Chapter 65

“You should’ve said no.” I shook my head disappointedly, “I thought I taught you differently but I was wrong.” I glared, and got out of the car.

“Yeah!” Jimmy yelled, backing me up as he pounced on Kaden as soon as he got out of the car

I held back a laugh, “Jim…”

He stopped biting Kaden’s head and looked up at me, “Huh?”

“Get off him.” I laughed.

He pouted and slowly slid off of Kaden. As soon as his feet hit the floor, he ran towards the supermarket.

Walking up to Kaden, I grabbed his hand and swung it alongside mine.

“I love you!” I grinned up at him.

He chuckled and kissed my forehead, bringing me closer. “I love you too, baby.”

I smiled and took forward. Kyle was trying to calm Jimmy down who was harassing a sales person.

Rick and Talia were ignoring them, acting like they didn’t know them. Suddenly, Jimmy lunged himself onto the worker. Oh my goodness!

“Jimmy!” I cried out exasperatedly, running up to them.

I pulled him off with ease and set him down. “Nice work, Kyle.”

“He’s just as crazy as you. Like I could stop him.” Kyle snorted as he walked off grouchily.

I thought about it and nodded, “So true. Apologize, Jim.”

“He wouldn’t tell me where the cookies were! I’m not apologizing to this cookie thief.” Jim glared at the frightened man.

“Now.” I ordered.

“Fine!” He huffed, “I’m sorry- that you’re a cookie thief.” He said quickly as he ran away from me like a mad man.

I sighed, “Sorry.”

The man nodded and quickly walked away from Kaden and I. I shrugged and started looking for the cookies when I heard a familiar voice sneer,

“Hey, bitch.”

I smirked and turned around, “Megan, long time no see. What's up?!”

I remembered her. The girl from the other day we played soccer who thought Bibi was my child and made a fuss out of it by being an unstoppable Karen.

She rolled her eyes and smiled seductively at Kaden, “Hey, sexy.”

I started to walk away when Kaden pulled me back and whispered, “You leave me alone with her and I’ll kill her.” in my ear.

I nodded and wrapped my arm around his waist, “How’ve you been, Meggy?”

“Shut up! You’re going to pay for killing Lashawna.” She snapped.

I frowned, “Lashawna?”

“Yes!” She glared at me furiously.

“I didn’t kill her. How the hell do you know?”

“I’m a Nymph. Lashawna’s best friend.” She smirked.

“Nymph? One of those short things off of Snow White?” I asked confusedly.

“No. A Nymph can control people’s body and feelings.” Kaden whispered, wrapping his arm tightly around my waist.

I nodded in understanding before quickly putting a protective spell on Kaden and I.

“So, you’re Lashawna’s bestie.” I sighed shaking my head, “I thought you had more class.” I said sadly.

She growled and stepped closer to me. Nymph’s growl too?!

“I should have known you were trouble.” She sneered.

I chuckled, “My middle name is trouble.” She growled and I shrugged.

“You got something stuck in your throat?” I asked, backing into Kaden, “Don’t take it out on me.” I added.

Kaden laughed, “Well, we gotta go. Peace!”

“Get back here you worthless miserable witch!” Megan hissed loudly.

“Witch? Oh, yeah. I am one.” I nodded, “But that’s not all I am.” Smiling, I started to walk away.

“What are you then?” Megan snarled. She snarls too!

“A lot of things.” I said vaguely as I looked for my delicious cookies.

“What. Are. You?” She growled lowly. Kaden tensed behind me and pulled me closer protectively.

“The Uniter.” I murmured, still looking for the perfect vanilla cookie package.

Megan gasped, “The Uniter?”

I nodded and grabbed a pretty big box of vanilla cookies because they looked great. I grabbed two of them because everyone knows one box of cookies is never enough.

“I’m leaving.” The girl I just noticed behind her said.

“Why?” Megan glared.

“She’s the fucking Uniter. She can kill you, bring you back, and kill you again for the hell of it.” Another girl said, backing up the first.

“I don’t kill people.” I decided to intervene.

“You killed Shawna.” Megan glared.

“She isn’t dead.” I laughed.

“We’re going now. Sorry, girl, we didn’t know you were the Uniter.” The first girl said as they walked away.

Only a boy stayed and he looked angry.

“What’s wrong with you?” I frowned at him.

“I want to leave.” He growled, glaring at Megan

Megan smirked, “Too bad you can’t.”

“Why can’t he leave?” I whispered to Kaden.

“I think he’s under the influence of her power.” He whispered back.

“Ah…” I sighed, “Don’t you know it’s bad to use your powers for evil?” I asked Megan.

She rolled her eyes, “I don’t care.”

“Would you prefer it if I took away your powers?” I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.

The boy smiled hopefully, “Please do. Then I can leave!”

I gave him a weird look before releasing Megan’s power off of him.

“You can leave now.” I told him.

He looked up at me in shock, “Her powers are gone?”

“No. They’re off of you.” I said turning around.

