Chapter 89 Nadia Was Rushed To The Hospital 2

Chapter 89 Nadia Was Rushed To The Hospital 2
"Sauna?" I thought, confused, and felt an unusual need to go after her.

Maybe it was all in my head, but I needed to see if she was okay, after all, ever since she said we were being watched, I'd had a nagging feeling.

What if something bad was about to happen? No, it couldn't be.

So, to clear up that doubt in my mind, I put the napkin in my pants pocket and left the room as quickly as I could.

A few minutes later, I was already on the third floor, which was a women's floor designated for relaxation.

I walked anxiously to the reception desk and asked the receptionist directly:

Where is Nadia Thompson?

Who are you and what is hers? - The bitch decided to question me.

"Don't mess with me, little woman," I thought, giving the arrogant woman a death glare.

"I'm Dean Hartford, the owner of this damn hotel, and Nadia is my girlfriend," I replied, relishing the receptionist's shocked expression.

"Mr. Hartford?" she asked, surprised and frightened.

"That's right, now show me where my girlfriend is," I said, holding back from throwing that woman out on the street.

"Please follow me," she said nervously as she guided me to where Nadia was.

After we entered the main sauna, she led me to an empty private room.

"Where is she?" I asked, scanning the empty room with my eyes.

"She's in the sauna," the woman said, pointing to a completely fogged-up door.

"How long has she been in there?" I asked, feeling that fear again.

"Three hours," the wretched woman replied, as if staying in a sauna for three hours was normal.

WHAT? - I yelled desperately as I ran to the fogged-up door.

I gripped the doorknob and felt like it was practically burning, and when I tried to turn it, I realized it was locked.

"Where's the key?" I yelled at the woman who remained standing there with a blank expression.

"The door should be open," she said, noticing all the effort I was putting into opening that damn thing.

"But it's not here!" I exclaimed angrily.

"Find the damn key or I'll leave you poorer than a beggar."

I looked at the woman, who turned pale instantly, and began rummaging through the cupboards looking for the key.

The woman looked like a slug, and I didn't have time to wait for her to find the damn key, so I stepped away from the glass door and kicked it.

Ahh! - The receptionist screamed in fright.

"Shut up," I said, kicking the door several times in a row, but the glass didn't even crack.

Then I looked around the room and saw an iron chair.

"This will do," I thought, grabbing a chair and heading towards the door.

I lifted the heavy chair with both hands and slammed it against the glass door, and as expected, the door shattered into several pieces.

Ahh! - The receptionist shouted again.

"What a shitty woman." I thought, feeling my anger ignite, and finally wanted to leave after a long time.

"If you scream one more time, I won't be responsible for my actions," I said in a threatening tone that made her immediately put her hands to her mouth.

"That's better." I thought, satisfied, and went inside the sauna.

Then I noticed that the sauna was steamier than usual, and that the temperature was so hot it made my eyes water.

"Nadia?" I called worriedly, trying to see something in the foggy room.

That's when I bumped into something soft on the ground, and when I crouched down I realized it was Nadia's unconscious body.

Nadia! - I exclaimed desperately, picking her up in my arms and leaving the stuffy room as quickly as possible.

As I was leaving the private sauna, I noticed that she was flushed and breathing heavily.

"Nadia!" I exclaimed, shaking her shoulders.

"Wake up, my love!"

"Call an ambulance!" I yelled to the receptionist who was standing there watching us.

"QUICKLY!"

She was startled by my tone of voice and ran out of the room.

"If she doesn't call an ambulance, I swear I'll kill her." I thought, feeling my rage mix with my blood.

Nadia remained unconscious in my arms, and with each passing second her breathing grew weaker.

"Stay with me, my love!" I pleaded, feeling tears streaming down my face.

I kept shaking her, but I knew it wouldn't do any good, so I held her in my arms and ran with her out of that damn sauna.

When I left the sauna, I was greeted by a crowd full of curious onlookers who stared at us as if we were some kind of hotel attraction.

"Did you lose something here, you bastards?" I yelled at them, and everyone looked away except for a woman in white who ran towards us.

"I'm a doctor," she said, looking at Nadia in my arms.

"She's severely dehydrated," the doctor said, and I noticed her pale features.

"Do something, doctor," I said through tears.

"I can't lose her, I can't..."

"She needs water and a hospital urgently," the doctor said, and then began asking those present for water.

Some stood still while others searched for a bottle of water.

"Here," said the receptionist, who this time didn't act like a slug.

"Thank you," the doctor said, and began trying to get her to swallow some water without choking.

"Did you call an ambulance?" I asked the receptionist, who was watching the doctor intently.

"I called them, they must be on their way," she replied nervously.

"That's something, at least." I thought, gazing at the woman of my life, so fragile in my arms.

"We need to leave the hotel and wait for the ambulance outside," the doctor said after managing to get her to swallow some water.

"Okay," I replied, feeling like my mind wasn't working normally.

I froze, and nothing came to my mind except the need to save the angel in my arms.

After we took the elevator and left the hotel, the ambulance arrived within minutes and I managed to convince them to let me go with them to the hospital.

They administered first aid to her, but she remained unconscious, and that made me feel helpless.

Because I could do nothing but watch, that's all, after all, my love would be of no use at that moment.

I think I zoned out for a few minutes, because I felt someone squeezing my arm to get my attention.

"We've arrived," the doctor said, pulling me out of the ambulance.

"Where is she?" I asked, noticing that Nadia was no longer there.

"They took her inside," the doctor replied.

"Shall we go?"

I agreed and ran with the doctor into the hospital, but somewhere along the way two nurses stopped me.

"This is the ICU, and you can't go in," one of the nurses said.

"Damn it, I can't!" I exclaimed, trying to get past the bastards.

"Calm down, sir," said the doctor.

"You can't do anything for her in there, just let me do my job."

I looked at her for a few moments, and after remembering her condition, I sighed and said:

Just don't let her die, doctor.

I will do my best, but I can't promise anything.

And so she went into the ICU room, leaving me alone with my thoughts and my anger.

I'm the one to blame; after all, I'm the one who left her alone in that room, I'm the one who abandoned her... But I can't live without her.

"She has to survive, because if she dies, I'll die too."
