Flame Chosen;

Flame Chosen;
The labyrinth stretched endlessly, a maze of twisting corridors and echoing whispers. Shadows moved along the walls, muttering and rustling as if the place itself were alive. Arzu moved cautiously, feeling the floor beneath her heels, listening to the faintest sound. She realized the game had begun for everyone else too. Contestants darted from corridor to corridor, some whispering, some laughing nervously, others already making mistakes.

Above, behind heavy velvet curtains, three men sat in a private box, watching every movement. Masked, untouchable, and absolute, they ruled this underground empire. In four years, no one had dethroned them. They were untouchable, their power unquestionable, and their attention deadly.

The first man, Sarp, known as the Wolf of the East, wore a silver mask that caught the dim light. His fortune had been built on blood, tears, and ruthless deals. His voice alone commanded men to their knees and drew women irresistibly to him.

The second, Cenk, the Serpent of the South, wore a shimmering emerald mask. Once a politician, he had fallen into scandal but rebuilt his influence in the shadows. His words were honeyed, sweet in tone yet laced with venom.

At the center, in the main seat, sat Ateş Yamanoğlu. His black mask was streaked with red, flame-shaped veins tracing its surface. His name alone inspired fear and desire. His symbol: fire. Every spark, every flicker in the labyrinth seemed to whisper his power.

They watched quietly as Arzu moved.

“One more year has passed,” Sarp muttered, swirling a glass in his hand. “No woman has been strong enough to claim the throne yet.”

Cenk leaned back, smirking. “Patience, wolf. Power reveals itself slowly. But tonight… maybe it’s different.” His eyes sharpened as they locked on Arzu. “See the sparks?”

Ateş remained silent, but his gaze never left her. Every step she took was under his scrutiny.

Arzu pressed forward, feeling the labyrinth walls with her palms, her senses heightened. Other contestants were near, she could hear the subtle shuffle of feet, the almost imperceptible sighs and whispers. Each of them could mislead her, trick her, even trap her. This was a test of endurance as much as intelligence.

At the first room, a locked door blocked her path. On it, a metal basket held a parchment:

“Only the king’s fire opens the path. It burns in light, dies in darkness. Born from stone, it grows with breath.”

Her eyes flicked between the symbols etched into the basket: a serpent, a wolf, and a flame. The riddle left little doubt, the answer was clear.

The attendant brought forward three physical symbols: serpent, wolf, and flame.

Without hesitation, Arzu extended her hand.
“Flame,” she said firmly. The door groaned and creaked as it slowly swung open.

In the box, Ateş’s lips curved into a subtle, triumphant smile.
“She chose me…” he whispered under his breath.

The second trial awaited: The Hall of Mirrors. Countless reflections surrounded her, each presenting a slightly different version of herself. Taller, more elegant, more alluring, almost taunting her. The attendant’s voice rang out, cold and precise:

“You have five minutes. Fail to find the exit, and you are eliminated.”

Arzu’s chest tightened. Seconds ticked away. She pressed her hands against the mirrors, testing each one. Wall. Wall. Wall. Panic threatened to overtake her, but she forced herself to think logically. She lifted her head and addressed the camera.
“You didn’t tell me how to find the exit. Don’t judge me.”

Her heels clicked against the floor as she removed them, striking the mirrors with deliberate force. Some were fake; walls lay just behind them. Others shifted with her blows, revealing empty space. Finally, a gap opened a passage. Relief flooded her as she slipped through. She had passed the trial, unshaken.

The final trial was the most challenging: Awakening Desire. Masked men formed a tight circle around a single chair in the center. A cold, commanding voice filled the room:

“The body must awaken. Fail to arouse desire, and you are out.”

The room’s air felt heavy, charged with tension. Arzu’s pride resisted, but her determination to win pushed her forward. This was a test unlike any other; she wouldn’t submit to just anyone, yet she refused to lose.

Ateş, watching from above, ground his teeth in frustration. His pulse quickened as he observed her every move. He would not let anyone else claim her.

Arzu paused, weighing her options. She did not approach the men directly. Instead, she moved deliberately to the chair in the center, stretching out on her back. Her legs parted subtly, visible to the entire hall.

Slowly, deliberately, she slid the delicate straps of her dress off her shoulders. The fabric cascaded down, revealing her in a black lace bra, matching thong, and garter stockings. Her skin glimmered softly under the dim lights, highlighting every curve of her body.

Her hands moved with calculated intent, fingertips tracing her own body inch by inch. Neck to collarbone, over the gentle swell of her breasts, down her waist, and finally to the full curve of her hips. Each touch radiated a controlled, electric heat that no one could ignore.

Finally, her fingers found the lace of her underwear, teasing over her most intimate point. She leaned back slightly, letting out a soft, involuntary sigh.

The circle of men stiffened. Breaths hitched. Their control wavered. Slowly, the power shifted to Arzu.

With one final, bold move, she lifted her fingers to her lips, tasting herself. She maintained eye contact with Ateş, sending a silent message. Submission was hers to command.

And at last… it worked. The man responded without a touch, giving himself completely to her presence.

The room held its collective breath. Then the announcer’s voice cut through the silence:
“Trial complete.”

Arzu rose slightly, a small, victorious smile playing on her lips. She had not played by the rules. She had rewritten them herself.

The host’s declaration echoed:
“The winner of Dark Arzu… Arzu Bayrak!”

The kings rose. Sarp’s deep voice rumbled:
“Choose me, my queen. The world will kneel before you. I will make you untouchable.”

Cenk’s smooth voice followed:
“Or choose me, my jewel. I will be your servant. Be my queen, I will be your dog.”

Ateş’s body burned. His jaw clenched, jealousy and desire mixing into a dangerous surge. He leaned forward, voice low and gritted between his teeth:
“If she does not choose me, I will burn this hall to ashes with everyone inside. I will strip your flesh from your bones one by one and throw it to my dogs. Yet I will not give my woman to you. Now, let that guide your ambitions!”

For the first time in years, the games he had played felt meaningless. They measured what women would do for power. But Ateş had realized, for the first time, how a woman could beg for love and the dark obsession he held for her.

Arzu took a steady breath, eyes locking with Ateş’s:
“I… choose the fire.”

The hall erupted gasps, whispers, awe.
The wolf growled, the serpent smiled.
And Ateş leaned back, a predator’s grin spreading across his face.

Fire had chosen fire.
Nothing could extinguish this blaze now.