I heard footsteps running down the aisle and I knew the boy was gone.

“Who the hell do you think you are?!” Megan screeched.

“Cora, I told you the other day.” I said, grabbing Kaden’s hand, “Let’s go.” I looked up at him.

He nodded and we walked away from the fuming Megan.

“Where are the kids?” Kaden asked.

Suddenly I heard a loud squeal. “Jimmy.”

I sighed and we started looking down the isles until we stopped to see Jimmy hanging off of Kyle like a spider.

“Cora! Please, get him off!” Kyle begged as he struggled with the squealing Jimmy.

“Jim. Get off him.” I said in a strict tone.

Jimmy sighed heavily, “You got lucky.” He glared at Kyle as he slid off him

I laughed and he walked backwards to me, still glaring at Kyle; not breaking eye contact with him for anything.

“I got the cookies. Anything else we need?” I looked around.

“Popcorn, candy, ice cream, candy, lollipops, candy, more cookies,” Jimmy ticked off his fingers, “Candy.” He said again.

“You said candy, like, five times, idiot.” Kyle rolled his eyes.

“Shut up, butthole! Was I talking to you? Hell no I wasn’t!” Jimmy threatened, getting in Kyle’s face.

“Oh gosh. What have I done?” Kaden groaned quietly behind me, “It’s like there’s two Coras.” He muttered.

I turned around and put my hand on my hip, “Do you have a problem with two Coras?”

He smiled nervously, “Of course not, baby.”

I pursed my lips, “That’s what I thought.”

He laughed and pulled me to his chest, “I love you.”

I tilted my head back and smiled at him, “I love you!”

“Get off me!” I heard Kyle yell. I looked over and saw Jimmy biting Kyle’s forehead.

“Cora!” Kyle yelled, punching Jimmy’s leg.

“What?” I laughed.

“Get him off!” He yelled.

I shook my head, “Nope.”

“Rick! Help me!” Kyle screamed at Rick. All this noise was definitely going to get us kicked out of the supermarket soon.

“I’m good.” Rick whistled and walked away with his hands in his pockets.

“Talia?” Kyle asked hopefully.

“Do I know you?” She asked with embarrassment on her face, walking after Rick.

“You have nobody!” Jimmy yelled in victory as he hopped off of Kyle.

“Ugh!” Kyle groaned, fixing his hair, “You’re so…ugh!”

“Rude person!” Jimmy yelled before kicking Kyle in his baby maker.

“Ah!” Kyle squeaked as he fell to the floor, holding his crotch. Jimmy laughed and ran away.

“I need a doctor.” Kyle said with tears rolling down his face.

“Kaden, go get him.” I said pushing Kaden towards Kyle

“What do I do? Just pick him up?” Kaden frowned.

“Duh!” I yelled.

“No need to yell.” He picked Kyle up with ease.

Kyle clung to Kaden with one hand while the other was still holding his crotch.

“Let’s go.” Kaden said, gesturing towards the open cashier. No queues, thankfully.

I nodded and started walking until I passed a big bag of skittles. I inconspicuously grabbed it and shoved it up my shirt. I kept walking like I didn’t do anything.

“I saw that.” Kaden laughed.

I narrowed my eyes at him, “Saw what?”

“I saw you grab that big bag of skittles.” He said, setting Kyle back on his feet. He seemed to be doing fine now.

Grinning sheepishly, I pulled it out from under my top. “Sorry.”

He laughed and kissed my forehead and I set the cookies and skittles on the little conveyor belt right by the cashier's desk .

“How’re you today?” The cashier guy gave me a polite smile alongside his pre-rehearsed line.

I smiled back, “Great. Choked a few people till they became unconscious. You?”

He blinked before he started laughing, “Funny.”

“I’m serious.” I rectified, wrapping my arm around Kaden’s waist.

Shock and alarm dawned upon his face as he silently scanned the items under the scanner.

“Don’t worry. They’re not dead.” I assured him, smirking slightly.

He nodded, “That would be seven bucks, please.”

I looked up at Kaden, “You heard the man.”

Kaden laughed and pulled out a black PLAIN wallet. Why would you get a plain wallet? Get some masculine patterns up there; then it can be called a wallet.

He handed the guy two five dollar bills. The guy gave him back three ones and handed him the bag.

“Thank you, Guy.” I smiled and waved as we walked out of the supermarket.

We walked to the car and I noticed Jimmy wasn’t in it. This child!

“Where’s Jimmy?” Kaden asked.

I shrugged and opened the door, “Where’s Jim?”

“I thought he was with you!” Kyle yelled with wide eyes.

“Ugh!” I groaned before running back into the supermarket.

I ran up to Guy, “Can I use your speaker thingy?”

“Why?” He narrowed his eyes on me.

“I’m missing my little brother.” I said quickly.

He nodded and handed me a cool looking microphone.

“Jim Reid Montgomery! Get your ass in the car NOW!” I yelled into the microphone.

I heard a loud squeal before I saw a red head running out the doors.
