Chapter 66: Leaving a Clue

I didn't sleep the whole night and came up with a plan.

I knew that it wasn't realistic to escape from Quan Jinnian.

Otherwise, I would have escaped after so many attempts.

So, I used another method this time.

After breakfast, I stopped Quan Jinnian before he went to the office and told him that I wanted to go out to buy something.

He refused and mocked at me as I had expected.

"I really just want to buy something, you can get Zhao Dong to go with me if you're worried," I looked straight into his eyes.

Quan Jinnian froze for a moment before he quickly curled his lip. He stretched out his hand to grab my chin, and his eyes suddenly turned sullen, "Don't play any tricks!"

Zhao Dong, who was beside us, also looked at me with a doubtful frown. He also thought that I was going to use him to escape.

But they eventually believed me seeing that I didn't have the slightest panic.

Quan Jinnian agreed to let Zhao Dong to take me out to buy things on the condition that I couldn't bring anything with me.

After they got people to search my body to make sure that I had nothing on me, I finally left the place where I had been trapped for days.

"Go to Na'er Mall," I said blankly only after Zhao Dong looked at me impatiently when the car was already on the main road, after which I continued to look out of the window.

I saw from the rearview mirror that there were some cars following behind us, and I couldn't help but sneer.

I knew that given Quan Jinnian's character, he would never let Zhao Dong take me out without worry.

But I was going to disappoint this time, because I had no intention to run away.

I only wanted to leave some information to let Quan Shaoze know that I was still alive.

He might then be able to guess that things were definitely not that simple.

Not long after that, Zhao Dong parked the car in a hidden place in Na'er mall and took me out of the car.

Since getting out of the car, he kept pretending to hold my arm intimately to prevent me from running away.

The underwear store that I went into had average prices, but the store name carried the word "Feng" as in my name!

I bought two pieces of underwear and had them packed into a bag. I was about to leave when I saw Zhao Dong leaning against the door smoking impatiently without looking back at me.

My heart was pounding fast, and I felt that this was my opportunity. I took a step back calmly and came to the landline phone hanging on the wall in the store.

I kept staring closely at Zhao Dong's every move throughout, and I was so nervous that my palms were sweating.

Don't look back until I dial Quan Shaoze's number!

Finally, I successfully dialed Quan Shaoze's number, and he answered, "Hello."

Listening to his cold voice that I hadn't heard for a long time, I suddenly felt aggrieved and my eyes became teary.

Before I could say anything, I saw that Zhao Dong had already thrown away his cigarette butt and was about to turn around. I quickly bit my lip to prevent myself from making any sound, and then hung up the phone right away.
