place where rubbing shoulders with strangers was not a problem.
Kenward nodded his head. "Yeah. And I also have a little interest there."
Callista nodded her head. There was nothing wrong with her sense of hearing. Kenward did want to go to the festival with her voluntarily. Underline voluntarily.
"Do you already have the clothes you'll be wearing to the festival?"
Callista nodded her head. "Of course. I'll use the clothes in the walk-in closet."
Kenward shook his head. "Then let's take a quick trip to the nearby mall to buy some clothes for you. You have to wear one of those clothes to come to the festival."
Callista shrugged her shoulders. Not a bad plan.
"Well, secure them first. There's no forgiveness if you fail the mission this time."
Callista turned her head, staring at Kenward with the aerophone attached to his ear. Her gaze dropped to the tablet screen that showed a line graph. The man next to her had a pile of work to complete. But why did he prefer to accompany her at this time?
"Bring that man before me. I will judge his ability myself."
"Nothing."
Tut.
Callista hurriedly turned her gaze out of the window as soon as Kenward was about to return her gaze. What was she doing just now? She did not realize she was looking at Kenward seriously. That man must be misunderstanding her right now. Ah, never mind about that!

A dark-gray Bugatti was beautifully parked in an underground parking lot. Kenward got out first with the car door opened by his bodyguard. He walked his long legs around the car. Kenward deftly carried Callista and placed the girl in the wheelchair that had been arranged by his bodyguard.
Many pairs of eyes were staring intently at the couple. But of course, the first thing that caught their attention was the car that Kenward and Callista were riding in. An exorbitantly priced car of which there were only five in the world. They were amazed to see the car with their own eyes.
Callista cast her eyes around. Confusion engulfed her. Why were so many people in the underground parking lot instead of going inside the mall? Not wanting to be bothered, Callista straightened her eyes again.
The security guards at the mall bowed their backs simultaneously as they passed through the mall doors. In contrast to the crowded underground parking lot, the mall on the basement floor was quite quiet.
"We'll look for your clothes first," Callista suggested which was answered with Kenward's dejection.
Callista, Kenward, and the two bodyguards behind her stepped into a well-known brand store. They were immediately greeted by two female clerks with friendly smiles.
"What style of clothes are you looking for?"
Callista raised her head to look at Kenward. "Did you choose it yourself or did I help you choose?"
Kenward looked at Callista who looked small because he was looking down at her. His hand moved on its own to ruffle Callista's hair.
"I don't know what casual clothes you mean. So you pick it out for me."
Callista nodded. "How many outfits do you want to buy?"
Kenward looked thoughtful. "Anything you think will fit me, I'll buy."
Callista's brows knitted together at Kenward's ambiguous answer. "Alright, I'll pick out five outfits. Three casual outfits and two formal outfits."
Callista turned to the two female employees who had been listening to their conversation.
"You've heard, right? Show me all the clothes you recommended."
The two female employees nodded in understanding. They waltzed away and a few minutes later returned with five hanger stands. Taking the initiative, Kenward pushed Callista's wheelchair to one of the hangar stands filled with men's clothing.
Callista's fingers moved to sort through the clothes with high-quality materials. That very serious gaze did not escape Kenward's eyes. When Callista asked him to attach the suit he was picking up from the hanger stand, he complied. It was for her, after all.
A lot of time was spent by Kenward and Callista. Kenward repeatedly went in and out of the dressing room just to be shown and assessed by Callista. Kenward didn't feel annoyed when he should have been furious that Callista was being so mean to him.
Callista stood silently looking at the twelve outfits she had selected from over a hundred that were shown to her. Her fingers tapped lightly on her chin as if she was thinking. It was a difficult choice, all these suits in front of her had their characteristics.
"Don't think too hard, Illis. You just got home from the hospital."
Callista froze in place. There was no mistaking her hearing, right? The psychopath was calling her by the nickname of the person closest to her.
